Een kleine wandlamp met een mild licht. De Santorini's slanke metalen frame omvat een handgesneden alabaster kap — wanneer aangestoken, straalt het natuursteen van binnenuit met zijn eigen unieke nervatuur. Met een hoogte van 34 cm is het geschikt als enkele accent of als overeenkomstig paar langs een gang, naast een bed of als omlijsting van een spiegel.
Elk stuk is uniek. Elke alabaster kap wordt uit natuursteen gesneden, dus het patroon van de nervatuur, kleurstelling en korrelrichting zullen verschillen van de weergegeven foto's — die singulariteit hoort bij het werken met natuursteen, niet bij een gebrek.

Messing
Warm geoxideerd messing — handafgewerkt met een voorgealimenteerde toon die natuurlijk aansluit bij het crèmekleurige alabaster en warmere tonen toevoegt aan koelere wanden.
Zwart
Mat zwart poedercoat lichaam — modern, architectonisch en biedt een sterk contrast tegen het gloeide alabaster.
Alabasterkap is constant. Beide afwerkingen worden verzonden met dezelfde handgesneden witte alabasterkap — alleen de kleur van het metalen lichaam verschilt tussen varianten.

Gloeilamp niet inbegrepen. De Santorini gebruikt een E12 of E14 kandelaber fitting gloeilamp. We raden een warm wit (2700K) LED aan van 4–6W — warm licht brengt de honingtonen in de alabaster nervatuur naar voren. Vermijd koel-wit of daglichtlampen, die hard aanvoelen door natuursteen.
Installatie
- Inbouwwandinstallatie — een erkend elektricien wordt aanbevolen.
- Past in een standaard single-gang wanddoos. Alle bevestigingsmateriaal is inbegrepen.
- Dimmable in combinatie met een dimmable LED gloeilamp en een TRIAC-compatibele wanddimmer (bijvoorbeeld Lutron Skylark, Leviton Decora).
- Aanbevolen plaatsing: op ooghoogte (≈ 150 cm / 60" vanaf de vloer) voor gangen en entrees; 75–90 cm boven het nachtkastvlak voor gebruik in de slaapkamer.
- Alleen voor binnenshuis — uit de buurt houden van vochtige plaatsen en direct stoom.

Zal de alabasten adertekening tussen exemplaren verschillen? +
Ja — elke kap wordt met de hand uit natuurlijke alabaster gesneden, dus de nerven, kleurdiepte en vezelrichting verschillen van stuk tot stuk en van de productfoto's. Dit is kenmerkend voor het werken met natuursteen, geen defect. Als u een paar bestelt (bijvoorbeeld aan weerszijden van een bed of spiegel), bestel ze tegelijk zodat beide wieken uit dezelfde batch worden gesneden voor de beste match.
Hoe reinig ik het alabaster? +
Schakel de wandstroom uit en laat de gloeilamp afkoelen. Stof de alabaster kap af met een zachte, droge doek. Vermijd water, glasreiniger en chemische oplossingen — alabaster is poreus en kan vocht opnemen, wat blijvende vlekken veroorzaakt. Stof ook het messing lichaam af met een zachte droge doek.
Welke gloeilamp beveel je aan? +
Een warm wit (2700K) E12 of E14 kaarslamp LED van 4–6W. Warm licht brengt de honingtinten in de alabaster-nerven uit hun voegen en creëert de zachte, romantische gloed waarvoor de Santorini is ontworpen. Vermijd koel-witte of daglichtlampen — ze zien er hard uit door natuursteen en vlakken de nerven af.
Is de lamp dimbaar? +
Ja — in combinatie met een dimbare LED-lamp en een TRIAC-compatibele wanddimmer (bijv. Lutron Skylark, Leviton Decora) dimpt de Santorini soepel. Opmerking: niet alle kaarslamp-LEDs zijn dimbaar — controleer de bulspecificaties voor aankoop.
Zal het messing lichaam patina krijgen? +
De Antique Brass finish is met de hand afgewerkt met een vooraf verouderde oppervlakte en blijft onder normale binnencondities stabiel — deze zal niet dramatisch patineren of aanslaan in de loop der tijd. Lichte tonaleverschillen op het messing maken deel uit van het handafwerkingsproces. De Matte Black finish is een verzegelde poedercoating en blijft uniform.
Hoe groot is deze lamp en waar werkt deze het best? +
De Santorini is compact — slechts ∅ 13 cm × H 34 cm (∅ 5.1″ × H 13.4″). Deze is geschikt voor muurlampen naast het bed, nauwe gangen, gastenbadkamers, entrees en spiegelflankering. Voor bredere wanden of als enige lichtbron boven een bed, overweeg twee naast elkaar te plaatsen.
Wat is het verschil tussen Brass en Black? +
Zelfde lichaam, dezelfde alabaster kap — alleen de metaalkleur verschilt. Brass brengt warme ambertinten die roomkleurige wanden, natuurlijk hout en traditionele palet complementeren. Black is mat en architectonisch, biedt sterk contrast tegen lichte wanden en past goed bij moderne, industriële of hoogcontrast interieurs.

Because alabaster is a living natural stone, every piece carries its own unique veining and tonal variation — a quality we celebrate rather than suppress. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. Every alabaster lamp begins as raw stone and arrives in your hands only after passing through a sequence of precise, unhurried steps — performed by artisans who know how to listen to the material before they shape it.
Material Selection
Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.
Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.
Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.
Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.
Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.

Every alabaster fixture is completed by its metalwork — the canopy, stem, arms, and fittings that carry the stone and frame its glow. Each is available in seventeen numbered finishes from the Radilum Finishes Library: brass, bronze, iron, steel, nickel, and chrome characters, hand-applied and sealed, or a custom patina grown to match a sample you send us.

Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
- 01Never lift by the power cord.The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
- 02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
- 03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
