Semi-Flush Ceiling Lamp · Rubberwood · Shell Mosaic Shade · Natural or Walnut · Integrated LED
A rubberwood ring frame — available in natural or walnut finish — holds a downward-facing bowl shade composed of a dense mosaic of ivory shell tiles. The tiles cover the shade surface in a hand-assembled pattern; each tile is a small irregular piece of natural shell, producing a surface that is simultaneously flat in form and visually complex in texture. Among the shell tiles, hand-placed agate stone accents and abalone shell squares are set at intervals — the agate providing earthy mineral depth, the abalone introducing subtle iridescence that shifts with viewing angle and light source direction.
The integrated LED shines downward through the shell bowl, the light diffusing through the translucent tile gaps into a warm, textured glow on the surface below. At just 12–15 cm in height, the Cadena is a low-profile fixture suited to ceilings under 2.6 m — bedrooms, hallways, bathrooms, and breakfast nooks where a flush or semi-flush mount is the appropriate form. The two sizes — ∅ 46 cm and ∅ 56 cm — scale to the room and table size.
Materials
Frame Finish — Choose at Checkout
The shell mosaic shade is the same ivory-white on both versions. Choose your rubberwood frame finish below.
Natural Wood
Light honey-toned rubberwood grain — warm and airy. The pale frame and ivory shell shade share the same warm undertone, producing a cohesive, sunlit composition. Suits coastal, Japandi, and light-neutral interiors.
Walnut Wood
Deep espresso-toned walnut stain — richer and more contrasted. The dark frame sets off the ivory shell more prominently. Suits warm-dark, maximalist, and mid-century interiors where the contrast is intentional.
Size — Choose at Checkout
Bedrooms, bathrooms, hallways, and breakfast nooks. Room coverage up to approximately 15 m².
Larger bedrooms, dining rooms, and living rooms. Room coverage up to approximately 20 m².
Integrated LED — non-replaceable. Both sizes use two integrated LED modules (54W × 2 and 65W × 2 respectively). The LED is built into the fixture and cannot be replaced by the user. Contact us if service is required.
Low-profile design. At 12–15 cm in height, the Cadena is suited to ceilings at standard or lower heights (2.3–2.8 m). It is not suited to high-ceiling spaces where a flush mount would appear undersized relative to the room volume.

FAQ
Natural Wood or Walnut — which suits my interior? +
Natural Wood is lighter and airier — the honey-toned grain shares the same warm family as the ivory shell shade, creating a cohesive, organic whole. It suits coastal, Japandi, Scandi, and light-neutral interiors where the overall palette is warm and unforced. Walnut creates more visual contrast — the dark espresso-toned frame sets off the ivory shell more prominently, making the mosaic detail more apparent from a distance. It suits maximalist, mid-century, and warm-dark interiors where the contrast is deliberate.
What size suits my room? +
The ∅ 46 cm Small suits rooms up to approximately 15 m² — a standard bedroom (3 × 4 m), a bathroom, a hallway, or a breakfast nook. The ∅ 56 cm Large suits rooms up to approximately 20 m² — a larger bedroom, a dining room for 4–6 people, or a living room where the fixture is the only overhead source. For very large rooms (above 25 m²), consider using two fixtures in a linear arrangement rather than one large flush mount.
Is it dimmable? +
The dimmability depends on the integrated LED driver specification — refer to the spec sheet for confirmation. If the driver is TRIAC-compatible, the fixture can be connected to a standard TRIAC wall dimmer (sold separately — confirm it is rated for LED loads). If dimming is important for your installation, confirm dimmer compatibility before purchasing.
Is the shell mosaic fragile? +
Natural shell is a durable material in its finished and assembled form — the tiles are set and sealed, and the mosaic holds up well under normal ceiling conditions. However, shell and agate are natural materials that should not be exposed to prolonged moisture, direct water contact, or heavy vibration. For a bathroom installation, ensure the fixture is installed in a dry zone away from direct water spray. Dust with a soft dry cloth — avoid abrasive cleaners or direct water on the shell surface.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
