Choosing a table or floor lamp

A lamp is sized to the surface and the seat next to it, not to the room.

BedsideShade bottom at eye level when you sit up — usually 24–27″ above the mattress; lamp height about ⅔ of the nightstand height plus the stand.

The stacked shape is what makes this lamp so interesting. It looks a little playful, but still feels neat and balanced.

Such a fun-looking floor lamp. The mix of round and angular pieces makes it different from anything else I have.

Different, easy to use, and very nice when all the lights are glowing.

We placed the red one in a corner of our living room, and it adds just the right amount of color.

The black finish looks clean and smooth, and the white globes stand out nicely against it. The contrast is what I like most.

Ours sits near a chair in the reading area. It gives off enough light to make the corner feel cozy without shining directly in your eyes.
