Abat-jour en céramique ou en aluminium — lequel choisir ? +
Choisissez céramique si vous souhaitez une lumière douce et translucide — la lueur de l'ampoule traverse le matériau céramique pour créer une ambiance chaleureuse et délicate. Choisissez aluminium si vous préférez une lumière directionnelle plus franche et n'avez pas besoin de translucidité — l'aluminium est aussi plus résistant au transport sans aucun risque de casse. Les deux produisent la même silhouette de parasol, simplement avec des qualités lumineuses différentes.
Quel type d'ampoule utilise-t-elle ? +
Une ampoule à baïonnette standard E26 (Amérique du Nord) ou E27 (UE/Royaume-Uni/Australie) jusqu'à 25W. Nous recommandons une ampoule LED blanc chaud (3000K) pour une ambiance résidentielle. Les ampoules à filament de style Edison vintage fonctionnent aussi parfaitement — l'ampoule est partiellement visible sous le cône, et une ampoule à filament ajoute du caractère d'atelier. Ampoule non incluse.
Quelle est la saillie au mur ? +
La saillie au mur est de 32 cm (12.6") — mesurée de la surface du mur au bord avant de l'abat-jour. Il s'agit d'une saillie importante adaptée aux murs plus larges ; pour les couloirs étroits ou les espaces restreints, mesurez votre dégagement avant de commander.
Puis-je la commander par paire ? +

Every Thetford fixture is designed to exist alongside the others — same vocabulary, different conversation. Mix Linear Pendants over the island with a Wall Sconce above the backsplash and the room reads as intentionally designed, not accidentally collected.

The Thetford Series offers two shade materials — not as a finish option but as a design decision. The choice between Translucent Porcelain and Industrial Aluminium changes the quality of light, the character of the room, and the decade the space seems to come from. Both are right. The question is which is right for your room.
The two materials are designed to coexist. A common specification: Porcelain pendants over the kitchen island (where atmosphere matters) and Aluminium in the pantry or utility area (where task focus is everything). The contrast reads as collected over time — the hallmark of a premium English interior.
The kitchen essential you didn't know you were missing.
Modern kitchens suffer from over-lighting — recessed LEDs spaced every 18 inches, illuminating nothing in particular at full intensity. Thetford brings light down to human scale, creating intimacy without sacrificing task performance. The ceiling becomes quiet. The island becomes the room.
The series is designed to be mixed deliberately. Porcelain over the island — Aluminium in the pantry — Sconce above the backsplash. Each fixture speaks the same language with a different inflection. The result is a room that reads as designed, not decorated.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
