Natural Alabaster · Brass Cradle · Candelabra Bulb
A vertical wall sconce composed of a natural alabaster sphere cradled in a brass crescent arc, anchored to a circular backplate, with a slim brass tail descending below. The silhouette feels considered and architectural — three simple shapes (sphere, crescent, tail) arranged in deliberate proportion.
The alabaster glows from within when lit, revealing the stone's translucent veining pattern. Each sphere is hand-cut from natural stone — every piece carries unique markings. Available in two heights and two metal finishes.

Features
Natural Alabaster Globe
Hand-cut translucent stone — glows from within with unique veining in every piece.
Brass Crescent Cradle
Half-arc brass arm cradles the globe — a sculptural fixture detail.
Two Heights
Choose 32 cm for compact walls, or 62 cm for taller statement installations.
Metal Finishes — Choose at Checkout
Brass
Warm polished brass — pairs naturally with alabaster's cream tones, oak, and classic palettes.
White
Powder-coated white — the metalwork recedes, letting the alabaster glow take center stage.
Each alabaster globe is unique. Because the sphere is cut from natural stone, the veining and translucency pattern will differ from the photographs shown — that individuality is part of the design, not a defect.

FAQ
Which size should I choose? +
The compact size (32 cm) suits bedside walls, narrow hallways, and powder rooms — where a smaller fixture reads as a quiet accent. The tall size (62 cm) is a vertical statement piece — works well flanking a full-length mirror, in entryways, or as a pair anchoring a longer wall.
What bulb does it take? +
One E12 (North America) or E14 (EU/UK/AU) candelabra bulb — the smaller socket size used in chandeliers and candle-style fixtures, not standard E26/E27. Up to 25W. We recommend warm white (3000K) LED candelabra bulbs for the most natural glow through the alabaster. Bulb is not included.
Will my piece look exactly like the photo? +
No — alabaster is a natural stone, and every globe has its own unique veining and translucency pattern. Yours will share the same warm cream character as the photos, but the specific markings will be one-of-a-kind.
Can I order it as a pair? +
Yes — both sizes work beautifully as pairs flanking a mirror, doorway, or bed. Just order two units. For matched-batch finish consistency on larger orders, contact us first.

Sculpted by earth,
softened by light.
Rare natural alabaster, hand-carved by master artisans and illuminated from within. Every piece is unrepeatable — a singular convergence of geology and craft.
"Alabaster does not merely hold light — it breathes with it, casting a warmth that cannot be manufactured, only discovered."
Formed through millions of years of slow crystallisation, alabaster is among the world's most ancient decorative stones. When illuminated, it yields a quiet, golden luminosity — gentle, organic, irreducibly human. Our collection exists to honour that rarity, designing forms that allow the stone to speak without interruption.
No two stones
are ever alike.
Alabaster carries within it a geological autobiography — millions of years compressed into veining, crystalline structures, and tonal shifts that no craftsman could plan or replicate. Five expressive patterns emerge most consistently in our collection.

Pure
Clear SurfaceA near-uniform honey surface with barely perceptible variation — the rarest and most meditative expression of the stone.

Ink Marbling
Flowing VeinsSoft, fluid grey veining reminiscent of East Asian ink painting — atmospheric, unhurried, deeply contemplative.

Lightning Veins
Sharp BranchingBold, branching mineral lines that fracture the surface with dramatic precision — striking from any angle and in any light.

Ice Crack
Angular FracturesGeometric fissures suspended within the stone — sculptural formations that diffuse and scatter light with quiet drama.

Snowflake
Crystalline FlecksSuspended constellations of lighter crystalline matter — a delicate drift across the surface that catches light from within.
Natural Variance Is Not a Defect
Because alabaster is a living natural stone, every piece carries its own unique veining and tonal variation — a quality we celebrate rather than suppress. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. If you prefer a perfectly uniform finish, this collection may not align with your expectations — and we kindly invite you to consider this before placing your order.
One material,
every room in the home.
From the grandeur of a double-height chandelier to the intimate glow of a bedside lamp — alabaster scales with intention, adapting to every room's rhythm without sacrificing presence.
Five stages of
quiet craftsmanship.
Every alabaster lamp begins as raw stone and arrives in your hands only after passing through a sequence of precise, unhurried steps — performed by artisans who know how to listen to the material before they shape it.

Material Selection
Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.

Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.

Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.

Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.

Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.
To own an alabaster lamp is to welcome a piece of natural sculpture into your home — shaped by the earth over millennia, refined by artisans over weeks, and completed only in the moment it is illuminated.
Radilum Design Studio

Treat it as the
rare object it is.
Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
- 01Never lift by the power cord. The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
- 02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
- 03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.
See it in motion.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
