Een zesarmige kandelaar in klassieke Franse boerderijtraditie — een met de hand gesneden houten zuil omgeven door zes sierlijk gebogen ijzeren armen, elk met een kaarsemstem en druppelvanger. Het contrast tussen het massieve gedraaide houten lichaam en het slanke, vloeiende ijzerwerk is de rustige kracht van het ontwerp.
Elk stuk wordt met de hand afgewerkt met een opzettelijk verouderd oppervlak — pigment gewreven in de gesneden nissen terwijl verhoogde delen lichter zijn, wat decennia van natuurlijke veroudering nabootst. Beschikbaar in drie verweerde afwerkingen die bij verschillende interieuraanzichten passen.

Elk stuk wordt met de hand afgewerkt. De verweerde patina wordt met de hand aangebracht op het gesneden houten lichaam, dus het precieze patroon van pigment en slijtage varieert tussen exemplaren. Het uwe zal uniek zijn — dat is opzettelijk en onderdeel van het antieke karakter, geen gebrek.

Ja — de centrale zuil is handgesneden uit massief hout en handmatig afgewerkt met een verweerde patina. De snijwerk en nerf zijn authentiek. De armen zijn gesmeed ijzer met een handgemaakte afwerking die aansluit bij de houten zuil.
Welke gloeilamp past erin? +
Elk van de zes armen gebruikt één E12 (Noord-Amerika) of E14 (EU/VK/AU) candélabre-lamp — het kleinere fitting-formaat dat gebruikt wordt in kroonluchters en kandelaberachtige armaturen, niet standaard E26/E27. Tot 25W per fitting. Wij raden warm witte (3000K) LED candélabre-lampen aan voor de meest authentieke gloed. Lampen niet inbegrepen.
Ziet mijn lamp er precies zo uit als op de foto? +
De silhouet en afwerkingskarakter zullen overeenkomen met de foto's, maar omdat zowel de houten patina als de ijzerafwerking handmatig worden aangebracht, varieert het precieze kleurpatroon en de slijtage tussen exemplaren. De uwe zal uniek zijn — opzettelijk en onderdeel van de antieke esthetiek.
Kan de kettinglengte worden aangepast? +
De standaardketting is 30 cm (12") en kan bij installatie worden ingekort door schakels te verwijderen. Voor langere hanglengtes — gewelfde plafonds, dubbelhogte ruimtes — neem dan contact met ons op voordat u bestelt om een aangepaste kettinglengte in te stellen.

A six-light chandelier that arrives already settled in.
Hand-carved wood, slow-curving iron and a patina rubbed in by hand. It looks like it has hung over the same table for forty years, and it is made to hang there for forty more.

Nothing about it is in a hurry.
The shape is old on purpose: a turned wooden column, a shallow bowl, six arms that dip and rise to hold a candle each. We kept the proportions of a French country original and let the finish carry the years. The light it gives feels less like something new and more like something that was always there.
It started as a pencil drawing.
Before any wood was turned, our designer worked out every curve on paper: the swell of the column, the dip of each arm, the height of every candle. Here is that sheet, drawn again line by line.

The column
Carved, not cast.
The center column is solid wood, turned on a lathe and detailed by hand. Run a finger down it and you feel chisel cuts, not a mold line.
The arms
Six arms, one slow curve.
Each iron arm drops below the bowl before rising to its candle, the same S-curve found on old French country chandeliers. It keeps the fixture light and open from every side of the room.
The patina
Worn in, by hand.
Pigment is rubbed into every recess, then wiped back from the raised edges, the way decades of dusting would. Because it is done by hand, no two pieces wear exactly alike. Yours will be its own.
Four finishes, all of them lived-in.
Pick the one that fits your walls and woods. Every finish is applied by hand, so expect gentle variation from the photos.
Old White
Chalky white with warm wood showing through at the edges. Soft and quietly aged.

Prefer a softer glow?
Choose “With lampshade” at checkout and your chandelier comes with six fabric shades. They hide the bulbs and spread a gentler, more even light, which is lovely over a dining table.

Over a dining table
A chandelier should be about half to two-thirds as wide as the table. At 27.6″ across, it suits tables roughly 42–56″ wide.
Hanging height
Leave 30–36″ between the tabletop and the bottom of the fixture. In a walkway or entry, keep at least 7 ft of clearance underneath.
Room size
Add the room's length and width in feet; the sum is a good fixture width in inches. This size sits comfortably in most dining rooms, kitchens and living rooms.
Ceiling height
Body plus the standard 12″ chain comes to about 32″, ideal for 8–9 ft ceilings. Chain links can be removed to hang it higher. For vaulted ceilings, ask us about a longer chain before you order.

Questions
Is the column real wood?
Yes. The center column is carved from solid wood and finished by hand. The arms are iron with a hand-applied finish chosen to match the column.
Will mine look exactly like the photos?
The shape and overall color will match. Because the patina is applied by hand, the pattern of color and wear varies a little from piece to piece. That variation is intentional and part of the antique character.
What bulbs do I need?
Six E12 candelabra bulbs (the small chandelier-size base, not standard E26), up to 25W each. Warm white 3000K LED candle bulbs give the most natural glow. Bulbs are not included.
Can I change the chain length?
The 12″ chain can be shortened during installation by removing links. For taller or vaulted ceilings, contact us before ordering and we can arrange a longer chain.
Do I need an electrician?
It is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box, so we recommend a licensed electrician for installation.

The wood story
Grain you can see, warmth you can feel
Turned, carved or bead-strung by hand from walnut, oak and beech, every wooden part shows its own grain and colour — expect the natural variation you would want from a solid-wood piece. Finished with low-sheen oils and lacquers that let the grain breathe.
Sizing a chandelier
Add the room’s length and width in feet — that number in inches is a comfortable diameter. Then check the ceiling can carry the weight.
