Keramieke kap of aluminium kap — welke kies ik? +
Kies keramiek als u zacht, doorschijnend licht wilt — het gloeilampenlicht schijnt door het keramische materiaal voor een warme, zachte verlichting. Kies aluminium als u scherper, gericht licht wilt zonder doorschijnende gloed — aluminium is ook duurzamer bij verzending met nul breukrisico. Beide produceren dezelfde parasolvorm, maar met verschillende lichtkarakteristieken.
Welke gloeilamp past erin? +
Één E26 (Noord-Amerika) of E27 (EU/VK/AU) standaardsokkel gloeilamp tot 25W. Wij raden een warm wit (3000K) LED aan voor residentiële sfeer. Vintage gloeilampenstijl gloeidraden werken ook goed — de gloeilamp is gedeeltelijk zichtbaar vanaf onder de kegel, en een gloeilampengloeidraad geeft werkplaatskarakter. Gloeilamp niet inbegrepen.
Hoe ver steekt het uit de muur? +
Wanduitsteking is 32 cm (12,6") — gemeten van het muuroppervlak tot de voorkant van de kap. Dit is een aanzienlijke uitsteking geschikt voor bredere muren; meet uw vrije ruimte eerst voordat u bestelt voor smalle gangen of nauwe ruimtes.
Kan ik het als paar bestellen? +
Ja — ziet er prachtig uit in paren aan weerszijden van een bed, open haard of grote spiegel. Bestel gewoon twee eenheden in dezelfde afwerking. Voor consistentie van gelijktijdig vervaardigde partijen bij grotere bestellingen, neem eerst contact met ons op.

Every Thetford fixture is designed to exist alongside the others — same vocabulary, different conversation. Mix Linear Pendants over the island with a Wall Sconce above the backsplash and the room reads as intentionally designed, not accidentally collected.

The Thetford Series offers two shade materials — not as a finish option but as a design decision. The choice between Translucent Porcelain and Industrial Aluminium changes the quality of light, the character of the room, and the decade the space seems to come from. Both are right. The question is which is right for your room.
The two materials are designed to coexist. A common specification: Porcelain pendants over the kitchen island (where atmosphere matters) and Aluminium in the pantry or utility area (where task focus is everything). The contrast reads as collected over time — the hallmark of a premium English interior.
The kitchen essential you didn't know you were missing.
Modern kitchens suffer from over-lighting — recessed LEDs spaced every 18 inches, illuminating nothing in particular at full intensity. Thetford brings light down to human scale, creating intimacy without sacrificing task performance. The ceiling becomes quiet. The island becomes the room.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
