A 16-light two-tier ring chandelier in the medieval European cathedral-and-great-hall vocabulary — twin hand-forged iron rings stacked in a pyramidal frame, with arched cross-bracing carrying sixteen open candle arms in two graduated tiers. The arms terminate in brass bobeches and exposed E12 sockets so the candle bulbs read as the working light source rather than concealed engineering.

Hand-forged iron — every fixture is unique. Forging marks, weld geometry at the joints, and patina depth vary subtly piece to piece. Your chandelier will sit within the same visual language as the photographs but will not be identical at the detail level — this is the character of hand-forged ironwork.
Reinforced support required. Estate-scale 16-light iron chandelier — exceeds standard junction-box load. Your electrician must install a code-rated heavy-duty brace or anchor to a structural joist. For double-height or cathedral ceilings, structural-engineer review is recommended.

Installation
- Licensed electrician required. Hardwired ceiling pendant via supplied canopy plate and chain.
- Specialist installer recommended — hand-forged iron rings are rigid but heavy; un-crate with two people, lifting only by the upper ring.
- Confirm ceiling support: 16-light iron exceeds standard junction-box rating — code-rated fixture brace or joist anchor required; structural review recommended for cathedral or two-story ceilings.
- Hang the lower tier 30–34″ above the dining table, or 7 ft+ above the floor in foyer walking zones.
- Bulbs supplied by installer. Clear candle LEDs at 2700K — clear envelope reads best with exposed brass bobeches.

What size dining table or room does it suit? +
The Ø 50″ frame suits dining tables 84–120″ long — typical of seating for 10 to 14, including most banquet and conference tables in private dining and hospitality use. For foyer use, the fixture suits two-story entries with 16 ft+ ceilings and double-height great rooms with 14 ft+ ceilings; it overpowers single-story rooms under 11 ft. Hang the lower tier 30–34″ above the dining table top.
How heavy is it and what ceiling support do I need? +
Estate-scale hand-forged iron at this scale typically weighs 35–55 kg (75–120 lbs) assembled — well above standard residential junction-box rating. Your electrician must install a certified heavy-duty fixture brace or anchor to a structural joist. For double-height or cathedral ceilings, your electrician and structural engineer should confirm support before installation. Contact us for confirmed shipping weight before structural review.
Will my fixture match the photographs? +
The form, scale, and arm count are made to consistent specification — your fixture will read identically in silhouette. The hand-forged ironwork carries individual variation in forge marks, weld geometry, and patina depth. The chandelier you receive will sit within the same visual language as the photographs but will be visibly distinct under close inspection — the character of hand-forged iron, not a flaw.
What bulbs should I use? +
16 candelabra-base candle bulbs, supplied by your installer. We recommend clear-envelope candle LEDs at 2700K warm white, ≤ 25W incandescent-equivalent. Clear glass reads best with the exposed brass bobeches and open arm geometry — frosted bulbs flatten the period-correct look and are not recommended. For period-faithful candle-flame effect, dimmable LED candelabra bulbs with flickering filament profile are widely available from US specialty bulb retailers.
Is it dimmable? Lutron-compatible? +
Standard wiring is non-dimming. TRIAC-dimmable wiring is available as a custom build — please specify when contacting us before ordering. Compatible with Lutron Caséta, Diva, and forward-phase wall dimmers when paired with dimmable LED candelabra bulbs. For RadioRA 3, HomeWorks QSX, or 0–10V systems, specify the protocol on order.

Cast, chased and finished by hand
Our brass and iron fixtures are cast, chased and finished in our own workshop — gold-leafed, bronzed or lacquered by hand, which is why no two carry exactly the same glow. Colour is grown in the finishing bath rather than sprayed on, then sealed to age gracefully. Choose a finish above, or ask for any other metal finish from the Finishes Library.
