Spanish Alabaster & Black Iron · Damp-Rated · Linear Pendant Lamp
A linear pendant in the language of contemporary American studio lighting — six oblong capsule-form panels suspended from a slim black rectangular canopy, alternating between hand-cut Spanish alabaster and matte black iron. Two pairs of small white globe lamps hang at the ends like satellites, lit from within while the alabaster panels glow softly when integrated LEDs illuminate from inside the capsules.
The composition is reductive and graphic: black iron lines, white stone panels, two glowing globes — a contemporary studio fixture for design-savvy interiors. Damp-rated means the fixture is suitable for indoor use and covered outdoor or higher-humidity locations (covered patios, primary bathrooms, kitchens with overhead exhaust). Each alabaster panel is hand-cut from Aragón stone, so cloud-like veining patterns vary panel to panel and fixture to fixture. Suited to formal dining rooms, kitchen islands, primary bedrooms, foyer entries, luxury hotel suites, gallery spaces, and covered outdoor lounges in modern, minimalist, contemporary American studio, and warm-organic interiors.
Features
Hand-Cut Alabaster Panels
Capsule-form panels hand-cut from solid Aragón alabaster — unique cloud veining throughout each fixture.
Damp-Rated · Indoor & Out
Suitable for indoor, covered outdoor, primary bathrooms, and humid kitchen locations — wider installation flexibility than standard pendants.
Two Color Temperatures
Choose Warm Light (3000K) or Cool Light (4000K) at checkout — black/white finish is the signature configuration.
Color Temperature — Choose at Checkout
Warm Light · 3000K
Warm white through alabaster — flatters cream and warm wood tones, evening-friendly, residential ambient quality.
Cool Light · 4000K
Neutral white through alabaster — crisp, gallery-quality light for modern interiors and daytime task spaces.
Hand-cut natural Spanish alabaster. Each capsule-form panel is cut and polished by hand from a single block of Aragón alabaster — natural cloud veining, color depth, and translucency vary panel to panel. Within a single fixture, panels are matched in tone for visual cohesion. The piece you receive will not look identical to the photographs. This is the character of natural stone, not a flaw. Default integrated LED is non-dimmable. TRIAC-dimmable and 0–10V dimmable versions are available on request — please contact us before ordering. Custom builds may affect lead time.
Damp-rated installation note. The Megalith is rated for damp locations: indoor, covered outdoor (covered patio, porch, lanai), primary bathrooms, and humid kitchens are appropriate. Not rated for wet locations — direct exposure to driving rain, sprinkler spray, or shower spray will void protection and reduce service life. For full wet-rated installations, please contact us about custom-rated alternatives.

Installation
- Hardwires to a standard ceiling junction box — professional installation recommended.
- For dining tables, kitchen islands, or bathroom vanities, hang the bottom of the alabaster panels 30–36″ above the surface below.
- For foyer entries and primary bedrooms, hang at 7 ft minimum from finished floor.
- The fixture is shipped with the panels pre-attached; rod / drop length can be adjusted on-site by your electrician.
- No bulbs to install — integrated LED is built in and pre-wired through the alabaster panels and globe lamps.
- Verify horizontal clearance: the L 96.5 cm (38″) length requires at least 4 ft of free linear space above the surface below; W 45 cm (17.7″) needs ~2 ft side clearance.
- Damp location installation: for primary bathrooms or covered outdoor placement, ensure the junction box is also damp-rated and use GFCI protection per local code.
- Indoor / damp-rated · clean alabaster panels with a soft dry cloth or barely damp cloth; clean black iron frame with a soft dry cloth — avoid acidic cleaners which can etch porous natural stone.

FAQ
What size space is the Megalith designed for? +
At L 38″ × W 17.7″ × H 45.5″ (96.5 × 45 × 115.5 cm), the Megalith is well-scaled for formal dining tables seating 6–10, kitchen islands of 5–8 ft, primary bathroom vanities of 5–7 ft, primary bedrooms of 18–28 m², foyer entries up to 22 m², and luxury hotel suites. Minimum 9 ft (2.7 m) ceilings; the linear horizontal form needs at least 4 ft of free linear space above the surface below.
Can I install it in a bathroom or covered outdoor area? +
Yes — the Megalith is damp-rated, meaning it's appropriate for indoor, covered outdoor (covered patios, lanais, porches with overhead protection), primary bathrooms (over a vanity, not directly over a shower), and humid kitchen locations. However, it is NOT rated for wet locations — direct exposure to driving rain, sprinkler spray, or shower spray will void the rating and damage the fixture. For full wet-rated installations (e.g., uncovered patios, directly over showers), please contact us about custom-rated alternatives.
What does "damp-rated" mean? +
Damp-rated lighting is built to handle environments with elevated humidity and occasional indirect moisture (steam, splash, condensation) — typically using sealed components, corrosion-resistant materials, and protected wiring. Damp-rated fixtures are appropriate for: bathrooms (away from direct shower spray), kitchens (away from direct stove vents), covered porches and patios, basements, sunrooms. They are NOT appropriate for: open patios, pool areas with chlorine spray, direct shower locations, or any area where the fixture itself would get wet.
Warm Light or Cool Light? +
Warm Light (3000K) gives a soft, residential, evening-friendly glow through the alabaster — the cream tones of the stone come forward, ideal for dining rooms, bedrooms, and entertaining spaces. Cool Light (4000K) gives a crisper, more neutral white through the alabaster — the stone reads more architectural and the cool tone integrates better with daytime task lighting and bathroom installations. For most residential use, Warm Light is the safer choice; for bathroom vanity drops or modern minimalist applications, Cool Light delivers a more contemporary read.
Will my alabaster look exactly like the photo? +
No. Each capsule panel is hand-cut from a fresh block of Aragón alabaster, so cloud veining patterns, color depth, and translucency vary panel to panel. Within a single fixture, the panels are matched in tone for visual cohesion across the linear composition. Between separate orders, some natural variation between fixtures is expected. The photograph shows representative character; your fixture will be unique.
Is the Megalith dimmable? +
The default integrated LED is non-dimmable. TRIAC-dimmable and 0–10V-dimmable versions are available as custom builds — please contact us before ordering and specify your preferred dimming protocol so we ship the right variant. For an explanation of the difference between TRIAC and 0–10V dimming and which one suits your installation, see our technical guide on dimming protocols. Custom builds may extend lead time.
Is it suitable for hospitality and commercial projects? +
Yes — this is a hospitality-grade fixture. The integrated LED system, 3000K/4000K kelvin choice, damp-rating, and customizable dimming protocols make it well-suited to luxury hotel suites, restaurant private dining rooms, hotel bathroom vanities, covered cabana lounges, and high-end residential projects. For project-quantity orders we coordinate matched veining tone within batches, dimming protocol, and lead times directly. Please contact us with your project specification at the earliest stage.

Sculpted by earth,
softened by light.
Rare natural alabaster, hand-carved by master artisans and illuminated from within. Every piece is unrepeatable — a singular convergence of geology and craft.
"Alabaster does not merely hold light — it breathes with it, casting a warmth that cannot be manufactured, only discovered."
Formed through millions of years of slow crystallisation, alabaster is among the world's most ancient decorative stones. When illuminated, it yields a quiet, golden luminosity — gentle, organic, irreducibly human. Our collection exists to honour that rarity, designing forms that allow the stone to speak without interruption.
No two stones
are ever alike.
Alabaster carries within it a geological autobiography — millions of years compressed into veining, crystalline structures, and tonal shifts that no craftsman could plan or replicate. Five expressive patterns emerge most consistently in our collection.

Pure
Clear SurfaceA near-uniform honey surface with barely perceptible variation — the rarest and most meditative expression of the stone.

Ink Marbling
Flowing VeinsSoft, fluid grey veining reminiscent of East Asian ink painting — atmospheric, unhurried, deeply contemplative.

Lightning Veins
Sharp BranchingBold, branching mineral lines that fracture the surface with dramatic precision — striking from any angle and in any light.

Ice Crack
Angular FracturesGeometric fissures suspended within the stone — sculptural formations that diffuse and scatter light with quiet drama.

Snowflake
Crystalline FlecksSuspended constellations of lighter crystalline matter — a delicate drift across the surface that catches light from within.
Natural Variance Is Not a Defect
Because alabaster is a living natural stone, every piece carries its own unique veining and tonal variation — a quality we celebrate rather than suppress. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. If you prefer a perfectly uniform finish, this collection may not align with your expectations — and we kindly invite you to consider this before placing your order.
One material,
every room in the home.
From the grandeur of a double-height chandelier to the intimate glow of a bedside lamp — alabaster scales with intention, adapting to every room's rhythm without sacrificing presence.
Five stages of
quiet craftsmanship.
Every alabaster lamp begins as raw stone and arrives in your hands only after passing through a sequence of precise, unhurried steps — performed by artisans who know how to listen to the material before they shape it.

Material Selection
Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.

Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.

Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.

Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.

Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.
To own an alabaster lamp is to welcome a piece of natural sculpture into your home — shaped by the earth over millennia, refined by artisans over weeks, and completed only in the moment it is illuminated.
Radilum Design Studio

Treat it as the
rare object it is.
Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
- 01Never lift by the power cord. The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
- 02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
- 03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.
See it in motion.
