De Thetford is een messing wandlamp met een klassieke, taps toelopende kapvorm — de verhoudingen zijn traditioneel zonder pompeus te zijn, het geheel leest als rustig verfijnd in plaats van decoratief. Beschikbaar als enkel- of dubbele versie, in drie corpusafwerkingen: messing, nikkel en wit.
De kap is verkrijgbaar in twee materialen — keramiek en aluminium — elk met verschillende licht- en gebruikskenmerken. Keramieke kappen zijn semi-doorschijnend en stralen zacht door het materiaal heen wanneer aangestoken; aluminium kappen zijn ondoorzichtig metaal en sturen licht alleen naar beneden, maar zijn robuuster bij verzending en verhandeling. Beide zijn bij afrekenen beschikbaar.

Lampen niet inbegrepen. Elk arm gebruikt één E26 (VS) of E27 (internationaal) standaardsocket. Aanbevolen: 4–8W LED A19/A60 bij 2700K warmwit, mat- of opaalglas. Voor de keramieke kap produceren matte lampen het meest gelijkmatige glow door de kapwand. Voor de aluminium kap is de laamvorm minder van belang aangezien licht alleen via de open onderkant naar buiten gaat.

Keramische of aluminium lampenkap — welke moet ik kiezen? +
Kies keramiek voor een zachter, meer sfeervoller resultaat — de semi-doorzichtige kapwand gloedt wanneer deze wordt aangestoken en voegt warmte toe aan het wandoppervlak rond de lamp. Dit werkt bijzonder goed in slaapkamers, eetkamers en woonkamers waar de atmosferische kwaliteit van het licht even belangrijk is als de lichtopbrengst zelf. Kies aluminium voor een meer gericht, directioneel resultaat — al het licht treedt uit aan de open onderkant van de kap en produceert een duidelijke lichtkegel voor taakverlichting. De aluminium kap is ook robuuster tijdens transport en biedt over het algemeen minder risico bij internationale bestellingen.
1-kop of 2-kop — wat past bij mijn ruimte? +
De 1-kops versie (L 23 cm) is compact en zelfstandig — geschikt voor bedposities, gangen en ruimtes waar een enkel accentpunt volstaat. De 2-kops versie (L 70 cm) strekt twee armen symmetrisch uit vanaf de centrale baldakijn en werkt als een breder, substantiëler element. Dit is de betere keuze voor het flankeren van een spiegeltje boven de toilettafel, het omlijsten van een schouw of bed, of het verankeren van een groter wandoppervlak waar een enkele kop ondergeschaald zou lijken.
Welke afwerking past bij mijn interieur? +
Messing is warm en historisch passend — geschikt voor traditionele, transitoire en warme neutrale interieurs. Nikkel is koeler en meer eigentijds, ergens tussen chroom en mat zilver — geschikt voor moderne en minimalistische ruimtes. Wit is de meest neutrale en terughoudende optie, die zich aanmeld als een bewuste schone accentuatie tegen witte of lichte muren. In alle drie de afwerkingen blijft de verjongde kapvorm het primaire visuele element.

Ja, wanneer deze is uitgerust met dimmable E26/E27 LED-lampen en een compatibele TRIAC-muurschakelaar voor dimmen (beide apart verkocht). Geef "dimmable" op bij het kopen van lampen. Voor de keramische kapversie levert dimmen tot 30–50% het meest sfeervolle resultaat op — de warme gloed door de keramische wand wordt sterker merkbaar bij lagere helderheid.

Every Thetford fixture is designed to exist alongside the others — same vocabulary, different conversation. Mix Linear Pendants over the island with a Wall Sconce above the backsplash and the room reads as intentionally designed, not accidentally collected.

The Thetford Series offers two shade materials — not as a finish option but as a design decision. The choice between Translucent Porcelain and Industrial Aluminium changes the quality of light, the character of the room, and the decade the space seems to come from. Both are right. The question is which is right for your room.
The two materials are designed to coexist. A common specification: Porcelain pendants over the kitchen island (where atmosphere matters) and Aluminium in the pantry or utility area (where task focus is everything). The contrast reads as collected over time — the hallmark of a premium English interior.
The kitchen essential you didn't know you were missing.
Modern kitchens suffer from over-lighting — recessed LEDs spaced every 18 inches, illuminating nothing in particular at full intensity. Thetford brings light down to human scale, creating intimacy without sacrificing task performance. The ceiling becomes quiet. The island becomes the room.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
