Ein U-förmiger kupferfarben gestalteter Stahlbügel hält eine Kuppel aus weißem spanischem Alabaster in einem definierten negativen Raum – der Bügel umfasst den Stein, ohne ihn einzuschließen, sodass die Wand dahinter durch den offenen Bogen sichtbar bleibt. Spanischer Alabaster ist ein feinkörniger Gipsstein höchster Reinheit: nahezu transluzent, mit einer weichen inneren Milchigkeit, die ihn von dichteren Marmorsorten unterscheidet. Wenn die G9-Lichtquelle aktiviert wird, transmittiert die Kuppel Licht durch ihre eigene Mineralstruktur und beleuchtet die natürlichen Äderungen des Steins von innen heraus, anstatt von einer Oberfläche zu reflektieren.
Der U-Bügel ist in einem warmen Kupferton hand-veredelt – ein rötlich-braunes Metallfinish, das gegen den blassen Stein warm wirkt und die natürliche Creme-zu-Weiß-Variation des Alabasters ergänzt. Zwei Größen – eine kompakte 27 cm und eine Standard 38 cm – entsprechen verschiedenen Wandhöhen und Abstands anforderungen. Beide Größen teilen die gleiche 10 cm Tiefe und sitzen nah an der Wandoberfläche.

Jeder Stein ist einzigartig. Spanischer Alabaster ist ein Naturmaterial mit individueller Äderung, Farbtonvariation und Transluzenz in jedem Stück. Die Schale, die Sie erhalten, ist nicht identisch mit den Fotos — leichte Unterschiede in der Äderung und in der Creme-zu-Weiß-Variation sind dem Stein innewohnend, keine Mängel.
G9-Fassung — Spannung des Leuchtmittels vor dem Kauf überprüfen. Diese Leuchte hat eine G9-Bipinne-Fassung, die für AC 110V Netzspannung ausgelegt ist. Die meisten G9-Leuchtmittel aus dem Baumarkt sind 12V-Niedervolt — wenn Sie ein 12V-G9-Leuchtmittel in dieser Leuchte verwenden, führt das zu sofortigem Ausfall. Spanischer Alabaster ist ein feinkörniger Gipsstein, der hauptsächlich in Aragonien, Spanien abgebaut wird — eine der wichtigsten Quellen für dekorativen Alabaster in Europa. Er ist wesentlich transluzenter als die meisten Marmorsorten: Licht dringt in den Stein ein, anstatt von seiner Oberfläche reflektiert zu werden, und beleuchtet die Mineralstruktur von innen. Die weiße Sorte zeichnet sich durch eine klare, milchige Transluzenz mit feiner Äderung aus — wärmer und organischer als Mattglas, weicher als polierter Marmor.
Klein oder Groß — welche passt zu meinem Raum? +
Die kleine Version (H 27 cm) ist perfekt proportioniert für Nachttischleuchten, enge Flure und Wände unter 2,4 m. An einem Kopfteil zu zweit montiert, bieten zwei kleine Leuchten gute Nachttischausleuchtung, ohne die Wand zu überfordern. Die große Version (H 38 cm) hat mehr Präsenz — ideal für Akzentwände im Wohnzimmer, Hauptschlafzimmer mit höheren Decken und Installationen, wo die Leuchte aus größerer Entfernung wirken soll. Beide haben die gleiche 10 cm Wandausladung, die Deckenhöhe ist daher kein unterscheidender Faktor zwischen den beiden Versionen.
Welches Leuchtmittel sollte ich verwenden — und warum ist Spannung wichtig? +
Diese Leuchte hat eine G9-Fassung bei AC 110V Netzspannung — nicht das 12V-Niedervolt-G9-System, das in europäischen Track- und Einbauleuchten üblich ist. Beim Kauf von Leuchtmitteln müssen Sie gezielt nach G9 AC 110V LED-Kapseln suchen — ein 12V-G9-Leuchtmittel wird in dieser Leuchte sofort ausfallen. Für den Alabasterschirm funktioniert eine 2–4W G9 LED bei 2700–3000K Warmweiß am besten: Warmweiß bringt den natürlichen Cremeton des Steins zur Geltung und erzeugt durch den Alabaster ein wärmeres, schmeichelhafteres Licht als kaltweißes Licht.
Können zwei Leuchten seitlich an einem Kopfteil montiert werden? +
Ja — Bernina ist sowohl für symmetrische Paarung als auch für einzelne Installation entworfen. Bei einem Standardkopfteil (150–180 cm breit) bieten zwei kleine Leuchten, je 50–60 cm von der Mitte entfernt, konzentriertes Nachttischlicht mit angemessenem visuellem Gewicht. Bei einem breiterem oder höherem Kopfteil (200 cm+) schafft die große Version bessere visuelle Proportionen. Beide Größen sind festverdrahtet — planen Sie die Kabelwege vor der Installation, die Position des Baldachins bestimmt die endgültige Leuchtenposition exakt.

We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.
Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.
Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.
Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.
Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.

Each is available in seventeen numbered finishes from the Radilum Finishes Library: brass, bronze, iron, steel, nickel, and chrome characters, hand-applied and sealed, or a custom patina grown to match a sample you send us.

Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
- 01Never lift by the power cord.The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
- 02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
- 03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
