Installation
- Plug-in installation — no electrician, no wiring, no ceiling box required.
- Mount the bracket to the wall using the included hardware, hang the fixture, then plug in.
- Position the lamp so the outlet is within 90 cm of the desired switch height — this places the in-line switch within natural reach.
- For a cleaner look, the cord can be routed through a paintable cord-cover channel (sold separately) to disguise the path from lamp to outlet.
FAQ
Do I really not need an electrician? +
Correct — the Nova Glass is plug-in only. You mount the bracket to the wall (regular wall anchors / drywall screws, included), hook the lamp on, and plug the cord into a standard wall outlet. No hardwiring, no ceiling junction box, no electrician required. Renters and design-flexible homeowners both benefit.
How does the on/off switch work? +
An in-line switch sits on the cord, 90 cm (35.4″) from the plug. You toggle the lamp on and off via this switch — there's no wall switch involved. Plan your outlet position so the switch lands within reach when the lamp is hung.
Can I combine any body and glass colour? +
Yes. The body finish (Copper or Chrome) and the glass colour (Beige or White) are independent options at checkout. Choose any of the four combinations: Copper × Beige, Copper × White, Chrome × Beige, or Chrome × White.
Which combination should I choose? +
It depends on the room: Copper × Beige reads warm and Mediterranean — pairs well with terracotta, wood, and warm neutrals. Chrome × White reads crisp and Scandinavian — best with cool whites, greys, and minimalist interiors. Copper × White and Chrome × Beige sit in between, useful for blending warm and cool palettes.
Which bulb do you recommend? +
A warm white (2700K) LED bulb in E26 or E27 base, at 4–6W. Because the glass is smooth and clear, we strongly recommend a frosted or globe-style bulb — clear bulbs with visible filaments will show through and may cause glare directly into the eye line.
Is the lamp dimmable? +
The fixture itself only has an on/off switch on the cord, so it is not dimmable in the box. There is no compatible dimmer on a plug-in fixture without rewiring.
How do I clean the glass diffuser? +
Unplug the lamp and let the bulb cool. Wipe the smooth glass with a soft cloth dampened with mild glass cleaner for the clearest finish. Dust the metal body with a soft dry cloth; for Copper, a dry microfibre cloth preserves the warm tone best.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
