Wood & Coconut Beads · Antique Brass · Pure Handcraft
A chandelier that brings the natural world indoors — concentric rings of hand-strung wood and coconut beads layer along an antique-brass frame, with carved coconut-shell talons swaying gently from the strands. Light filters through the woven structure with an organic warmth that no machine-made fixture can replicate. Airy in form, grounding in presence — equally at home above a dining table, in a coastal-inspired living room, or anchoring a serene bedroom retreat.

Installation
- Hardwired ceiling installation — a licensed electrician is recommended.
- All mounting hardware and a 50 cm / 19.7″ suspension rod are included. The rod length is adjustable on-site.
- Confirm the ceiling box weight rating before installation. While the chandelier is light for its size (the bead structure is more airy than solid), all standard junction boxes will support it comfortably.
- Handle the bead strands gently during installation — pulling forcefully on individual strands can stress the threading.
- For dining rooms, hang the bottom of the fixture 75–85 cm (30–34″) above the table surface. For high-ceiling entryways, extend the suspension rod accordingly.
FAQ
Why does it take 15 days to ship? +
Because every Antigua is genuinely hand-strung bead by bead by skilled artisans — there is no warehouse stock. When you order, your specific chandelier begins production: beads are sourced and sorted, the frame is hand-finished in antique gold, talons are carved from coconut shells, and the strands are assembled by hand into the layered structure you see. The result is a fixture that no factory-line product can match — but it requires patience.
Can I get it faster for a specific date? +
Possibly — please contact us with your deadline before ordering. While the standard production cycle is 15 days, in some cases we may be able to accommodate urgent timelines if production capacity permits. We'll be honest about whether your date is achievable. We do not recommend ordering without checking first if you have a hard deadline.
What is the difference between Wood Color and Black? +
Wood Color is the natural beaded look — warm honey-brown beads with subtle grain variation, organic and earthy. Pairs beautifully with reclaimed wood furniture, linen, jute, terracotta, and other natural materials. Black is the modern graphic option — the dark beads contrast sharply with the antique gold frame, creating a bolder, more architectural statement. Pairs well with darker stained wood, leather, and contemporary palettes.
Will my piece look exactly like the photos? +
The shape, dimensions, structure, and overall character will match. But because every bead is natural and hand-selected, expect subtle variation in bead grain, colour gradient, and talon shape. This is not a defect — it's the defining mark of true handmade work. Two Antiguas placed side by side would never be identical.
Are the coconut talons real coconut shell? +
Yes — each talon is hand-carved from real coconut shell, which gives them their natural grain, slight curve, and warm organic colour. They are not moulded plastic or composite. Because each is hand-carved, expect slight variation in size and curve — adding to the chandelier's organic character.
Which bulb do you recommend? +
A warm white (2700K) LED bulb in E26 or E27 base, at 4–6W per socket. Frosted or globe-style bulbs work beautifully — the warm light glows softly through the bead structure. Avoid cool-white or daylight bulbs — they fight the warm natural-material aesthetic and make the chandelier feel clinical.
Is it dimmable? +
Yes — paired with dimmable LED bulbs and a TRIAC-compatible wall dimmer (e.g. Lutron Skylark, Leviton Decora), the Antigua dims smoothly. Dimmed light is particularly atmospheric — the warm glow filtering through the natural bead layers becomes especially evocative.
How do I care for the natural materials? +
Switch off the wall power and let the bulbs cool. Dust gently with a soft brush, feather duster, or a vacuum on low setting with a soft brush attachment. Do not use water, soap, or any liquid cleaner on the wood and coconut materials — moisture can swell the natural fibres and cause cracking. Keep away from direct sunlight to prevent gradual colour fading over years.
What if a bead breaks or comes loose? +
Individual beads can be replaced. If a bead is damaged in transit or a strand becomes loose during installation, please contact us with your SKU and photos — we'll arrange replacement materials and guidance to repair on-site.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
