Brass · Cut Glass · Crystal Swag
A French classical chandelier composed around a central glass bowl — six or eight scrolled brass arms radiate from a fluted column, with looped crystal chains swagging from the canopy down to the candlearms. Carved acanthus leaves crown the column; cast rosettes anchor each arm in the language of 18th-century court lighting.
The brass body carries hand-aged warmth — bright at the polish, deeper in the recesses where light catches. The cut-glass bowl beneath the candles diffuses a soft pool of light onto a dining table or open-plan living room. Available in two sizes: six arms for intimate dining, eight arms for grand foyers and double-height spaces.
Features
Cast Brass Body
Solid brass arms and column, hand-aged for warm patina depth.
Cut-Glass Bowl

Crystal Swag Detail

FAQ
What size room does the Desiree suit? +
The 6-arm version (∅ 30.7″) is best for dining rooms of 14–22 m² (150–235 ft²) seating 6–8. The 8-arm version (∅ 34.6″) suits 22–35 m² (235–375 ft²) — grand dining, foyer entries, or double-height spaces.
Is the Desiree dimmable? +
Yes, with the right bulb. The fixture takes E12 or E14 candelabra-base bulbs (not included). Install dimmable LED candle bulbs on a TRIAC dimmer and the chandelier dims smoothly.
What bulbs does it take? +
E12 (US) or E14 (EU) candelabra-base bulbs — six on the 6-arm version, eight on the 8-arm. We recommend warm-white 2700K–3000K LED candle bulbs at 40W incandescent equivalent for a soft, residential glow.
How is the brass finished? +
The brass is cast and hand-aged — brighter at the polished edges, deeper in the recesses. Subtle finish variation between pieces is part of the artisanal character. The chandelier is interior-only; not for steam-heavy bathroom or outdoor installation.
Does it ship with the chain and crystal swags attached? +
The chain is supplied at 50 cm (19.7″) and can be shortened by your electrician on-site. Crystal swag strings are pre-strung but ship coiled — gently reshape and untangle them before final hoist.

The crystal story
Cut to catch the light
Faceted crystal is cut and polished piece by piece, then hung so each drop throws light in a different direction — the sparkle you see is hundreds of small reflections moving together. Frames are brass or iron in any of our finishes.
Every room has a soul piece. This is where it hangs.
Some lights fill a room; a very few define it. An American crystal chandelier is the second kind — the fixture guests look up at first, the one the whole space quietly arranges itself around.
Not your grandmother's chandelier — iron nerve, crystal grace.
French crystal whispers, traditional European crystal parades. American crystal does something else: it pairs a strong, honest metal frame with just enough sparkle — tailored, modern, and easy to live with.
A frame with a backbone.
Aged bronze and matte black — finishes borrowed from workshop and farmhouse, not from a palace. The metal draws clean, confident lines that keep the whole piece grounded and architectural.
Sparkle, rationed.
Crystal used the way a tailor uses a pocket square — a deliberate few, perfectly placed. Where European chandeliers drip with it, the American cut lets a handful of clean facets carry the whole effect.
The right size is a formula, not a gamble.
The #1 crystal-chandelier regret is scale — too big crowds the ceiling, too small gets lost. Use these designer rules of thumb and you can't miss.
The grand gesture. A tiered or cascading chandelier centered in the entry — visible from the door, the stairs, and the street after dark.
Where crystal earns its keep nightly — a linear piece over a long table or island, a round one over a round table, sparkling above every dinner.
The unexpected luxury. A compact or semi-flush crystal piece turns a bedroom ceiling — or a walk-in closet — into a small daily indulgence.
Three worries, retired.
Every crystal buyer arrives with the same three fears. Here they are — each answered in one breath.
It travels suspended in molded foam, every strand bagged — and if the carrier wins anyway, we replace damaged parts free.
A load-bearing canopy and complete hardware come in the box. Anchored to a joist or braced electrical box, it's up for decades.
A static duster keeps the sparkle; once a year, a mist of no-rinse crystal cleaner drips it back to brand-new. No disassembly, ever.
How it travels — every strand bagged, every arm cradled, nothing touching the box.
One fixture. The whole room, decided.
Brass-framed, crystal-dressed, and sized for everything from a walk-in closet to a two-story foyer. Find the one your ceiling has been waiting for — and if you're torn between two sizes, send us your room dimensions and we'll help you choose.
Sizing a chandelier
Add the room’s length and width in feet — that number in inches is a comfortable diameter. Then check the ceiling can carry the weight.
