Calacatta Viola Marble · Compact Flush Mount · E26/E27

A small cylindrical flush-mount ceiling lamp built around a hollow Calacatta Viola marble shade — Italian white marble shot through with deep plum and burgundy veining. The marble cylinder caps to the ceiling via a slim metal collar, leaving the bottom open so light spills directly downward. When lit, the bulb illuminates the inner surface of the stone, revealing the veining as glowing translucent patterns.

Each shade is hand-cut from a unique slab — no two share the same veining pattern, color intensity, or composition. A small piece of architecture for compact spaces.

Natural Calacatta Viola

Genuine Italian white-and-purple veined marble — every shade is one-of-a-kind.

Compact Flush Mount

∅ 12 × H 13 cm — fits low ceilings and small rooms where a pendant won't work.

Stone Selection Service

Pick your specific stone after ordering — we send photos before shipping.

Calacatta Viola Marble

Cream-white base stone shot through with deep plum, burgundy, and rose-purple veining. A dramatic Italian marble that pairs with cream walls, brass accents, walnut, and contemporary luxury palettes. Every piece is hand-cut from natural slab, so patterns, color intensity, and grain direction vary widely between pieces.

Pearl Black

Lustrous pearl-black ceiling plate with subtle iridescence — a darker contrast against the marble.

White

White-finished ceiling plate that disappears against painted ceilings — quietest option.

Stone Selection — How It Works

Because each marble shade is cut from a unique slab of Calacatta Viola, no two are alike. After your order, we'll send you photos of currently available stones so you can choose the exact piece before we ship.

  1. Place your order under this listing.
  2. Within 1 business day, we'll email you photos of the marble shades we currently have available.
  3. Reply with your preferred piece. We then begin final preparation and ship.

Compact size — for small spaces only. At ∅ 12 × H 13 cm (∅ 4.7" × H 5.1"), this is a deliberately small fixture suited to hallways, balconies, bathrooms, walk-in closets, and powder rooms. It is not intended for large rooms — it will look undersized in dining rooms, living rooms, or open-plan spaces. For larger areas, consider one of our pendant or chandelier listings instead.

Each piece is unique. Because the marble is cut from natural Italian slab, the photographs are representative — your unit's veining, color intensity, and pattern will differ. That singularity is the entire point of natural stone.

This is a deliberately compact fixture (∅ 12 × H 13 cm / ∅ 4.7" × H 5.1") suited to small spaces — hallways, balconies, bathrooms, powder rooms, walk-in closets, and compact entryways. What is Calacatta Viola? +

Calacatta Viola is a natural Italian marble — a white base stone with dramatic plum, burgundy, and violet veining. It's quarried in Italy and prized for its distinctive color contrast. Every piece is unique because the veining is formed naturally over millions of years.

Can I choose my exact stone? +

Yes — after you order, we'll email you photos of the marble shades we have in stock within 1 business day. You pick the one you want, and only then do we proceed to final preparation and shipping. If you have a preference for lighter, darker, more veined, or less veined, leave a note at checkout and we'll prioritize matches.

What bulb does it take? +

One E26 (North America) or E27 (EU/UK/AU) standard-base bulb up to 25W. We recommend a compact globe or A19-shape LED in warm white (3000K) to complement the marble's warm cream-and-plum tones. Bulb is not included.

Can I install it in a bathroom? +

Yes — this lamp is well-suited to bathroom ceilings, particularly above the vanity area or in general bathroom space. Because Calacatta Viola is a natural porous marble, we recommend installing it away from direct shower spray or steam concentration — avoid placing it directly above the shower head or tub where prolonged moisture could eventually stain or etch the stone over many years. Standard ventilation and normal bathroom humidity are not a concern.

The Marble Series

Sculptural fixtures hewn from natural stone — each one carrying the signature of geology, time, and the human hand.

Born of Time

Pressure, heat, and one hundred million years — nature's slowest brushwork. Each lamp wears a pattern that exists once, and never again.

The Material

From Stone to Illumination

Marble is not a finish. It is a material with a memory.

A metamorphic rock, marble is born of recrystallized carbonate minerals — limestone subjected to heat and pressure deep within the earth's crust over geological time. Its distinctive veining, the subtle gradient of its color, the cool weight of its surface — all are records of the forces that shaped it across millions of years.

"Where a manufactured material repeats itself, marble can only be itself. Each piece is the only piece — the sole physical expression of a particular vein, formed once and quarried once."

Signatures of Stone

Three Marks of Authenticity

Three qualities you will only find in genuine, quarried marble — and never in anything cast, printed, or manufactured to imitate it.

i. Distinctive marble veining — every pattern unique
Vena

Distinctive Veining

Each vein traces the path of mineral seepage millions of years ago. Nature's own brushwork — a pattern that exists once, on this lamp, and nowhere else on earth.

ii. Subtle natural marble color variations — cream, ivory, pearl grey
Tono

Subtle Tonality

Cream, ivory and pearl grey deepen in soft gradients, occasionally crossed by veins of warm caramel. Quiet, natural tones that grace every interior style.

iii. The cool, smooth tactile quality of polished natural marble
Tatto

Cool, Tactile Hand

A density and coolness only ancient stone can offer. Marble holds the air around it — substantial, calming, real. A weight you feel before you see.

From Quarry to Hearth

Five Stages of Slow Craft

From the raw block extracted at the quarry, to the moment the lamp is wired and tested in our atelier — every fixture passes through five hand-guided stages.

N° 01 / Cava
Quarrying — solid blocks extracted from natural marble quarry

Quarrying

Solid blocks are extracted from the foothills, where geological forces left their finest seams. Only stones with sound structure and clean veining are selected.

N° 02 / Lastra
Slab cutting — diamond blade revealing marble veining

Slab Cutting

Diamond-tipped blades part the block into precise slabs — each cut is a first reveal of the unique veining hidden inside the stone for millennia.

N° 03 / Scolpire
Shaping and carving — skilled hand work on marble

Shaping & Carving

Each form is cut by skilled hands — a patient negotiation between the designer's intent and the grain of the stone itself.

N° 04 / Lucidare
Hollowing and polishing — interior bored, exterior honed

Hollow & Polish

The interior is bored to delicate walls so warm light may pass through. The exterior is honed and hand-polished to its final, luminous finish.

Assembly and wiring — final integration in the atelier

Assembly

Wiring, sockets and fittings are integrated by our atelier team. Each fixture is bench-tested and inspected before it leaves the workshop.
