"Literally better than my $2,700 Pottery Barn fixture."
OBSESSED with my pendants. I couldn't believe these true pure alabaster pendants were this low of cost — I was expecting a dupe. Nope, they are literally better than my $2,700 Pottery Barn alabaster fixture, and these pendants have way more alabaster on them. These are a STEAL. They emit the most perfect diffused glow — glowy and warm. I love these pendants so much.

Integrated LED. This pendant uses a built-in warm-white LED — no bulb is required, and none can be replaced by the user. For dimming, pair with a TRIAC-compatible wall dimmer. Each alabaster shade is cut from natural stone, so veining and pattern will vary subtly from the product photos — this is part of the material's inherent beauty, not a defect.
Installation
- Hardwired ceiling installation — a licensed electrician is recommended.
- Fits a standard ceiling electrical box. All mounting hardware is included.
- The 19.7″ suspension rod can be shortened on site by a qualified electrician to suit lower ceilings.
- Dimmable when paired with a TRIAC-compatible dimmer switch (e.g. Lutron Skylark, Leviton Decora).
FAQ
Why does each pendant look different from the photos? +
Alabaster is a natural stone, and no two blocks share the same veining, texture, or translucency. Our photos represent a typical example — your pendant will have its own unique pattern, which is part of the material's inherent beauty.
Is the LED replaceable? +
The LED module is integrated and not user-replaceable. It is rated for very long life under normal use (typically 25,000+ hours). If replacement ever becomes necessary, it should be handled by a qualified electrician.
Is the pendant dimmable? +
Yes. Pair it with a TRIAC-compatible wall dimmer (e.g. Lutron Skylark, Leviton Decora) to adjust brightness. With a standard switch, it operates at full brightness.
What colour is the LED light? +
Warm white, approximately 2700 K. This temperature brings out the natural warmth of the alabaster and produces a soft, golden glow — ideal for dining areas and living spaces.
Can I cluster multiple pendants together? +
Yes — the pendant looks striking clustered at varied heights over a dining table, kitchen island, or stairwell. You can mix sizes and finishes for a layered look. Each pendant requires its own ceiling junction box.
Can the suspension rod be shortened? +
The 19.7″ (50 cm) rod can typically be shortened on site by a qualified electrician to suit lower ceilings. Installation instructions for the rod are included.
How do I care for the alabaster shade? +
Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasive cleaners — alabaster is softer than marble and can absorb liquid or etch. The stone does not require waxing or re-sealing.

The alabaster story
Quarried in Spain, glowing from within
Spanish alabaster is a soft, translucent stone. Cut into shades a few millimetres thick, it turns an LED into a warm, even glow with the veining floating inside. Each shade is cut from its own block, so tone and pattern differ slightly from piece to piece — that is the material, not a fault.
Sculpted by earth,
softened by light.
Rare natural alabaster, hand-carved by master artisans and illuminated from within. Every piece is unrepeatable — a singular convergence of geology and craft.
"Alabaster does not merely hold light — it breathes with it, casting a warmth that cannot be manufactured, only discovered."
Formed through millions of years of slow crystallisation, alabaster is among the world's most ancient decorative stones. When illuminated, it yields a quiet, golden luminosity — gentle, organic, irreducibly human. Our collection exists to honour that rarity, designing forms that allow the stone to speak without interruption.
No two stones
are ever alike.
Alabaster carries within it a geological autobiography — millions of years compressed into veining, crystalline structures, and tonal shifts that no craftsman could plan or replicate. Five expressive patterns emerge most consistently in our collection.

Pure
Clear SurfaceA near-uniform honey surface with barely perceptible variation — the rarest and most meditative expression of the stone.

Ink Marbling
Flowing VeinsSoft, fluid grey veining reminiscent of East Asian ink painting — atmospheric, unhurried, deeply contemplative.

Lightning Veins
Sharp BranchingBold, branching mineral lines that fracture the surface with dramatic precision — striking from any angle and in any light.

Ice Crack
Angular FracturesGeometric fissures suspended within the stone — sculptural formations that diffuse and scatter light with quiet drama.

Snowflake
Crystalline FlecksSuspended constellations of lighter crystalline matter — a delicate drift across the surface that catches light from within.
Natural Variance Is Not a Defect
Because alabaster is a living natural stone, every piece carries its own unique veining and tonal variation — a quality we celebrate rather than suppress. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. If you prefer a perfectly uniform finish, this collection may not align with your expectations — and we kindly invite you to consider this before placing your order.
One material,
every room in the home.
From the grandeur of a double-height chandelier to the intimate glow of a bedside lamp — alabaster scales with intention, adapting to every room's rhythm without sacrificing presence.
Five stages of
quiet craftsmanship.
Every alabaster lamp begins as raw stone and arrives in your hands only after passing through a sequence of precise, unhurried steps — performed by artisans who know how to listen to the material before they shape it.

Material Selection
Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.

Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.

Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.

Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.

Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.
Seventeen finishes for the
metal that holds the stone.
Every alabaster fixture is completed by its metalwork — the canopy, stem, arms, and fittings that carry the stone and frame its glow. Each is available in seventeen numbered finishes from the Radilum Finishes Library: brass, bronze, iron, steel, nickel, and chrome characters, hand-applied and sealed, or a custom patina grown to match a sample you send us.

Finishes 01–17 · brass, bronze, iron, steel, nickel, chrome, black · custom patinas matched on request
Order by number, not by name. "Antique brass," "aged brass," "burnished brass" — ask five workshops what those mean and five different metals come back. Finish 04 is the same physical sample in our studio, on the atelier bench, and on your packing list.
And because no screen renders metal honestly, we ship the physical panels before anything is committed. Hold them against your alabaster's veining, your cabinetry and wall paint, at the hour you actually use the room — then send the number.
To own an alabaster lamp is to welcome a piece of natural sculpture into your home — shaped by the earth over millennia, refined by artisans over weeks, and completed only in the moment it is illuminated.
Radilum Design Studio

Treat it as the
rare object it is.
Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
-
01Never lift by the power cord. The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
-
02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
-
03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.
See it in motion.
