Installation
- Hardwired ceiling installation — a licensed electrician is recommended.
- Fits a standard round ceiling junction box. All mounting hardware is included.
- Chain length is adjustable — remove links to shorten the drop to your preferred height.
- Best for ceilings 2.4 m (8 ft) and taller. With full chain, overall drop is ~140 cm / 55.1″.
- Suitable for indoor dry and damp locations. Not rated for wet/shower zones or exterior use.
FAQ
Which bulbs do you recommend? +
Three E12 or E14 candelabra-base LED bulbs in warm white (2700K), 3–4W each (roughly 40W incandescent equivalent). Flame-tip or torpedo-shape bulbs echo the baroque character; frosted versions soften the light for dining and living spaces.
Is this fixture dimmable? +
The fixture itself is compatible with dimming. To dim it, pair dimmable E12/E14 LED bulbs with a TRIAC-compatible dimmer switch (e.g. Lutron, Leviton Decora). Standard non-dimmable bulbs will run at full brightness only.
Can I shorten the chain? +
Yes. The 39.4″ chain is composed of individual links that your electrician can remove during installation to set the drop precisely for your ceiling height. The wiring inside the chain is also shortened to match.
What ceiling height does it suit? +
With full chain extended, the fixture hangs roughly 140 cm / 55″ below the ceiling, so it works best with ceilings 2.4 m (8 ft) or taller. For lower ceilings, simply remove chain links to raise the fixture. Over dining tables, aim for 75–90 cm between the tabletop and the bottom of the fixture.
Can I install it on a sloped ceiling? +
Yes — because the fixture hangs from a flexible chain, it naturally aligns itself vertically regardless of ceiling angle. Ensure the junction box and canopy are rated and oriented correctly for the slope.
How do I clean the bird and leaf detailing? +
Dust gently with a soft dry brush or microfiber cloth — the detailing has intricate recesses that trap dust. Avoid liquid cleaners on gold foil surfaces, as moisture can dull the finish. For bronze, a slightly damp cloth followed by thorough drying is fine.

Cast, chased and finished by hand
Our brass and iron fixtures are cast, chased and finished in our own workshop — gold-leafed, bronzed or lacquered by hand, which is why no two carry exactly the same glow. Colour is grown in the finishing bath rather than sprayed on, then sealed to age gracefully. Choose a finish above, or ask for any other metal finish from the Finishes Library.
