The Block is een plug-in tafellamp met een Calacatta marmeren voet — het rechthoekige blokprofiel geeft de lamp zijn naam en structurele duidelijkheid. De voet is massief marmer, met de hand geslepen met de nerven die door de volledige diepte van het blok lopen; erbovenop een witte linnen kap die de E26-bron verspreidt in een warme, gelijkmatige ambiance. De harp — de metalen beugel die de kap ondersteunt — is afgewerkt in zwart metaal, de donkere accent geeft een opzettelijk detail af tegen het witte marmer en linnen.
Verkrijgbaar in twee maten — een compacte D 26 × H 28 cm en een volledige D 36 × H 40 cm — beide met een snoer van 150 cm / 59″. Geen hardwiring nodig; de lamp wordt eenvoudig in een standaard wandcontactdoos geplaatst.
Elk stuk is uniek. De Calacatta-marmering varieert per stuk — het grijs-gouden aderpatroon van uw lamp zal afwijken van de weergegeven foto's. Dit is inherent aan natuursteen en geen gebrek. Bij bestelling van een bijpassend paar kunt u ons vooraf contacteren, en wij zullen ernaar streven de marmeringen van dezelfde plak op elkaar af te stemmen.

Plug-in installatie. Beide maten hebben een snoer van 150 cm / 59″ — geen hardwiring of elektricien nodig. Het snoer loopt van de voet naar een standaard wandcontactdoos. Voor het schoonste uiterlijk kunt u het snoer achter meubels langs leiden of een wandinbouw-snoerkap gebruiken (verkrijgbaar in doe-het-zelfwinkels).
Gloeilampen niet inbegrepen. Elke lamp heeft één E26 (US) of E27 (international) standaardsocket. Aanbevolen: 6–8W LED A19/A60 op 2700K warm wit, geruit of opaal glas, voor een gelijkmatige diffuse gloed door de linnenkap. Vermijd heldere of blote gloeidraden, die als hot spot door stoffen kappen kunnen zichtbaar zijn.

Klein of groot — welke maat past in mijn ruimte? +
De kleine (B 26 / H 28 cm) is het meest veelzijdig formaat voor nachtkastje en bureau — het compacte marmeren blok oogt als een object met aandachtig materiaalgezag in plaats van een statement-lamp. Het past op smallere nachtkastjes, kleine bureaus en ruimtes waar een subtiele, verfijnde uitstraling wordt geprefereerd. De grote (B 36 / H 40 cm) is de dominante versie — het grotere marmeren blok functioneert als architectonisch element op het tafelbland en is beter geschikt voor bredere bijzettafels, salontafels en entree-consoles waar de lamp het primaire visuele ankerpunt vormt.
Zal mijn marmervlekking overeenkomen met de foto's? +
Niet exact — en dat is opzettelijk. Calacatta-marmer uit dezelfde steengroeve produceert in elk blok een ander vlekkenpatroon. Het grijs-gouden diagonale vlekkarakter zal consistent zijn, maar de specifieke dichtheid, hoek en verdeling van de vlekking in uw exemplaar zullen verschillen van de foto's. Mocht u een paar bestellen (bijvoorbeeld voor twee nachtkastjes) en wilt u nauw op elkaar afgestemde vlekking, neem dan contact met ons op vóór de bestelling — we zullen materiaal uit dezelfde plaat bronnen voor zover voorraad toestaat.
Hoe beheer ik de stekkersnor? +
De snor van 150 cm / 59″ biedt voldoende lengte om van de lamp naar een wandcontactdoos achter of naast het meubelstuk waar deze op staat te routeren. De elegantste opties: routeer achter een nachtkastje of bijzettafel waar de snor door de meubelkant wordt verborgen; gebruik een zelfklevende snorclip (verkrijgbaar in bouwmarkten) om deze netjes langs de plint te routeren; of gebruik een in-muur snorbescherming voor een volledig vlak resultaat. Voor installaties aan het nachtkastje verbergen veel gebruikers de snor eenvoudig achter het nachtkastje — met 59″ lengte bereikt deze de meeste standaard stopcontactposities.
Is het dimbaar? +
Ja, wanneer deze wordt voorzien van een dimmbare E26/E27 LED-gloeilamp en een compatibele plug-in inline-corddimmer (een rotatie- of schuifregeling tussen de lampsnor en de wandcontactdoos, apart verkrijgbaar in bouwmarkten). U kunt ook aansluiten op een geschakelde contactdoos die is aangesloten op een wanddimmer. Geef "dimbaar" op bij de aankoop van de LED-gloeilamp. Voor een nachtkastlamp geeft dimmen tot 20–40% voor het slapengaan het meest ontspannende, warm ambiante resultaat door de linnen kap.

Quarrying
Solid blocks are extracted from the foothills, where geological forces left their finest seams. Only stones with sound structure and clean veining are selected.
Slab Cutting
Diamond-tipped blades part the block into precise slabs — each cut is a first reveal of the unique veining hidden inside the stone for millennia.
Shaping & Carving
Each form is cut by skilled hands — a patient negotiation between the designer's intent and the grain of the stone itself.
Hollow & Polish
The interior is bored to delicate walls so warm light may pass through. The exterior is honed and hand-polished to its final, luminous finish.
Assembly
Wiring, sockets and fittings are integrated by our atelier team. Each fixture is bench-tested and inspected before it leaves the workshop.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
