Candelabra Chandelier · Cast Brass · Candle Effect · 4 Configurations · E12 / E14

8 Heads
6 Heads

The Winchester is a brass candelabra chandelier with a candle-effect design — the arms terminate in upright candle-tube sockets rather than shades, so the bare brass metalwork and the flame-tip bulbs are the full visual statement. Cast in brass throughout, the arms curve outward from the central column in the classical chandelier form, the warm metal finish reading as period-appropriate and richly decorative. With no shades or diffusers, the fixture relies entirely on the interplay of brass and candle-effect bulbs for its character.

Four configurations scale from a compact 3-head at ∅ 45 cm to a grand 10-head at ∅ 100 cm, all sharing the same 50 cm hanging chain. As head count and diameter increase, the fixture moves from an intimate accent to a full architectural statement suited to grand foyers and formal dining rooms.

All configurations: cast brass · 50 cm / 19.7″ hanging chain.

Configuration Diameter Height Best For

6 Heads 65 cm∅ 25.6″ 48 cm18.9″ Standard dining rooms · Living rooms
8 Heads 85 cm∅ 33.5″ 53 cm20.9″ Grand dining rooms · Larger tables · Formal spaces
10 Heads 100 cm∅ 39.4″ 53 cm20.9″ Grand foyers · Double-height spaces · Statement installations

Bulbs are not included. Each arm uses one E12 (US) or E14 (international) candelabra socket. For a candle-effect chandelier, the bulb choice defines the result: a flame-tip LED E12/E14 candelabra bulb at 2200–2700K amber warm white is the most period-authentic option — the tapered flame-tip shape reads as a real candle above each brass candle tube. Clear-glass filament bulbs at 2200K amber are an excellent alternative, particularly when dimmed. Avoid frosted or opal bulbs which conceal the candle-effect form.

Which configuration suits my space? +

Match the diameter to the space: the 3-head (∅ 45 cm) suits bedrooms, entryways, and small dining tables up to 100 cm. The 6-head (∅ 65 cm) is the most versatile for standard dining rooms and living rooms — it covers a 140–160 cm dining table well. The 8-head (∅ 85 cm) suits grand dining rooms and larger tables (180–200 cm). The 10-head (∅ 100 cm) is the statement version — suited to grand foyers, double-height spaces, and the largest formal rooms. A general rule: the chandelier diameter should be roughly half to two-thirds the width of the table below it.

What is a “candle effect” chandelier? +

A candle-effect chandelier has upright candle-tube sockets at the end of each arm, designed to hold flame-tip bulbs that mimic real candles — there are no shades or glass diffusers. This is the most traditional chandelier form, referencing the original candle chandeliers these fixtures evolved from. The visual effect depends heavily on the bulb: a flame-tip amber LED completes the candle illusion, while a plain bulb undermines it. For the most authentic result, always use flame-tip candelabra bulbs with this fixture.

What bulb gives the best candle effect? +

A flame-tip E12/E14 LED candelabra bulb at 2200–2700K amber warm white. The tapered flame-shaped tip sits above each brass candle tube exactly as a real taper candle would, and the amber colour temperature produces a warmth closest to candlelight. Clear-glass filament bulbs (visible spiral filament, amber glass) are the second-best option — the visible filament adds animation at low brightness. Avoid frosted, opal, or globe-shaped bulbs, which conceal the candle-tip form and undermine the candle effect entirely.

Is it dimmable? +

Yes, when fitted with dimmable E12/E14 LED candelabra bulbs and a compatible TRIAC wall dimmer switch (both sold separately). Specify “dimmable” when purchasing bulbs and confirm your dimmer is rated for the total LED wattage across all arms. For a candle-effect chandelier, dimming to 20–40% produces the most authentic candlelit result — at low brightness the warm-amber flame-tip bulbs produce a genuinely intimate quality of light, and the brass arms catch the reduced output as a series of warm highlights.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting

When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.

Kitchen

Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.

Dining Room

For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.

Bedroom

If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
