Quebra-luz em cerâmica ou em alumínio — qual devo escolher? +
Escolha cerâmica se deseja luz suave e translúcida — o brilho da lâmpada passa através do material cerâmico para um banho de luz quente e delicado. Escolha alumínio se prefere luz direccional mais nítida e não necessita de brilho translúcido — alumínio é também mais resistente no envio sem qualquer risco de quebra. Ambos produzem a mesma silhueta de guarda-chuva, apenas com qualidades de luz diferentes.
Que lâmpada usa? +
Uma lâmpada de base standard E26 (América do Norte) ou E27 (UE/Reino Unido/Austrália) até 25W. Recomendamos um LED branco quente (3000K) para ambiance residencial. Lâmpadas filamento estilo Edison vintage também funcionam bem — a lâmpada é parcialmente visível abaixo do cone, e uma lâmpada filamento adiciona carácter de ateliê. Lâmpada não incluída.
Qual é a distância de projeção na parede? +
A projecção na parede é de 32 cm (12,6") — medida da superfície da parede até à borda frontal do difusor. Trata-se de uma projecção substancial, adequada para paredes mais largas; para corredores estreitos ou espaços reduzidos, verifique o espaço disponível antes de encomendar.
Posso encomendar como um par? +

The Thetford Series is not a mood board assembled from Pinterest references. It is a disciplined answer to a single question: what does a lamp look like when it respects the room? Every decision — the curve of the shade, the weight of the arm, the choice of porcelain over glass — follows from the three principles below.
Breaking away from industrial mass-production to create a home that feels curated over a lifetime. Nothing in this collection was designed to match a catalogue. It was designed to outlast one.

Four archetypes — a complete ecosystem.
Every Thetford fixture is designed to exist alongside the others — same vocabulary, different conversation. Mix Linear Pendants over the island with a Wall Sconce above the backsplash and the room reads as intentionally designed, not accidentally collected.
Two shades. Two entirely different rooms.
The Thetford Series offers two shade materials — not as a finish option but as a design decision. The choice between Translucent Porcelain and Industrial Aluminium changes the quality of light, the character of the room, and the decade the space seems to come from. Both are right. The question is which is right for your room.
The two materials are designed to coexist. A common specification: Porcelain pendants over the kitchen island (where atmosphere matters) and Aluminium in the pantry or utility area (where task focus is everything). The contrast reads as collected over time — the hallmark of a premium English interior.
The kitchen essential you didn't know you were missing.
Modern kitchens suffer from over-lighting — recessed LEDs spaced every 18 inches, illuminating nothing in particular at full intensity. Thetford brings light down to human scale, creating intimacy without sacrificing task performance. The ceiling becomes quiet. The island becomes the room.
The series is designed to be mixed deliberately. Porcelain over the island — Aluminium in the pantry — Sconce above the backsplash. Each fixture speaks the same language with a different inflection. The result is a room that reads as designed, not decorated.
Two rules that change the installation.
Lighting placement is the last decision made and the one that undoes everything else. The two principles below come from our specification team — distilled from hundreds of kitchen projects where the placement was either exactly right or nearly right.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
