Wrought Iron Crown · Clear Tear-Drop Crystal · Antiqued Patina
A chandelier that shimmers like icicles in the sun — the Fotini suspends layers of clear tear-drop crystals from a curved wrought-iron crown, each prism catching light and scattering it across the room. Topped with a hand-finished antique silver-clay or antique gold patina, it brings refined sparkle to dining tables, foyers, and bedrooms in two scales.

Before You Order — Two Important Notes
Crystal assembly is part of the experience. The chandelier ships with all crystals individually bagged for safe transit. You will hand-attach each crystal using the included small jump rings (similar to tiny keychain rings). Assembly typically takes several hours — please plan time accordingly. Many owners enjoy this final step; the chandelier becomes meaningfully theirs.
Crystal rings — gold by default, silver on request. The Fotini ships with gold-tone jump rings as standard. If you prefer silver-tone rings (for example, to match the Antique Silver finish), please contact us before placing your order so we can arrange the alternative.

Installation
- Hardwired ceiling installation — a licensed electrician is recommended.
- All mounting hardware and a 100 cm / 39.4″ hanging chain are included. Chain length is adjustable on-site.
- Crystals are bagged separately for safe transit — set aside several hours to attach them with the included jump rings before installation. We recommend doing this at a clean table-top with the chandelier on its side, before mounting to the ceiling.
- Confirm the bulb size matches your chosen chandelier: Small uses E27 × 1, Large uses E12 × 3. Buy bulbs accordingly.
- For dining rooms, hang the bottom of the fixture 75–85 cm (30–34″) above the table surface.
FAQ
Why does the chandelier require assembly? +
Crystal chandeliers are extremely fragile when fully assembled — shipping them pre-attached almost guarantees damage. By packing each crystal individually and including the jump rings, we ensure your chandelier arrives in perfect condition. The trade-off is that you'll spend a few hours hand-attaching the crystals before installation. Many owners find this final step rewarding — your chandelier becomes meaningfully your own.
How long does crystal assembly really take? +
For the Small size, expect roughly 2–3 hours of focused work. For the Large size, expect 4–6 hours — there are significantly more crystals to attach. We recommend doing it at a clean table-top, with bright light, and breaking it into two sessions if needed. Don't rush: each ring needs to close fully so the crystal hangs securely.
I want silver crystal rings instead of gold — how do I order? +
Contact us before placing your order. Send a message via our contact form or email — let us know you'd like silver-tone rings, and we'll confirm availability before you check out. We do not offer the option directly at checkout, so this step must happen first. Otherwise, gold-tone rings will be included by default.
Which size should I choose, and what bulbs do I need? +
Small (∅ 27 cm) uses one E27 bulb — best for entryways, breakfast nooks, small bedrooms, or above bedside tables (paired). Large (∅ 53 cm) uses three E12 candelabra bulbs — best for full dining tables, formal entries, or larger living areas. Note: these bulbs are different sizes — make sure you buy the right base for the size you choose.
Are the crystals real cut crystal or acrylic? +
The shades are real cut crystal — clear, faceted, and weighted. They refract light with the optical clarity and prismatic sparkle that acrylic substitutes cannot reproduce. Each tear-drop is hand-faceted, so subtle differences in cut and clarity between crystals are normal.
What does "antique silver clay" finish mean? +
It's a hand-applied finish that gives the wrought iron a slightly weathered, soft-silver patina — not a high-gloss chrome look. The result reads more elegant and aged, suitable for traditional, transitional, and even some modern interiors. Antique Gold has the same hand-finished character in a warm-gold tone.
Is it dimmable? +
Yes — paired with dimmable LED bulbs (E27 or E12 depending on size) and a TRIAC-compatible wall dimmer (e.g. Lutron Skylark, Leviton Decora), the Fotini dims smoothly. Dimmed crystal light is particularly atmospheric — many owners install on a dimmer for this exact reason.
How do I clean the crystals? +
Switch off the wall power and let the bulbs cool. For light dust, use a soft microfibre cloth or a clean feather duster. For deeper cleaning, gently wipe each crystal with a soft cloth lightly dampened with a 50/50 water-and-isopropyl-alcohol mix — this evaporates cleanly with no residue. Avoid commercial glass sprays directly on the crystals (overspray can affect the iron finish).
What if a crystal breaks or arrives damaged? +
Individual crystals can be replaced. If any crystal is damaged in transit or use, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and your SKU — we'll arrange a replacement crystal promptly.

The crystal story
Cut to catch the light
Faceted crystal is cut and polished piece by piece, then hung so each drop throws light in a different direction — the sparkle you see is hundreds of small reflections moving together. Frames are brass or iron in any of our finishes.
Every room has a soul piece. This is where it hangs.
Some lights fill a room; a very few define it. An American crystal chandelier is the second kind — the fixture guests look up at first, the one the whole space quietly arranges itself around.
Not your grandmother's chandelier — iron nerve, crystal grace.
French crystal whispers, traditional European crystal parades. American crystal does something else: it pairs a strong, honest metal frame with just enough sparkle — tailored, modern, and easy to live with.
A frame with a backbone.
Aged bronze and matte black — finishes borrowed from workshop and farmhouse, not from a palace. The metal draws clean, confident lines that keep the whole piece grounded and architectural.
Sparkle, rationed.
Crystal used the way a tailor uses a pocket square — a deliberate few, perfectly placed. Where European chandeliers drip with it, the American cut lets a handful of clean facets carry the whole effect.
The right size is a formula, not a gamble.
The #1 crystal-chandelier regret is scale — too big crowds the ceiling, too small gets lost. Use these designer rules of thumb and you can't miss.
The grand gesture. A tiered or cascading chandelier centered in the entry — visible from the door, the stairs, and the street after dark.
Where crystal earns its keep nightly — a linear piece over a long table or island, a round one over a round table, sparkling above every dinner.
The unexpected luxury. A compact or semi-flush crystal piece turns a bedroom ceiling — or a walk-in closet — into a small daily indulgence.
Three worries, retired.
Every crystal buyer arrives with the same three fears. Here they are — each answered in one breath.
It travels suspended in molded foam, every strand bagged — and if the carrier wins anyway, we replace damaged parts free.
A load-bearing canopy and complete hardware come in the box. Anchored to a joist or braced electrical box, it's up for decades.
A static duster keeps the sparkle; once a year, a mist of no-rinse crystal cleaner drips it back to brand-new. No disassembly, ever.
How it travels — every strand bagged, every arm cradled, nothing touching the box.
One fixture. The whole room, decided.
Brass-framed, crystal-dressed, and sized for everything from a walk-in closet to a two-story foyer. Find the one your ceiling has been waiting for — and if you're torn between two sizes, send us your room dimensions and we'll help you choose.
Sizing a chandelier
Add the room’s length and width in feet — that number in inches is a comfortable diameter. Then check the ceiling can carry the weight.
