The alabaster story
Quarried in Spain, glowing from within
Spanish alabaster is a soft, translucent stone. Cut into shades a few millimetres thick, it turns an LED into a warm, even glow with the veining floating inside. Each shade is cut from its own block, so tone and pattern differ slightly from piece to piece — that is the material, not a fault.

Very happy with this sconce. The textured metal and natural stone make it feel a lot less generic than most wall lights.
The alabaster has more variation than I expected, and that’s probably what I like most about it.
We used the black finish in our hallway and I like how sharply it contrasts with the pale alabaster.
The shade feels more substantial in your hand than it looks online. Once everything is mounted, the whole fixture feels very solid.
We put two of these next to the bed and they work really well there. The light is soft enough for winding down at night, but still useful when I’m reading.
Really pleased with this one. I’d describe the overall look as warm and simple rather than overly dressed up.
The alabaster softens the bulb more than I expected. In the evening it creates more of a glow than a sharp beam.
I was surprised by how solid the alabaster feels. The natural weight of the stone matches the heavier-looking metal arm nicely.
