The Lantern Pendant builds on the logic of the traditional street lantern — light protected within a delicate enclosing form. White glass shades are arranged along a gold fluted iron column, each one floating against the vertical structure rather than sitting atop it. The iron shaft is incised with fine fluting that catches and redirects the glow through its ribbed surface; small gold spheres punctuate the column at intervals, acting as visual rests between the larger glass forms.
At 150 cm tall and just 25 cm in diameter, the Lantern reads as a vertical element — more column than chandelier. It suits high-ceiling dining rooms and entryways where the fixture needs vertical presence without horizontal spread, and pairs naturally with classical, transitional, and Art Deco interiors where gold and white are a foundational combination.
Dimensions
Not suitable for sloped ceilings. The Lantern Pendant is designed for installation on flat ceilings only. The vertical column form requires a level canopy mount — a sloped ceiling will cause the fixture to hang at an angle. Do not install on sloped or vaulted ceiling surfaces.
Ceiling height requirement. At 150 cm body height plus 100 cm suspension rod, the total drop from ceiling to bottom is approximately 250 cm before any adjustment. A minimum ceiling height of 3.2 m is recommended to ensure adequate clearance above head level. The suspension rod can be shortened during installation to suit lower ceilings.

How tall does my ceiling need to be? +
The fixture body is 150 cm tall. Add the 100 cm suspension rod and the total drop from the ceiling surface to the bottom of the fixture is approximately 250 cm before any rod adjustment. To maintain comfortable clearance above head level (roughly 200 cm from floor), you need at least 3.2 m of ceiling height. The suspension rod can be cut shorter during installation if your ceiling is lower, but the 150 cm fixture body itself cannot be shortened. Confirm your ceiling height before ordering.
Why can't it be installed on a sloped ceiling? +
The vertical column form of the Lantern Pendant is designed to hang plumb — perfectly vertical. A sloped ceiling canopy will tilt the suspension point, causing the entire 150 cm column to hang at an angle rather than straight down. Unlike shorter pendants where a slight tilt is barely noticeable, the 150 cm height makes even a small angle visually significant. Standard sloped-ceiling adapters also do not resolve this issue adequately for a fixture of this length.
What bulb should I use? +
A standard E26 (US) or E27 (international) bulb. For a fixture of this style — gold column, white glass, Art Deco references — a warm white 2700K LED at 6–10W with a frosted or opal globe produces a soft, even glow through the white glass. An Edison-style filament LED in a globe or candle shape also suits the period aesthetic. Avoid cool white (4000K+) bulbs — they conflict with the warm gold finish. Bulbs are not included.
Is it dimmable? +
Yes, when fitted with a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible TRIAC wall dimmer switch (both sold separately). Specify “dimmable” when purchasing the E26/E27 bulb, and confirm your dimmer switch is rated for LED loads. Dimming enhances the warm, ambient character of the fixture significantly.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
