It's built for hotel lobbies and lounges, restaurant entries, gallery floors, photography studios, retail spaces, and large residential great rooms (over 30 m² / 320 sq ft) where a standard-scale floor lamp would feel undersized. Verify ceiling height of at least 9 ft (2.7 m) and 4+ ft of free floor space around the base.
Do I need an electrician to install it? +
No — this is a plug-in floor lamp with a 150 cm (59″) cord that plugs into any standard wall outlet. No hardwiring, no junction box, no electrician. Just unfold the arm joints, install your bulb, plug in. This makes it easy to relocate the lamp around a space or take it with you when changing properties.
How does the articulated arm work? +
The lamp has four points of articulation: a 360° rotating base, two spring-tensioned arm joints (one at the base, one at the elbow), and a pivoting shade mount. Each spring-tensioned joint uses internal tension springs to hold the arm in any position you set — push the arm up or down and the springs lock it in place via friction. The shade can be aimed in any direction. Together, this gives you full control over where the light is directed.

The shade is matte black on the exterior and white on the interior — light bounces off the white interior and emerges as a focused, warm, slightly diffused beam from the open shade end. This is task light, not ambient — best suited to illuminating a specific area (a workspace, a seating zone, an art installation) rather than filling a whole room.
