Là où la simple Payson place un seul abat-jour en alabâtre sur le mur, la Double suspend deux abat-jour du même corps en laiton antique — empilés ou décalés le long de l'axe vertical pour créer une présence architecturalement plus substantielle. Chaque abat-jour diffuse la LED intégrée à travers les propres veines naturelles de l'alabâtre, produisant deux bassins de lumière chaude filtrée par la pierre qui se chevauchent. L'effet est plus dimensionnel qu'une simple applique : deux sources de lueur, deux gradients d'ombre distincts sur la surface murale à l'arrière.
Le modèle Double convient aux murs plus larges, aux pièces plus grandes et aux installations où un seul abat-jour semblerait trop petit — un couloir d'hôtel, un mur d'accent de chambre principale, ou de chaque côté d'une généreuse tête de lit. Deux options de pierre — Alabâtre Blanc et Marron — ajustent la chaleur et le caractère tonal de la lueur.

Le corps en laiton antique est fixe. Choisissez la couleur de votre abat-jour en albâtre ci-dessous.
Albâtre blanc
Pierre crème pâle à ivoire avec veines gris doux. La lueur la plus légère et la plus lumineuse — les deux abat-jour semblent presque rétroéclairés de l'intérieur. Convient aux intérieurs neutres et aux tons clairs.
Albâtre brun
Pierre ambre chaud à tabac avec veines caramel prononcées. Une lueur plus profonde et plus dorée à travers les deux abat-jour — riche et enveloppante. Convient aux bois chauds, à la terracotta et aux intérieurs aux tons foncés.
Chaque pierre est unique. L'alabâtre naturel présente des veines, des variations de couleur et une translucidité qui diffèrent d'une pièce à l'autre. Les abat-jour que vous recevrez ne seront pas identiques aux photographies — et les deux abat-jour d'un même luminaire peuvent également différer subtilement l'un de l'autre. C'est intrinsèque à la pierre naturelle, non pas un défaut.

L'alabastre blanc produit une lueur la plus claire et lumineuse — la pierre pâle transmet plus de lumière et les deux abat-jour ensemble créent un accent brillant et épuré. Idéal pour les pièces aux murs neutres ou clairs où vous souhaitez que la lampe apparaisse comme une finition discrète et raffinée. L'alabastre brun produit une lueur plus profonde et dorée sur les deux abat-jour — le ton ambré réchauffe notablement la sortie lumineuse et ajoute de la richesse au mur derrière le luminaire. Idéal pour les pièces aux tons bois chaud, aux murs foncés, à la terracotta, ou tout intérieur où la chaleur est la priorité du design.

Ils seront très similaires mais non identiques — l'alabastre naturel porte des veines individuelles et des variations subtiles de couleur dans chaque pièce, de sorte que les deux abat-jour d'une version Double auront des motifs légèrement différents. C'est inhérent à la pierre naturelle et c'est ce qui rend chaque luminaire unique en son genre. Le ton général (crème pour le Blanc, ambre pour le Brun) sera cohérent sur les deux abat-jour ; ce sont les veines spécifiques qui varieront.
Quelle est la différence avec la version Simple ? +
La Payson Simple dispose d'un abat-jour en alabastre (H 45 cm au total) et convient aux espaces plus compacts — chambres, couloirs et murs où un seul accent suffit. La version Double (cette annonce, H 50 cm au total) a deux abat-jour sur le même corps en laiton, offrant une sortie lumineuse plus importante, une présence visuelle plus grande et une présence plus architecturale. Choisissez la version Double pour les pièces plus grandes, les murs d'accent et l'encadrement d'une tête de lit large où un seul abat-jour semblerait visuellement fin.

Because alabaster is a living natural stone, every piece carries its own unique veining and tonal variation — a quality we celebrate rather than suppress. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. If you prefer a perfectly uniform finish, this collection may not align with your expectations — and we kindly invite you to consider this before placing your order.

Every alabaster lamp begins as raw stone and arrives in your hands only after passing through a sequence of precise, unhurried steps — performed by artisans who know how to listen to the material before they shape it.
Material Selection
Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.
Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.
Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.
Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.
Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.

Every alabaster fixture is completed by its metalwork — the canopy, stem, arms, and fittings that carry the stone and frame its glow. Each is available in seventeen numbered finishes from the Radilum Finishes Library: brass, bronze, iron, steel, nickel, and chrome characters, hand-applied and sealed, or a custom patina grown to match a sample you send us.

Order by number, not by name. "Antique brass," "aged brass," "burnished brass" — ask five workshops what those mean and five different metals come back. Finish 04 is the same physical sample in our studio, on the atelier bench, and on your packing list.

Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
- 01Never lift by the power cord.The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
- 02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
- 03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
