Hand-Carved Wood · Iron Arms · French Country Style
A six-light chandelier in classic French country farmhouse vocabulary — a hand-carved solid wood column flanked by six gracefully curved iron arms, each topped with a drip-candle stem and bobeche cup. The contrast between the substantial turned wood body and the slim sweeping ironwork is the design's quiet strength.
Each piece is hand-finished with a deliberately distressed surface — pigment rubbed into the carved recesses while raised areas wear lighter, mimicking decades of natural age. Available in three weathered finishes that suit different interior palettes.
Features
Hand-Carved Wood Column
Genuine carved solid wood — turned and detailed by hand, not molded resin.
Six Curved Iron Arms
Sweeping wrought-iron arms with drip-candle stems — classic farmhouse silhouette.
Three Distressed Patinas
Old wood, white, or gray-green — choose the patina that suits your interior.
Finish Options — Choose at Checkout
Old Wood
Natural aged-wood tone with darker grain in the carving. Warm, rustic, pairs with cream walls and natural textiles.
White
Distressed cream-white wash with golden undertones in the recesses. Soft French country, suits cream walls and linen.
Gray Green
Sage-green wash with darker shadows in the carving. Quieter, more contemporary — pairs with white plaster and Belgian-linen palettes.
Each piece is hand-finished. The distressed patina is hand-applied to the carved wood body, so the precise pattern of pigment and wear varies between units. Yours will be one-of-a-kind — that's intentional and part of the antique character, not a defect.

FAQ
Is the column real wood? +
Yes — the central column is hand-carved from solid wood, finished by hand with a distressed patina. The carving and wood grain are genuine. The arms are wrought iron with a hand-applied finish that complements the wood column.
What bulb does it take? +
Each of the six arms takes one E12 (North America) or E14 (EU/UK/AU) candelabra bulb — the smaller socket size used in chandeliers and candle-style fixtures, not standard E26/E27. Up to 25W per socket. We recommend warm white (3000K) LED candelabra bulbs for the most period-appropriate glow. Bulbs not included.
Will my piece look exactly like the photo? +
The silhouette and finish character will match the photographs, but because both the wood patina and iron finish are hand-applied, the precise pattern of color and wear varies between units. Yours will be one-of-a-kind — intentional and part of the antique aesthetic.
Can the chain length be adjusted? +
The standard chain is 30 cm (12") and can be shortened on installation by removing links. For longer drops — vaulted ceilings, double-height rooms — please contact us before ordering to arrange a custom chain length.

The wood story
Grain you can see, warmth you can feel
Turned, carved or bead-strung by hand from walnut, oak and beech, every wooden part shows its own grain and colour — expect the natural variation you would want from a solid-wood piece. Finished with low-sheen oils and lacquers that let the grain breathe.

Apalachicola Chandelier
It begins as a pencil line: a carved wood column, six iron arms that sweep out and turn up, a drip candle on every cup. Then it is carved, hand-finished and hung over the table, lit.
A French country outline, drawn in six parts
The silhouette is the classic candle chandelier: a turned column at the centre and a ring of arms that rise to meet the candles. Each part is shaped separately, so the proportions stay true to the drawing.

Carved wood and iron, finished by hand
The column is solid wood, turned and carved by hand rather than cast in resin. The arms are iron with a hand-applied finish chosen to match the column.
Solid woodHand-carved column
Pigment is rubbed into the carved recesses while the raised edges are worn back, the way decades of handling would leave them.
OptionalFabric shades
Choose bare candles for a period look, or add fabric shades to soften the light over a dining table or a sofa.
Every piece is one of a kind. Because the patina is applied by hand, the exact pattern of colour and wear differs from piece to piece. That variation is part of the antique character, not a defect.

Sized for the dining table
At 70 cm (27.6″) across, it suits tables seating four to six. Over a table it is usually hung so the bottom sits 76–91 cm (30–36″) above the top.
