The Magdalene is a plug-in lamp — a 150 cm cord runs from the backplate to a standard wall outlet with no hardwiring required. Available in a single-head version (∅ 25 cm) and a wider two-head version (∅ 60 cm), both using the same 15 cm × 16 cm rectangular backplate.

The Magdalene connects via a 150 cm / 59″ plug cord directly to a standard wall outlet — no junction box, no electrician, and no wiring work required. Mount the backplate to the wall at the desired height, run the cord discreetly along the wall or behind furniture to the nearest outlet. Ideal for rental spaces, bedrooms where a switched outlet is nearby, and any room without ceiling or wall wiring in the intended lamp position.
Bulbs are not included. Both versions use standard E26 (US) or E27 (international) sockets. A 6–10W LED at 2700K warm white with a frosted or opal glass diffuser is recommended — the warm tone works with both brass and black finishes, and the frosted diffuser avoids a visible hotspot through the white fabric shade.

Brass or Black — which suits my interior? +
Brass is the warmer and more classical option — the golden body reads as a warm highlight against the white shade, and the wavy relief catches the light as a subtle golden texture. It suits traditional, French country, transitional, and warm-neutral interiors. Black is the more contemporary choice — the dark body against the white shade creates a graphic, high-contrast silhouette, and the wavy detail reads as shadow and texture on the matte surface. It suits Scandi, minimalist, and neutral-palette interiors where brass would feel too warm.
1-head or 2-head — which suits my space? +
The 1-head (∅ 25 cm) is compact and suited to bedside positions, narrow hallways, and walls where a single understated accent is the intention. Two single lamps can also be installed symmetrically flanking a headboard or mirror. The 2-head (∅ 60 cm) provides more output and visual presence — suited to living room feature walls, entryways, and positions where a wider lamp is needed without installing two separate fixtures. Both versions use the same backplate and the same plug-in cord length.
How do I install a plug-in wall lamp? +
Mount the backplate to the wall at your preferred height using the supplied hardware (screws into a wall stud or an appropriate anchor for your wall type). The 150 cm cord then runs from the backplate to a nearby wall outlet. For the neatest appearance, run the cord vertically down the wall and tuck behind a bedside table or piece of furniture to conceal it. A cord cover (available at hardware stores) can be used to channel the cord flush against the wall for a cleaner finish. No electrical work is required.
Is it dimmable? +
Yes, when fitted with a dimmable LED bulb plugged into a switched outlet connected to a compatible TRIAC dimmer, or using an in-line cord dimmer switch (sold separately and attached between the cord and the outlet). Specify “dimmable” when purchasing the E26/E27 LED bulb. Dimming to 30–50% produces a soft, warm atmosphere well suited to bedside and living room use.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
