El Kingston combina un cuerpo de latón antiguo con una pantalla de alabastro blanco español — una piedra de yeso de grano fino, alta pureza y translucidez, extraída en España y utilizada en iluminación decorativa por su capacidad de transmitir luz a través de su propia estructura mineral. Cuando la fuente E12 se activa, la pantalla brilla desde adentro en lugar de reflejar desde una superficie: una luz cálida y difundida por minerales que favorece cualquier pared que ilumine. El acabado latón antiguo tiene la profundidad del metal envejecido — cálido y complejo en lugar del brillo del latón pulido.
Con 34 cm de alto y apenas 8 cm de profundidad, el Kingston se sitúa pegado a la pared con una huella compacta. El panel trasero circular de 15 cm proporciona una superficie de montaje limpia. Dimensiones
Cada piedra es única. El alabastro español presenta vetas naturales, variaciones tonales y translucidez que difieren de una pieza a otra. La pantalla que recibas coincidirá estrechamente con el carácter blanco cálido mostrado en las fotografías, pero el patrón de vetas será distinto — esto es intrínseco a la piedra natural, no un defecto.
Las bombillas no están incluidas. Esta luminaria utiliza un casquillo E12 (candelabro estadounidense) o E14 (candelabro internacional). Recomendamos una bombilla LED candelabro de 2–4W a 2700K blanco cálido con carcasa de vidrio esmerilado u ópalo — el tono cálido complementa tanto el latón antiguo como el alabastro, y el difusor esmerilado evita un punto de luz visible a través de la piedra translúcida.

El alabastro español es una piedra de yeso de grano fino extraída en Aragón, España — una de las fuentes más significativas de alabastro decorativo de Europa. A diferencia del mármol o granito, el alabastro es semi-translúcido: la luz atraviesa la piedra en sí en lugar de reflejarse en su superficie. La variedad blanca posee una translucidez limpia y lechosa con vetas sutiles — cuando la bombilla se activa, la pantalla parece brillar desde adentro, produciendo una calidad de luz cálida y distintivamente orgánica que ningún difusor de vidrio o resina puede replicar.
¿Se pueden emparejar dos flanqueando un cabecero? +
Sí — Kingston se presta muy bien al emparejamiento simétrico. Para un cabecero estándar (140–180 cm de ancho), posiciona el centro del panel trasero de cada aplique aproximadamente 50–60 cm del punto medio del cabecero en cada lado, a una altura donde la pantalla de alabastro se sitúe aproximadamente a la altura de los ojos sentado (100–120 cm del suelo). Los 8 cm de profundidad significan que ambas luminarias se situarán pegadas a la pared sin proyectarse significativamente. Planifica el cableado antes de la instalación ya que ambas requieren conexiones fijas.
¿Qué bombilla da el mejor resultado con la pantalla de alabastro? +
Una bombilla LED candelabro de 2–4W E12/E14 a 2700K blanco cálido con carcasa de vidrio esmerilado u opalino. El vidrio esmerilado dispersa la luz uniformemente a través del alabastro, evitando un punto brillante intenso en la posición de la bombilla — una bombilla de filamento transparente puede parecer un punto de luz a través de las áreas más finas de la piedra. El blanco cálido (2700K) funciona mejor: realza el tono crema natural del alabastro y complementa el acabado de latón antiguo. Las bombillas no están incluidas.
¿Es regulable? +
Sí, cuando se equipan con una bombilla LED candelabro E12/E14 regulable y un interruptor regulador de pared TRIAC compatible (ambos se venden por separado). Especifique "regulable" al comprar la bombilla y confirme que su regulador está clasificado para cargas LED. Regular a 40–60% típicamente produce el efecto más favorable — el resplandor del alabastro se vuelve más suave y cálido a medida que disminuye el brillo, realzando la translucidez mineral de la piedra.

Quarrying
Solid blocks are extracted from the foothills, where geological forces left their finest seams. Only stones with sound structure and clean veining are selected.
Slab Cutting

Shaping & Carving

Hollow & Polish

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
