Enquanto a Payson simples coloca um difusor de alabastro na parede, a Dupla suspende dois difusores do mesmo corpo em latão antigo — empilhados ou deslocados ao longo do eixo vertical para criar uma presença arquitetonicamente mais substancial. Cada difusor difunde o LED integrado através das veias próprias do alabastro natural, criando dois halos de luz quente e filtrada pela mineralidade da pedra. O efeito é mais dimensional do que uma simples arandela: duas fontes de brilho, dois gradientes de sombra distintos na superfície da parede.

Cada pedra é única. O alabastro natural apresenta veios, variação de cor e translucência que diferem de peça para peça. Os difusores que recebe não serão idênticos às fotografias — e os dois difusores de uma mesma luminária podem também diferir subtilmente um do outro. Isto é inerente à pedra natural, não um defeito.

Alabastro branco produz o brilho mais luminoso e translúcido — a pedra pálida transmite mais luz e os dois difusores em conjunto criam um acento brilhante e limpo. Ideal para salas com paredes neutras ou claras onde deseja que a luminária funcione como um elemento refinado e discreto. Alabastro castanho produz um brilho mais profundo e dourado em ambos os difusores — o tom âmbar aquece notoriamente a emissão de luz e adiciona riqueza à parede atrás da luminária. Ideal para salas com madeira quente, paredes escuras, terracota, ou qualquer interior onde o calor é a prioridade do design.

Serão muito semelhantes mas não idênticos — o alabastro natural apresenta veios individuais e variação de cor subtil em cada peça, pelo que os dois difusores de uma versão Dupla terão padrões ligeiramente diferentes. Because alabaster is a living natural stone, every piece carries its own unique veining and tonal variation — a quality we celebrate rather than suppress. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. If you prefer a perfectly uniform finish, this collection may not align with your expectations — and we kindly invite you to consider this before placing your order.

Every alabaster lamp begins as raw stone and arrives in your hands only after passing through a sequence of precise, unhurried steps — performed by artisans who know how to listen to the material before they shape it.
Material Selection
Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.
Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.
Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.
Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.
Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.

Every alabaster fixture is completed by its metalwork — the canopy, stem, arms, and fittings that carry the stone and frame its glow. Each is available in seventeen numbered finishes from the Radilum Finishes Library: brass, bronze, iron, steel, nickel, and chrome characters, hand-applied and sealed, or a custom patina grown to match a sample you send us.

Order by number, not by name. "Antique brass," "aged brass," "burnished brass" — ask five workshops what those mean and five different metals come back. Finish 04 is the same physical sample in our studio, on the atelier bench, and on your packing list.

Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
- 01Never lift by the power cord.The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
- 02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
- 03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
