Hand-Cut Alabaster Petals · Brass Armature · Three-Tier Pendant
A three-tier alabaster chandelier in a sculptural neoclassical vocabulary — overlapping hand-cut alabaster petals arranged in graduated tiers around a polished brass armature, descending from a brass canopy bell. Each petal is cut from solid alabaster with the natural rough edge preserved at the outer rim and the smooth face turned inward, lit from above so the natural cream-and-amber veining reads luminous through every petal.
Hand-cut alabaster panels and a chased brass armature; veining, edge profile, and translucency vary panel to panel. Suited to formal dining rooms, primary entry foyers, two-story foyers, primary-suite seating areas, and great-room interiors in 5,000+ sq ft estates and luxury hotels — for design-led clients drawn to the sculptural alabaster pendant vocabulary in transitional and neoclassical interiors.
Why This Fixture
Hand-Cut Solid Alabaster
Each petal cut from a solid alabaster block with the natural rough edge preserved at the outer rim. Veining and translucency are unique to every petal.
Three-Tier Composition
Graduated tiers of overlapping petals around a polished brass armature — reads as a single sculptural form rather than discrete pieces.
Polished Brass Armature
Chased and polished brass canopy, chain, and internal armature visible through the alabaster — period-correct metal for natural-stone lighting.
Finish
Polished Brass & White Alabaster
Hand-cut white alabaster with natural cream-and-amber veining; chased polished brass armature. Single standard finish — every fixture differs at the petal level.
Hand-cut alabaster — every piece is unique. Veining, edge profile, and translucency vary panel to panel; your fixture will not match the photos at the petal level.
Reinforced ceiling support recommended. Approx. 25–40 kg (55–90 lbs) assembled — your electrician should anchor to a joist or use a UL-listed fixture brace.

Installation
- Licensed electrician required. Hardwired ceiling pendant via supplied canopy plate and chain.
- Specialist installer recommended. Alabaster is a soft mineral — handle the petals with care during un-crating; lift only by the brass armature, never by individual petals.
- Hang the lower edge 30–34″ above the dining table, or 7 ft+ above the foyer floor in walking zones.
- Confirm ceiling support. 25–40 kg exceeds standard junction-box rating — UL-listed fixture brace or joist anchor required.
- Care: dust the alabaster with a soft dry cloth only. Do not use water, glass cleaner, or any liquid — alabaster is porous and will stain. For fingerprints use a dry chamois.

Frequently Asked
What size dining table or room does it suit? +
The Ø 31.5″ shade suits dining tables 60–82″ long — typical of seating for 6 to 10. Chandelier diameter should sit between half and two-thirds of dining-table width. For primary foyers, the fixture suits 9–12 ft ceilings; for taller foyers and two-story drops, longer chain is available on request. Hang the lower edge 30–34″ above the dining table top measured from the finished surface.
How heavy is it and what ceiling support do I need? +
Approximately 25–40 kg (55–90 lbs) assembled — at or above standard residential junction-box rating. Your electrician should install a UL-listed heavy-duty fixture brace or anchor to a structural joist before mounting. Contact us for confirmed shipping weight before installation if structural review is needed.
Will my fixture match the photographs? +
The brass armature and silhouette are made to consistent specification — your fixture will read identically in form. The alabaster, however, is hand-cut from natural blocks: veining patterns, exact petal edge profile, translucency, and minor mineral inclusions differ between every panel. The fixture you receive will sit within the same visual language as the photographs but will be visibly distinct at the veining level — the character of natural alabaster.
What bulbs should I use? +
E12 or E14 candelabra-base bulbs (US E12 is the standard), supplied by your installer. We recommend clear-envelope candle LEDs at 2700K, ≤ 25W incandescent-equivalent. Clear glass reads best through alabaster — frosted bulbs flatten the natural glow and are not recommended. Bulb count is confirmed on the spec sheet.
Is it dimmable? Lutron-compatible? +
Standard wiring is non-dimming. TRIAC-dimmable wiring is available as a custom build — please specify when contacting us. Compatible with Lutron Caséta, Diva, and forward-phase wall dimmers when paired with dimmable LED bulbs. See our dimming protocols guide.
How do I clean the alabaster? +
Dust with a soft dry microfiber cloth only. Do not use water, glass cleaner, ammonia, vinegar, or any liquid cleaner — alabaster is porous and water will discolor or stain the surface. For fingerprints use a dry chamois. Keep the fixture away from high-humidity rooms (steam-shower baths, immediately above stovetops) to preserve the stone over time.

Sculpted by earth,
softened by light.
Rare natural alabaster, hand-carved by master artisans and illuminated from within. Every piece is unrepeatable — a singular convergence of geology and craft.
"Alabaster does not merely hold light — it breathes with it, casting a warmth that cannot be manufactured, only discovered."
Formed through millions of years of slow crystallisation, alabaster is among the world's most ancient decorative stones. When illuminated, it yields a quiet, golden luminosity — gentle, organic, irreducibly human. Our collection exists to honour that rarity, designing forms that allow the stone to speak without interruption.
No two stones
are ever alike.
Alabaster carries within it a geological autobiography — millions of years compressed into veining, crystalline structures, and tonal shifts that no craftsman could plan or replicate. Five expressive patterns emerge most consistently in our collection.

Pure
Clear SurfaceA near-uniform honey surface with barely perceptible variation — the rarest and most meditative expression of the stone.

Ink Marbling
Flowing VeinsSoft, fluid grey veining reminiscent of East Asian ink painting — atmospheric, unhurried, deeply contemplative.

Lightning Veins
Sharp BranchingBold, branching mineral lines that fracture the surface with dramatic precision — striking from any angle and in any light.

Ice Crack
Angular FracturesGeometric fissures suspended within the stone — sculptural formations that diffuse and scatter light with quiet drama.

Snowflake
Crystalline FlecksSuspended constellations of lighter crystalline matter — a delicate drift across the surface that catches light from within.
Natural Variance Is Not a Defect
Because alabaster is a living natural stone, every piece carries its own unique veining and tonal variation — a quality we celebrate rather than suppress. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. If you prefer a perfectly uniform finish, this collection may not align with your expectations — and we kindly invite you to consider this before placing your order.
One material,
every room in the home.
From the grandeur of a double-height chandelier to the intimate glow of a bedside lamp — alabaster scales with intention, adapting to every room's rhythm without sacrificing presence.
Five stages of
quiet craftsmanship.
Every alabaster lamp begins as raw stone and arrives in your hands only after passing through a sequence of precise, unhurried steps — performed by artisans who know how to listen to the material before they shape it.

Material Selection
Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.

Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.

Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.

Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.

Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.
To own an alabaster lamp is to welcome a piece of natural sculpture into your home — shaped by the earth over millennia, refined by artisans over weeks, and completed only in the moment it is illuminated.
Radilum Design Studio

Treat it as the
rare object it is.
Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
- 01Never lift by the power cord. The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
- 02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
- 03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.
See it in motion.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
