A pure tribute to the traditional French game of petanque, ‘boule’ is a variation of the game. The work is made by stacking different versions of hand-blown glass to create a dazzling effect, and the base is made of natural marble with a unique texture.

The stone story
One block. One lamp. One veining.
Marble is quarried in blocks, cut into slabs and hollowed thin enough for light to pass through — when the lamp is on, the veins show like ink in water. Because no two blocks are alike, every piece is one of one; the veining in the photos is a guide, not a promise. Prefer travertine, alabaster or a coloured marble? We cut those too.
