§ 01 · Where We Stand on Reviews

A few things we will and will not do.

Reviews are the closest thing internet retailers ever get to honesty. They are also, in modern e-commerce, the easiest thing to manipulate — which is why we have made some clear choices about how we handle them.

Our policy, in plain language:

  • We display reviews live, from independent platforms. The widgets further down this page pull directly from Trustpilot and Judge.me — neither curated by us, neither filtered by star rating. What you see is what those platforms show.
  • We answer every reasonable critique on the public record. When a customer posts a difficult review, we reply publicly with what happened and what we are going to do about it. We would rather be visibly accountable than quietly defensive.
  • We keep our incentive program separate from public reviews. The thank-you gifts described later on this page are tied to orders, not to star ratings — a five-star reviewer and a one-star reviewer who have placed the same number of orders receive the same thanks.
  • We treat the unhappy reviews as the most useful ones. They are how we learn where the supply chain, the packaging, or the language on a product page is failing real people.
A Word on Imperfection

We ship lighting fixtures across oceans, through customs, into homes built between 1903 and last year. Some orders go beautifully. Some hit unexpected friction. Reviews capture both kinds of stories — and the pattern across many reviews tells more truth than any single voice. We ask you to read the negatives as carefully as the positives. Then write to us if any of them give you pause. We answer every email.

Some Judge.me reviews on this page may carry a "Reviewer received a thank-you gift" badge. These are reviews submitted under our on-site incentive program (described in § 07 below). The gift is awarded equally regardless of star rating, and the disclosure is automatic.

§ 03 · If We Ever Let You Down

The first thing we ask: tell us first.

Every difficult review you read above started as a transaction. Many were resolved after the review went up. Some never reached us at all because the customer assumed it was easier to walk away.

If your fixture arrived with a flaw, in the wrong finish, weeks late, or simply did not match what you expected — please write to us before doing anything else. A real specialist responds within 24 hours, with full authority to refund, replace, repair, or arrange whatever the situation calls for. We do not have an escalation chain. There is no manager-on-call routine, no ticket queue, no script.

Our House Rule · Negotiation First

Please give us a chance to fix it before escalating. A short email almost always resolves an issue inside 72 hours. A bank chargeback, by contrast, opens a formal proceeding that runs 4 to 8 weeks — during which neither side can act freely. A public review, once posted, rarely gets edited even after we resolve everything the next day.

We have never refused a reasonable request. We would rather hear about a bad experience directly so we can put things right than see it sit on the internet uncorrected. Email us. We answer.

If You Already Posted a Negative Review

If you have already left a one or two-star review on Trustpilot, Judge.me, Google, or anywhere else — that does not close the door. It opens a different one. Reach out using the contact below, mention your review, and a senior member of the care team will personally read your case from the beginning. We will not ask you to take down the review as a precondition. We will simply try to make the experience right, and if we succeed, you can decide whether you want to update what you wrote.

§ 04 · A Small Thanks for Coming Back

Every second order ships with a quiet gift inside.

If you have placed one Radilum order and you decide to come back for another, your second order arrives with a Radilum-branded canvas tote tucked inside the crate. No code to enter, no box to tick — it simply shows up. It is the smallest possible way of saying thank you for trusting us twice.

How It Works

The repeat-customer tote is automatically added to any second-or-later order placed against the same email address. No registration required. The gift travels in your shipment crate — nothing extra to schedule, nothing additional to pay.

§ 05 · Lifetime Spend Milestones

For customers who have been with us across multiple projects — homes redone in stages, second properties furnished, hospitality rooms specified across years — we recognise lifetime spend with a small set of milestones. § 06 · Refer a Friend

A small reward, for both of you.

If a friend, colleague, or contractor places their first Radilum order on your recommendation, both of you receive $50 in store credit plus a Radilum canvas tote. The credit is applied to your accounts after their order is delivered (we wait until delivery to ensure the credit is not awarded against an order that ends up being returned).

  • How to refer. Email support@radilum.com with the friend's name and email, or share your unique referral link from your account dashboard. They simply mention your name at checkout if they prefer.
  • Eligibility. The referred customer must be new to Radilum (no previous order on their email). The referrer must have at least one completed order on file.
  • When credits arrive. Both parties receive their store credit and tote within 30 days of the referred order being delivered and outside the standard return window.
  • No cap. Refer as many friends as you like — each successful referral earns the same reward.
§ 07 · The On-Site Review Program

Write what you actually think — we'll thank you for it.

If you have purchased from Radilum, we would love to hear what you think — and we recognise that writing a thoughtful review takes time. To say thanks for that time, we run a small program through Judge.me on our product pages: customers who leave a review (of any length, in any tone, at any star rating) receive a Radilum canvas tote and $20 in store credit.

How the Program Works · In Plain Language

The thank-you gift goes out the same way regardless of what you write. A one-star review and a five-star review both earn the same tote and the same store credit. We ask only that the review reflect your actual experience — favourable, critical, or somewhere in between. Reviews submitted under this program carry an automatic "Reviewer received a thank-you gift" badge so other shoppers can see the context.

This program runs only on Judge.me, our on-site product review system. We do not extend it to Trustpilot or any third-party platform — those reviews remain unincentivised, the way those platforms require.

This approach reflects guidance from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's rules on consumer reviews: an incentive may be offered as long as it is not contingent on a positive rating, the disclosure is clear, and the review reflects genuine experience. We have built the program with those principles as the floor, not the ceiling.
