Meerdere bundels van messingen stengels vertakken zich naar buiten en omhoog vanaf de centrale hub — elke bundel een afzonderlijke groep armen die zich van haar buren onderscheiden, de algehele silhouet verwijzend naar de losse, uitstralende geometrie van een dillplant in bloei. Aan het uiteinde van elke stengel zit een met de hand geworpen witte keramische scherm met open bovenkant, die de E12-bron zowel naar beneden door het keramische lichaam als naar boven door de open kroon stuurt. Dat opwaartse component is het meest karakteristieke kenmerk van de Aldean: wanneer het brandt, werpt het armatuur vertakkende schaduwpatronen op het plafond erboven — de messingen stengel geometrie geprojecteerd als schaduw, het armatuur verdubbelt zijn aanwezigheid in de ruimte.
Drie configuraties — 9, 12 en 18 armen — variëren de dichtheid van de vertakkende bundels terwijl dezelfde ontwerprichting behouden blijft. Alle drie bevatten een 50 cm hangketting die bij installatie instelbaar is. De witte keramische schermen en gepolijste messingen frame zijn vast in alle maten — de keuze is zuiver een kwestie van schaal.

Vertakkende bundel-armen
Meerdere stelen vertrekken vanuit de centrale knoop — de botanische vertakkingsgeometrie creëert een silhouet dat vanuit elke hoek anders oogt.
Handgemaakte keramische kapjes
Elk kapje is individueel handgevormd uit keramiek — lichte variatie in vorm en oppervlak tussen stuks behoort tot het handwerkproces.
Schaduweffect op het plafond
De open bovenrand van de keramische kapjes stuurt licht omhoog — de geometrie van de bronzen stelen projecteert vertakkingspatronen als schaduwen op het plafond wanneer de lamp brandt.
Maat — Kies bij het afrekenen
Lampen zijn niet inbegrepen. Elke arm heeft één E12 (US) of E14 (internationaal) kandelaberfitting. Wij adviseren 2–4W LED E12/E14 kandelabels in warm wit 2700K. De warme toon complementeert het bronzen raamwerk en versterkt het schaduweffect op het plafond — een warme lichtbron creëert scherper gedefinieerde schaduwen dan koelwitte lampen. Een klein globe of cilindrisch LED-lampje past goed in het open keramische kapje.

Welke maat past bij mijn eetkamer? +
De 9-arm (∅ 67 cm) past bij eettafels tot 150 cm en kleinere eetkamers waar een compactere kroonluchter schaalgewijs beter uitkomt. De 12-arm (∅ 78 cm) bedekt standaard 4–6-zits eettafels (150–180 cm) en is de veelzijdigste optie voor open woonruimtes. De 18-arm (∅ 89 cm) is voor grote eetkamers, grote tafels (180–210 cm) en foyers waar maximale visuele dichtheid en plafondschaduwerking het doel is. Naarmate het aantal armen toeneemt, wordt het vertakkingssilhouet dichter en is het schaduweffect op het plafond meer uitgesproken.
Hoe werkt het schaduweffect op het plafond? +
De witte keramische kapjes zijn zowel aan de bovenkant als onderkant open — de E12/E14-lamp in elk kapje zendt licht zowel naar beneden (door het keramiek als verspreid gloed) als naar boven (rechtstreeks uit de open kroon). Het opwaartse licht raakt de bronzen stelen en projecteert hun vertakkingsgeometrie als schaduwpatronen op het plafond boven de lamp. Het effect is het duidelijkst in donkere omstandigheden — hoe lager het omgevingslicht, hoe scherper de schaduwpatronen worden. Warmwitte lampen (2700K) produceren de warmste, meest sfeervolle versie van dit effect.
Zijn de keramische kapjes fragiel? +
Gebakken keramiek is onder normale plafondcondities duurzaam, maar kan splinteren of barsten als het tijdens de installatie rechtstreeks tegen een hard oppervlak wordt geslagen. Wees voorzichtig bij het assembleren — vermijd dat u individuele kapjes tegen de messing stelen of tegen elkaar slaat. Eenmaal geïnstalleerd, zijn de kapjes stationair en niet onderhevig aan dagelijks gebruik. Omdat ze handgeverkt zijn, zijn kleine verschillen in vorm, oppervlaktetextuur en kapjestint tussen individuele onderdelen normaal en inherent aan het handwerkproces.
Is het dimbaar? +
Ja, wanneer deze is uitgerust met dimbare E12/E14 LED kaarsen en een compatibel TRIAC wanddimmer (beide apart verkocht). Geef "dimbaar" op bij aankoop van LED-lampen en controleer of uw dimmer geschikt is voor LED-belastingen. Het dimmen van de Aldean tot 30–50% geeft doorgaans het beste plafondschaduweffect — het gereduceerde omgevingslicht maakt de naar boven geprojecteerde takschaduwen meer zichtbaar en dramatisch tegen het plafondoppervlak.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
