The workshops of the early twentieth century were the most honest classrooms industrial design ever had. We take our sense of order from the Bauhaus, our raw material from the foundries of Manchester, and apply contemporary proportion so the result belongs in rooms that reward close attention.

We mounted this beside the bed, and the two shades give off a comfortable amount of light without taking up any nightstand space.
I like how the two dark shades sit above and below the brass center.
The walnut-colored backplate has a rich, warm tone, and the wood grain is easy to see up close.
Ours is in the hallway, where the narrow vertical shape fits the wall really well.
We used a pair on either side of a living room picture, and the warm backlighting makes the whole arrangement feel more finished.
The glow is really nice and warm. Way nicer than the price honestly.
