Installatie
- Erkend elektricien vereist. Vaste plafondhanglamp via bijgeleverde baldakijnplaat en ketting.
- Installatie door specialist aanbevolen. Alabaster is een zacht mineraal — behandel de blaadjes voorzichtig bij uitpakken; til alleen aan de messing armature, nooit aan individuele blaadjes.
- Hang de onderrand 30–34″ boven de eettafel, of 7+ ft boven de inkomhal vloer in loopzones.
- Bevestiging plafond bevestigen. 25–40 kg overschrijdt standaard aansluitdoosindeling — genormeerde armatuurbeugel of spantverankering vereist.
- Onderhoud: albast alleen met een zachte droge doek afstoften. Geen water, glazenreiniger of vloeistoffen gebruiken — albast is poreus en verkleurt. Voor vingerafdrukken een droge chamois gebruiken.

Welke grootte eettafel of ruimte past erbij? +
De Ø 31,5″ kap past bij eettafels van 60–82″ lang — typisch voor zitplaatsen voor 6 tot 10 personen. De diameter van de kandelaar moet tussen de helft en tweederde van de tafel breedte liggen. Voor primaire inkomhalles past het armatuur bij plafonds van 9–12 ft; voor hogere inkomhalles en dubbelhoge afdalingen is langere ketting beschikbaar op aanvraag. Hang de onderrand 30–34″ boven het tafelblad gemeten vanaf het afgewerkte oppervlak.
Hoe zwaar is het en welke plafondondersteuning heb ik nodig? +
Ongeveer 25–40 kg (55–90 lbs) gemonteerd — op of boven standaard residentiële aansluitdoos-indeling. Uw elektricien dient een gecertificeerde zware armatuurbeugel te installeren of te verankeren in een structureel spant voor montage. Neem contact met ons op voor bevestigd verzendgewicht vóór installatie als structurele beoordeling nodig is.
Zal mijn armatuur overeenkomen met de foto's? +
De koperen armature en silhouet zijn volgens strikte specificatie vervaardigd — uw armatuur ziet er identiek uit qua vorm. Het alabaster daarentegen wordt handmatig uit natuurlijke blokken gesneden: de aderspatronen, exacte bloembladedruk, doorzichtigheid en kleine mineraalinsluitsels verschillen van paneel tot paneel. De armatuur die u ontvangt past binnen dezelfde visuele taal als de foto's, maar zal op adersniveau duidelijk onderscheidend zijn — het karakter van natuurlijk alabaster.
Welke gloeilampen moet ik gebruiken? +
E12 of E14 kandelabeersockel gloeilampen (in de VS is E12 de standaard), geleverd door uw installateur. We raden helder gloeilamp-vormige LED's aan op 2700K, ≤ 25W gloeilamp-equivalent. Helder glas geeft het beste effect door alabaster — gemattes glas verzwakt de natuurlijke gloed en is niet aanbevolen. Het aantal lampen wordt bevestigd op het technisch blad.
Is het dimbaar? Lutron-compatibel? +
Standaard bedrading is niet dimbaar. TRIAC-dimbare bedrading is beschikbaar als speciale uitvoering — geef dit aan wanneer u contact met ons opneemt. Compatibel met Lutron Caséta, Diva en forward-phase wandimmers wanneer gebruikt met dimmbare LED-lampen. Zie onze gids over dimmingsprotocollen.
Hoe reinig ik het alabaster? +
Stofaf met een zachte droge microvezelldoek uitsluitend. Gebruik geen water, glasreiniger, ammonia, azijn of enige vloeibare reiniger — alabaster is poreus en water zal het oppervlak verkleuren of bevlekken. Voor vingerafdrukken gebruikt u een droge zeemlap. Houd de armatuur uit zeer vochtige ruimten (stoombadbadkamers, direct boven fornuizen) om het natuursteen in de loop der tijd te behouden.

Because alabaster is a living natural stone, every piece carries its own unique veining and tonal variation — a quality we celebrate rather than suppress. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. Material Selection
Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.
Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.
Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.
Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.
Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.

Every alabaster fixture is completed by its metalwork — the canopy, stem, arms, and fittings that carry the stone and frame its glow. Each is available in seventeen numbered finishes from the Radilum Finishes Library: brass, bronze, iron, steel, nickel, and chrome characters, hand-applied and sealed, or a custom patina grown to match a sample you send us.

Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
- 01Never lift by the power cord.The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
- 02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
- 03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
