Una lámpara de techo con cuenco invertido en el lenguaje del diseño Art Deco de los años treinta — un cuenco de alabastro poco profundo suspendido por cuatro varas de latón delgadas que se encuentran en un pequeño dosel central. El cuenco está tallado a mano a partir de un único bloque de alabastro español, con seis focos ocultos en su interior, proyectando una luz ambiente ascendente a través de la piedra y hacia el techo.
El marco de latón tiene un acabado envejecido a mano con un toque vintage — más oscuro en la costura recesiva donde el cuenco se encuentra con el borde, más brillante en las varas de latón pulidas. El resultado es una pieza que se percibe como un recipiente de alabastro luminoso en lugar de una lámpara de araña con focos visibles. Adecuada para pasillos, salas de estar, vestíbulos, dormitorios principales y espacios con techos bajos donde se desea una sensación de embutido sin sacrificar presencia — igualmente apropiada en interiores residenciales y de hospitalidad.

Instalación
- Se conecta a una caja de empalme de techo estándar — se recomienda instalación profesional.
- Varilla de suspensión suministrada a 30 cm (11.8″); un electricista puede ajustar la longitud de la varilla para techos más altos.
- Apta para techos estándar de 8 pies o más — la caída total incluyendo el cuenco es aproximadamente 51 cm (20″) desde el dosel hasta la base del cuenco.
- Instala primero las bombillas dentro del cuenco, luego asegura el cuenco al marco.

Con ∅ 16.5″ × H 16.5″, está bien proporcionada para pasillos y corredores de 6–10 m², dormitorios principales y salones de 14–22 m², y vestíbulos de entrada de hasta 18 m². El perfil semiflush (solo 51 cm / 20″ de caída total) la hace especialmente adecuada para techos de 8–9 pies donde un lámpara más profunda se sentiría demasiado baja.
¿Por qué cada cuenco de alabastro se ve ligeramente diferente? +
El alabastro se extrae en Aragón, España y se talla a mano a partir de bloques naturales. El veteado similar a nubes, la profundidad del color y la translucidez son propiedades de la piedra natural — no hay dos cuencos idénticos. Este es el carácter del material, no un defecto, y una de las razones por las que el alabastro ha sido valorado para iluminación ambiental desde tiempos romanos.
¿Es la Dionne regulable? +
Sí, con el bombillo correcto. Cada portalámparas acepta un bombillo de base roscada E26 (EE.UU.) o E27 (UE). Instala bombillos LED regulables en un atenuador de pared TRIAC y la lámpara colgante se atenúa suavemente. Se recomienda blanco cálido 2700K–3000K para realzar el brillo del alabastro.
¿Qué tipo de luz emite? +
Los seis bombillos están ocultos dentro del cuenco, por lo que la luz se proyecta hacia arriba a través del alabastro hacia el techo en lugar de proyectarse hacia abajo. El resultado es una iluminación ambiental indirecta —más suave y atmosférica que una lámpara colgante orientada hacia abajo— con el cuenco mismo brillando como fuente de luz secundaria. Sí —la Dionne es esencialmente una lámpara colgante semi-embutida. La caída total desde el dosel hasta la base del cuenco es de aproximadamente 51 cm (20″), más corta que la mayoría de las lámparas de araña. Funciona cómodamente en techos de 8 pies (240 cm) y es ideal para pasillos y habitaciones donde una caída más larga resultaría intrusiva. La varilla de suspensión de 30 cm también puede acortarse si es necesario.

Because alabaster is a living natural stone, every piece carries its own unique veining and tonal variation — a quality we celebrate rather than suppress. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. If you prefer a perfectly uniform finish, this collection may not align with your expectations — and we kindly invite you to consider this before placing your order.

Material Selection
Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.
Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.
Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.
Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.
Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.

Every alabaster fixture is completed by its metalwork — the canopy, stem, arms, and fittings that carry the stone and frame its glow. Each is available in seventeen numbered finishes from the Radilum Finishes Library: brass, bronze, iron, steel, nickel, and chrome characters, hand-applied and sealed, or a custom patina grown to match a sample you send us.

Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
- 01Never lift by the power cord.The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
- 02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
- 03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
