De Marie Petite is een wandlamp van messing gebouwd rond een enkele doorzichtige bol — verkrijgbaar in handgesneden alabaster of wit glas — die aan het einde van een gebogen antiek-messingarmpje boven een klein koepelvormig kapje zit. De bol is het primaire element van de lamp: wanneer verlicht, gloeit deze van binnenuit en verspreid de G9-lichtbron het licht door het natuursteen of glas in een warm, ambient licht. De verhoudingen zijn opzettelijk klein en doordacht — D 25,5 × H 26 cm — perfect voor bedpositie, leesoekjes en naast spiegels waar een compacte, sieraad-achtige accentverlichting gewenst is.
Drie afwerkingen in antiek messing — antiek messing, zwart en nikkel — zien er elk anders uit tegen de witte bol. Het materiaal van de kap (alabaster of glas) en de afwerking van het lichaam worden onafhankelijk van elkaar bij afrekenen geselecteerd.
Elk alabaster stuk is uniek. De natuurlijke adertekening van steen varieert tussen individuele stukken — geen twee bollen hebben hetzelfde patroon van doorzichtige nerving en kleurvariatie. Dit is inherent aan het materiaal, geen defect. De glazen uitvoering is consistent tussen stukken.

Albast
Handgesneden natuursteen — semi-doorschijnend, elk stuk uniek. Bij verlichting verspreidt warm licht zich door de nerfstructuur van de steen, wat een zachte, onregelmatige gloed met een levensechte kwaliteit oplevert die glas niet kan repliceren. Kies dit voor slaapkamers en intieme ruimtes waar het natuurlijke materiaalkarakter prioriteit heeft.
Glas
Wit gevroren glas — consistente afwerking tussen exemplaren, gelijkmatige lichtdiffusie en lager risico op beschadiging tijdens transport. Produceert een schoon, uniform gloed zonder de natuurlijke variatie van steen. Kies voor hotelprojecten, grote bestellingen of situaties waar consistentie tussen exemplaren essentieel is.

Installatie
- Hardwired wandmontage — het wordt aanbevolen een erkend elektricien in te schakelen.
- Geschikt voor een standaard enkele wanddoos. Alle montagemateriaal is inbegrepen.
- Dimbaar in combinatie met een dimmable G9 LED-gloeilamp en een TRIAC-compatible dimmerschakelaar (bijv. Lutron Skylark, Leviton Decora).
Gloeilamp niet inbegrepen. Vereist een G9 bi-pin LED-capsule van 2700K warm wit, 3–4W. Voor de albastenshade geldt: een gefrosteerde of opalescente G9-capsule zorgt voor de meest gelijkmatige gloed door de steen heen. Vermijd koel-wit licht (4000K+) dat het warme karakter van zowel het brons als het albast ondermijnt. Vermeld "dimmable" bij aankoop als dimmen nodig is.

Kies albast als het natuurlijke materiaalkarakter prioriteit heeft — de doorzichtige steen diffundeert licht door zijn unieke nervatuur en creëert een warm gloed dat subtiel varieert over het oppervlak van elk exemplaar. Geen twee albastenbollen zijn identiek. Kies glas als u consistentie tussen meerdere eenheden nodig hebt (bijvoorbeeld een hotelproject, een gang met meerdere armaturen), of als robuustheid tijdens transport belangrijk is. De glazen versie produceert een schoon, gelijkmatig gloed zonder de natuurlijke variatie van steen.
Welke afwerking van het lichaam past bij mijn interieur? +
Antiek Brons is het meest periodeverantwoord — de gealtereerde warm-gouden toon past natuurlijk bij albast en is geschikt voor klassieke, transitionale en warm-neutrale interieurs. Zwart creëert een sterker contrast tegen de witte bol — de armatur leest meer grafisch en eigentijds, geschikt voor donkere paletten en gedurfde interieurschemat's. Nikkel is koeler en meer verfijnd — de eigentijdse metaaltoon werkt goed in minimalistische en moderne ruimten waar warm brons te traditioneel zou aanvoelen.
Hoe ziet het er uit als het in paren is geïnstalleerd? +
Heel mooi. De Marie Petite is goed geproportioneerd voor flankeringsparen — twee eenheden symmetrisch aan beide zijden van een badkamerspiegel, een haardmantel of een bed installeren creëert een geordend, juweelachtig kader. De compacte voetafdruk (D 25,5 cm) betekent dat het paar dicht bij het brandpunt kan worden geplaatst zonder de muur te overbelasten. Bij bestelling voor een paar dient u bij checkout vergelijkbare albastenstukken op te geven en kunt u contact opnemen als u nauw afgestemde nervatuurpatronen wilt.
Is het dimbaar, en welke dimmer is compatibel? +
Ja — wanneer deze is voorzien van een dimmable G9 LED-capsule en een TRIAC leading-edge of trailing-edge wanddimmer. Aanbevolen dimmers: Lutron Skylark, Leviton Decora (bevestig LED-compatibiliteit op de dimmerverpakking). De armatur heeft geen ingebouwde dimmer. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. Material Selection
Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.
Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.
Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.
Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.
Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.

Every alabaster fixture is completed by its metalwork — the canopy, stem, arms, and fittings that carry the stone and frame its glow. Each is available in seventeen numbered finishes from the Radilum Finishes Library: brass, bronze, iron, steel, nickel, and chrome characters, hand-applied and sealed, or a custom patina grown to match a sample you send us.

Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
- 01Never lift by the power cord.The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
- 02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
- 03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
Glad I chose the alabaster version. The soft glow and simple shape were exactly what I was hoping for.
When it’s turned on, the alabaster glows softly and gives off a warm, comfortable light. It isn’t harsh at all.
We used a pair on either side of our bathroom mirror, and the size worked out perfectly.
