Installation
- Licensed electrician required. Hardwired semi-flush ceiling mount via supplied canopy plate to a standard junction box.
- Specialist installer recommended — frosted-glass rose shades are press-formed and individually attached; handle with care during un-crating, lift only by the brass arms.
- Confirm ceiling support: cast brass with multiple glass shades typically weighs 12–18 kg (26–40 lbs) — at the upper edge of standard junction-box rating; code-rated fixture brace recommended.
- Optimal ceiling height 8–10 ft. The semi-flush silhouette is designed to keep the lower edge clear of head height in standard residential ceilings without a chain drop.
- Bulbs supplied by installer. Clear candle LEDs at 2700K — 6 candelabra sockets in the rose shades plus 1 inside the central etched medallion (7 total).
- Care: dust the brass and glass with a soft dry cloth. Do not use ammonia, vinegar, or commercial brass polish on the chased finish — these dull the period gilt patina.

Why a semi-flush mount instead of a chain pendant? +
Semi-flush fixtures are designed for ceilings 8–10 ft tall — a chain pendant of this scale would either crowd head height or read awkwardly close to the ceiling. The semi-flush silhouette mounts close to the ceiling and projects downward in a compact 19.7″ profile, ideal for foyers, dining rooms, and seating areas in standard American residential ceiling heights. For higher ceilings (11 ft+) where you want a chain drop, contact us before ordering for a custom chain configuration.
What size dining room or foyer does it suit? +
The Ø 30.7″ frame suits dining tables 48–66″ long for round or square dining-room placement, and primary entry foyers up to roughly 12 ft × 12 ft floor area. For breakfast nooks and seating areas, the fixture works as a centered ceiling focal point. For tables larger than 66″ or foyers larger than 12 × 12 ft, choose a larger-scale chandelier with chain drop instead.
How heavy is it and what ceiling support do I need? +
Cast brass with multiple glass shades typically weighs 12–18 kg (26–40 lbs) assembled — at the upper edge of standard residential junction-box rating (≈ 25 kg / 55 lbs). Your electrician should install a code-rated fixture brace or anchor to a structural joist for long-term reliability. Contact us for confirmed shipping weight before installation.
What bulbs should I use? +
7 candelabra-base candle bulbs total — 6 inside the outer rose shades, plus 1 inside the central etched medallion. Supplied by your installer. We recommend clear-envelope candle LEDs at 2700K warm white, ≤ 25W incandescent-equivalent. Clear glass reads best inside the frosted rose shades — the rose shades themselves diffuse light, so frosted bulbs are not needed and double-frosting flattens the glow.
Is it dimmable? Lutron-compatible? +
Standard wiring is non-dimming. TRIAC-dimmable wiring is available as a custom build — please specify when contacting us. Compatible with Lutron Caséta, Diva, and forward-phase wall dimmers when paired with dimmable LED candelabra bulbs.
