De Brady is een scharnierend wandapplique — het lampenkopje draait op zijn armbevestiging, waardoor u het licht nauwkeurig kunt richten zonder het fixture aan de wand te verplaatsen. Het aluminium lichaam houdt de constructie licht en hittebestendig; de zilveren afwerking loopt consistent over arm, gewricht en kopje. Drie armlengte-configuraties — compact (B 12 cm), medium (B 50 cm) en uitgebreid (B 72 cm) — bieden verschillende uitreikingen vanaf het wandoppervlak, passend bij verschillende installatieposities en toepassingsvereisten.
Als insteekwandapplique vereist de Brady geen hardwiring — het snoer loopt van de wandplaat naar een standaard wandcontactdoos. Dit maakt het bijzonder geschikt voor huurwoningen, plaatsen aan het bed waar al een geschakelde contactdoos aanwezig is, en elke ruimte zonder bestaande wandbedrading op de gewenste lamplocatie. De E26-fitting accepteert standaardbollen, waarmee u volledige controle hebt over helderheid, kleurtemperatuur en lichtbundel via de keuze van de bol.

Installatie
Insteekuitvoering — Geen hardwiring vereist
Bevestig de wandplaat op uw gewenste positie met de meegeleverde bevestigingsmiddelen. Het snoer loopt van de plaat naar een standaard wandcontactdoos — voer het verticaal langs de wand of verberg het achter meubels. Er is geen elektrotechnisch werk nodig, en het fixture kan indien nodig gemakkelijk worden verplaatst. Een snoeromhulsel (verkrijgbaar in bouwmarkten) geeft de schoonste wandafwerking.
Lampen zijn niet inbegrepen. De Brady gebruikt een standaard E26 (VS) of E27 (internationaal) fitting. Voor taak- en leeslicht geldt: een 6–10W LED-spotlamp of gericht licht op 3000–4000K neutraal wit geeft de scherpste, meest gerichte uitstraling — neutraal wit vermindert oogvermoeidheid beter dan warm wit bij langdurig lezen. Een standaard gefrosteerde A19/A60 LED op 2700K warm wit is ook geschikt voor ambient- in plaats van taakverlichting.

Welke armlengte moet ik kiezen? +
De compacte (B 12 cm) is voor krappe ruimtes — smalle gangen, kleine nachtkasten waar de lampenkop alleen de muur hoeft te vrijkomen, of posities waar de schommeljustage alleen voldoende directionaliteit biedt. De middelgrote (B 50 cm) is het meest veelzijdig — hij reikt ver genoeg van de muur af om de kop boven een nachtkasten, werkblad of leunstoel te positioneren zonder dat de arm in de weg staat. De verlengde (B 72 cm) is voor posities waarbij het wandmontage punt verder van het doeloppervlak af ligt — een lamp boven en aan de zijkant van een breed bureau gemonteerd, of een nachtkastmontage die teruggezet is van een brede hoofdsteun.
Hoe werkt het schommelpunt? +
Het draaipunt verbindt de lampenkop met het uiteinde van de arm — de kop schommelt vooruit en achteruit op dit gewricht, waardoor de lichtrichting kan worden aangepast zonder de arm of de wandplaat te verplaatsen. Het bereik van justage bestrijkt de meest nuttige taakhoeken: van bijna recht naar beneden gericht (voor een gerichte lichtvlek op een oppervlak direct eronder) tot naar buiten gericht (voor omgevingslicht of leeslicht onder een ondiepere hoek). De kop blijft op positie als deze eenmaal is ingesteld; als het na verloop van tijd spanning verliest, kan het gewricht meestal met een kleine schroevendraaier worden aangedraaid.
Welke gloeilamp is het beste voor lezen en taakverlichting? +
Voor gericht lezen en taakwerk een LED van 6–10W met 3000K neutraal warm wit of 4000K neutraal wit — E26 voor de VS, E27 internationaal. Neutraal wit (3000–4000K) vermindert oogvermoeidheid bij langdurige leessessies beter dan zeer warm wit (2700K), wat vermoeidheid kan veroorzaken bij witpapieren tekst. Een spotlight- of richtingPAR-lamp met een smalle bundel (25–40°) concentreert de output op het taakoppervlak in plaats van het in de ruimte te verspreiden. Een standaard matte A19 met 2700K werkt goed voor zachter omgevingslicht wanneer taakprecisie niet prioritair is.
Is het dimbaar? +
Ja, indien uitgerust met een dimmable LED-lamp en een compatibele plug-in inline-snoeraanstuurmodule (afzonderlijk verkrijgbaar — een rotatie- of schuifregelaar tussen het snoer van de lamp en het wandcontactdoos geplaatst). Alternatief: aansluiten op een geschakeld contactdoos verbonden met een TRIAC-wandaanstuurmodule. Geef "dimmable" op bij het kopen van de LED-lamp. Voor taaklampen die gebruikt worden voor lezen is een dimmer bijzonder handig: op vol vermogen voor gericht werk en verminderen tot 30–50% voor omgeving of ontspannen gebruik op dezelfde positie.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
