Natural Stone Backplate · Frosted Glass Orb · Five Marbles
A wall sconce composed of two simple shapes — an oval natural-stone backplate and a frosted white glass orb perched at one end. The geometry is deliberately quiet, letting the natural variation in the stone do the visual work. Each backplate is cut from genuine marble or travertine, hand-polished, and shaped into a softened capsule-form profile.
The frosted glass orb diffuses the bulb into a soft glow that washes the stone surface behind it, picking out the veining and tonal variation. Available in five distinct natural stones — every piece is unique, and the photograph shows representative examples rather than the exact marble you will receive.

Stone Selection — How It Works
Because each backplate is hand-cut from a unique natural slab, no two are alike — even within the same stone color. After you order, we'll send photos of the slabs we currently have available so you can choose your specific piece before we ship.
- Place your order under this listing with your preferred stone color.
- Within 1 business day, we'll email you photos of the available slabs in that color.
- Reply with your preferred piece. We then begin final preparation and ship.
Each piece is unique. Because the backplate is cut from natural stone, veining patterns, color intensity, and grain direction will vary widely between pieces — even within the same color option. That singularity is the entire point of natural stone, not a defect. The photographs are representative of each stone's overall character.

FAQ
Which stone should I choose? +
The five options each suit different palettes: Beige (travertine tones, soft and neutral) for warm cream-and-oak interiors; White (white with black veining) for modern minimalist spaces; Black (dramatic dark with white veining) for strong statement walls; Red Brown (warm rusty terracotta) for layered earthy interiors; Dark Green (deep forest tones) for jewel-toned or library-style rooms.
Can I choose my exact stone? +
Yes — after you order with your preferred stone color, we'll email you photos of the actual slabs we have in stock within 1 business day. You pick the one you want, and only then do we proceed to final preparation and shipping. If you have a preference for lighter, darker, more or less veined, leave a note at checkout and we'll prioritize matches.
What bulb does it take? +
One G9 LED bulb (not included). G9 is a small bi-pin base, common in compact decorative fixtures and widely available at lighting suppliers. We recommend a dimmable G9 LED up to 5W in warm white (3000K) for the best soft-glow effect through the frosted glass orb.
Can I order it as a pair? +
Yes — this sconce is often installed in pairs flanking a bed, mirror, or doorway. Just order two units in the same stone color. Note that because the natural stones vary between pieces, a pair will share the same overall character but won't be perfectly matched — for closer matching, leave a note at checkout requesting coordinated slabs.
Can I install it in a bathroom? +
Yes — this lamp is well-suited to bathroom walls, particularly flanking a vanity mirror. Because the backplate is natural porous stone, we recommend installing it away from direct shower spray or steam concentration — not directly above a tub or inside a wet zone. Standard ventilation and normal bathroom humidity are not a concern.

The Marble Series
Sculptural fixtures hewn from natural stone — each one carrying the signature of geology, time, and the human hand.
Pressure, heat, and one hundred million years — nature's slowest brushwork. Each lamp wears a pattern that exists once, and never again.
From Stone to Illumination
Marble is not a finish. It is a material with a memory.
A metamorphic rock, marble is born of recrystallized carbonate minerals — limestone subjected to heat and pressure deep within the earth's crust over geological time. Its distinctive veining, the subtle gradient of its color, the cool weight of its surface — all are records of the forces that shaped it across millions of years.
Three Marks of Authenticity
Three qualities you will only find in genuine, quarried marble — and never in anything cast, printed, or manufactured to imitate it.
Distinctive Veining
Each vein traces the path of mineral seepage millions of years ago. Nature's own brushwork — a pattern that exists once, on this lamp, and nowhere else on earth.
Subtle Tonality
Cream, ivory and pearl grey deepen in soft gradients, occasionally crossed by veins of warm caramel. Quiet, natural tones that grace every interior style.
Cool, Tactile Hand
A density and coolness only ancient stone can offer. Marble holds the air around it — substantial, calming, real. A weight you feel before you see.
Five Stages of Slow Craft
From the raw block extracted at the quarry, to the moment the lamp is wired and tested in our atelier — every fixture passes through five hand-guided stages.
Quarrying
Solid blocks are extracted from the foothills, where geological forces left their finest seams. Only stones with sound structure and clean veining are selected.
Slab Cutting
Diamond-tipped blades part the block into precise slabs — each cut is a first reveal of the unique veining hidden inside the stone for millennia.
Shaping & Carving
Each form is cut by skilled hands — a patient negotiation between the designer's intent and the grain of the stone itself.
Hollow & Polish
The interior is bored to delicate walls so warm light may pass through. The exterior is honed and hand-polished to its final, luminous finish.
Assembly
Wiring, sockets and fittings are integrated by our atelier team. Each fixture is bench-tested and inspected before it leaves the workshop.
See the Stone Awaken
Two minutes inside the workshop — block, blade, hand, and the moment light first travels through finished marble.
