Hand-Cut Alabaster Cubes · Black Brass Armature · Modular Architectural Chandelier

A modular cube chandelier in a contemporary architectural minimalist vocabulary — hand-cut alabaster cubes suspended on a slim black brass armature, lit from within by concealed G9 sockets so the natural veining of every cube reads luminous against the room. The fixture's geometric clarity reads as architecture more than as ornament.

Drawn from the modern architectural lighting tradition of natural-stone block fixtures. Suited to dining tables, kitchen islands, primary entry foyers, primary-suite seating areas, and great-room interiors in 5,000+ sq ft estates and luxury hotels — for design-led clients drawn to the modern alabaster vocabulary in transitional, neoclassical, and minimalist interiors. Available in four configurations from a 4-light linear bar to a 9-light grand square cluster.

Materials & Craft

Hand-Cut Alabaster Cubes

Each cube hand-cut from solid alabaster. Veining and translucency unique to every block — every fixture is one of one.

Black Brass Armature

Matte black powder-coated brass armature with brass detail accents at junction points — period-correct contemporary geometry.

Concealed G9 Backlight

G9 sockets concealed inside each alabaster cube, lighting the stone from within rather than from above.

Choose Your Configuration

4-Light Linear

L 39.4″ × W 4.7″ × H 13.8″

L 100 × W 12 × H 35 cm — for kitchen islands and long dining tables (60–84″)

6-Light Square

L 31.5″ × W 31.5″ × H 17.7″

L 80 × W 80 × H 45 cm — for square dining tables 48–66″ and primary foyers

8-Light Square

L 36.6″ × W 36.6″ × H 17.7″

L 93 × W 93 × H 45 cm — for square tables 60–80″ and large foyers

9-Light Grand Square

L 41.3″ × W 41.3″ × H 17.7″

L 105 × W 105 × H 45 cm — for square dining tables 72–96″ and two-story foyers

All configurations include 59″ / 150 cm hanging wire — adjustable on site.

Please Note — Natural Stone Variation

Hand-cut alabaster — every fixture is unique. Veining, translucency, and tone vary cube to cube; your fixture will not match the photos at the stone level.

Reinforced ceiling support recommended. 6/8/9-light configurations exceed standard junction-box load — your electrician should anchor to a joist or use a UL-listed fixture brace.

Installation

  • Licensed electrician required. Hardwired ceiling pendant via supplied canopy plate and wires.
  • Specialist installer recommended — alabaster is a soft mineral; handle the cubes with care during un-crating, lift only by the brass armature.
  • Confirm ceiling support — for the 6, 8, and 9-light configurations, install a UL-listed fixture brace or anchor to a structural joist before mounting.
  • Hang the lower edge 30–34″ above the dining table or kitchen island, or 7 ft+ above the floor in walking zones.
  • Bulbs supplied by installer. G9 LED at 2700K — confirm correct G9 voltage for your region (US 110–120V or international 220–240V) before installing bulbs.
  • Care: dust the alabaster with a soft dry cloth only. Alabaster is porous — do not use water, glass cleaner, or any liquid.

FAQ

Which configuration should I choose? +

The 4-light linear (L 39.4″) suits long kitchen islands and rectangular dining tables 60–84″ — the linear silhouette runs parallel to the table. The 6-light square (31.5″ sq) suits square dining tables 48–66″ and standard primary foyers. The 8-light square (36.6″ sq) suits square tables 60–80″ and large foyers. The 9-light grand square (41.3″ sq) is built for square dining tables 72–96″ and two-story foyer entries. Hang the lower edge 30–34″ above the table or island top.

What bulbs does it take? +

The fixture takes G9 bi-pin LED bulbs concealed inside each alabaster cube — count depends on configuration (4, 6, 8, or 9). We recommend G9 LED at 2700K warm white, ≤ 4W per bulb, with a clear or warm-tinted envelope that reads best through the alabaster. Confirm correct G9 voltage for your region — US installations need 110–120V G9; international markets need 220–240V G9. The wrong-voltage bulb will not work.

Will my fixture match the photographs? +

The brass armature and silhouette are made to consistent specification. The alabaster cubes, however, are hand-cut from natural blocks: veining patterns, exact tone, and translucency differ between every cube. The fixture you receive will sit within the same visual language as the photographs but will be visibly distinct at the stone level — the character of natural alabaster.

Is it dimmable? Lutron-compatible? +

Standard wiring is non-dimming. TRIAC-dimmable wiring is available as a custom build — please specify when contacting us. Compatible with Lutron Caséta, Diva, and forward-phase wall dimmers when paired with dimmable G9 LED bulbs.

How heavy is it and what ceiling support do I need? +

The 4-light linear is light enough for standard junction-box installation. The 6, 8, and 9-light square configurations are heavier and approach or exceed standard junction-box rating (≈ 25 kg / 55 lbs); your electrician should install a UL-listed heavy-duty fixture brace or anchor to a structural joist for these. Contact us for confirmed shipping weight before installation.

How do I clean the alabaster? Custom & trade? +

Dust with a soft dry microfiber cloth only. Do not use water, glass cleaner, ammonia, vinegar, or any liquid cleaner — alabaster is porous and water will discolor or stain. Custom builds: alternative armature finishes (polished brass, antique brass, blackened bronze) and longer wire drops available on request. Hospitality-grade construction suits luxury hotel suites and contemporary residential projects in 5,000+ sq ft estates. Contact our trade desk for project-quantity coordination.

The Alabaster Collection · 2026
Chapter I · Natural Stone

Sculpted by earth,
softened by light.

Rare natural alabaster, hand-carved by master artisans and illuminated from within. Every piece is unrepeatable — a singular convergence of geology and craft.

One-of-a-KindUnique Veining
A Story in Stone

"Alabaster does not merely hold light — it breathes with it, casting a warmth that cannot be manufactured, only discovered."

Formed through millions of years of slow crystallisation, alabaster is among the world's most ancient decorative stones. When illuminated, it yields a quiet, golden luminosity — gentle, organic, irreducibly human. Our collection exists to honour that rarity, designing forms that allow the stone to speak without interruption.

Natural Character

No two stones
are ever alike.

Alabaster carries within it a geological autobiography — millions of years compressed into veining, crystalline structures, and tonal shifts that no craftsman could plan or replicate. Five expressive patterns emerge most consistently in our collection.

Pure

Pure

Clear Surface

A near-uniform honey surface with barely perceptible variation — the rarest and most meditative expression of the stone.

Ink Marbling

Ink Marbling

Flowing Veins

Soft, fluid grey veining reminiscent of East Asian ink painting — atmospheric, unhurried, deeply contemplative.

Lightning Veins

Lightning Veins

Sharp Branching

Bold, branching mineral lines that fracture the surface with dramatic precision — striking from any angle and in any light.

Ice Crack

Ice Crack

Angular Fractures

Geometric fissures suspended within the stone — sculptural formations that diffuse and scatter light with quiet drama.

Snowflake

Snowflake

Crystalline Flecks

Suspended constellations of lighter crystalline matter — a delicate drift across the surface that catches light from within.

!

Natural Variance Is Not a Defect

Because alabaster is a living natural stone, every piece carries its own unique veining and tonal variation — a quality we celebrate rather than suppress. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. If you prefer a perfectly uniform finish, this collection may not align with your expectations — and we kindly invite you to consider this before placing your order.

For Every Space

One material,
every room in the home.

From the grandeur of a double-height chandelier to the intimate glow of a bedside lamp — alabaster scales with intention, adapting to every room's rhythm without sacrificing presence.

From Quarry to Creation

Five stages of
quiet craftsmanship.

Every alabaster lamp begins as raw stone and arrives in your hands only after passing through a sequence of precise, unhurried steps — performed by artisans who know how to listen to the material before they shape it.

Selection
Selection

Material Selection

Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.

Cutting
Cutting

Precision Cutting

Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.

Shaping
Shaping

Sculpting

Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.

Polishing
Polishing

Hand Polishing

Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.

Assembly
Assembly

Final Assembly

LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.

To own an alabaster lamp is to welcome a piece of natural sculpture into your home — shaped by the earth over millennia, refined by artisans over weeks, and completed only in the moment it is illuminated.

Care
Important · Handling & Installation

Treat it as the
rare object it is.

Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.

  • 01
Never lift by the power cord. The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
  • 02
Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
  • 03
Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.
