Elk lamplichaam is gesneden uit één blok natuurlijke onyx of travertijn. Geen twee stenen hebben dezelfde aderstructuur, textuur of kleurdiepte — elke lamp is werkelijk uniek. Waarom ziet elke lamp er anders uit dan op de foto's? +
Natuurlijke onyx en travertijn zijn over millennia ontstaan, en geen twee blokken hebben dezelfde nerven, textuur of toon. Onze foto's tonen een typisch voorbeeld van elk kleurvarianten — uw lamp zal zijn eigen unieke patroon hebben, wat deel uitmaakt van de inherente schoonheid van het materiaal.
Kan ik twee lampen bestellen die identiek uitzien? +
Nee — dit is fysiek onmogelijk met natuursteen. Ook lampen die uit dezelfde kleurvariante zijn gesneden, zullen verschillen in patroon. Als u een bijpassend paar wilt, raden we aan beide tegelijk te bestellen zodat we twee stukken met een vergelijkbaar karakter uit de huidige voorraad kunnen selecteren.
Wat is het verschil tussen onyx en travertijn? +
Onyx (Cyan en Wit varianten) is een dichte, gepolijste steen met fijne, wolkachtige nerven en een koeler gevoel. Travertijn (Beige variant) is een warmer kalksteen met open poriën en zichtbare horizontale bandjes — de textuur is meer organisch en architectonisch. Beide zijn natuurlijk en duurzaam; de keuze hangt af van kleur en oppervlakteractuur.
Is de lamp dimbaar? +
Ja. Installeer een dimmbare G9 LED-gloeilamp en combineer deze met een TRIAC-compatible wanddimmer. Met een standaardschakelaar werkt de lamp op volle helderheid.
Welke gloeilamp beveel je aan? +
Een dimmbare G9 LED-gloeilamp, 2–4 W, warm wit (2700 K). Warm-witte gloeilampen brengen de natuurlijke warmte van de steen naar voren en creëren een zacht, ambient licht door de glazen kap. Vermijd cool-wit of daglicht gloeilampen — deze verstommen de kleur van de steen.
Hoe zorg ik voor het steenlichaam? +
Wis voorzichtig af met een zachte, droge doek. Vermijd water, oplosmiddelen en agressieve schoonmaakmiddelen — travertijn kan vooral vloeistof opnemen via zijn natuurlijke poriën. De steen hoeft niet te worden gepoetst of opnieuw verzegeld, en natuurlijke onyx is kleurvast.
Zijn SKU's of kleuren altijd beschikbaar? +
Niet noodzakelijk. Omdat we beperkte blokken natuursteen betrekken, kunnen individuele varianten uitverkocht raken en kunnen nieuwe worden toegevoegd. Als een kleur uit de winkel verdwijnt, betekent dit dat de huidige voorraad is uitgeput.

Q1. Will my lamp look exactly like the photos?
No — and that is the point. Each Lucie is turned from a unique block of natural stone, so its veining, colour depth and pattern will be its own; your piece shares the stone family and tone shown, but the exact movement is one-of-a-kind. Natural veins, subtle colour shifts, fine internal lines and tiny pits (especially in travertine, which is naturally porous) are all part of genuine stone — not defects, and not grounds for return on their own. When lit, some veins simply read more clearly, which is the translucency working as intended.
Q2. Do I need an electrician to set it up?
No. The Lucie is a plug-in lamp: it arrives wired with a cord and plug, so there is no junction box and no hardwiring. Fit a bulb, plug it into any standard wall outlet and switch it on with the inline cord switch — ideal for renters, retrofits and anyone who wants beautiful light without an installation.
Q3. What bulb does it use, and is it dimmable?
The Lucie uses a standard screw-base bulb (E26 in North America / E27 elsewhere) and ships ready for a warm 3000K bulb — use an LED within the wattage rating printed on the label. It is operated by an inline switch on the cord and is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmable bulb and matching dimmer. Need a specific voltage, plug type or colour temperature? Q4. How heavy is it — will it tip over?
Because the body is solid stone, the Lucie is reassuringly heavy with a low centre of gravity, so it sits stably on any flat, level surface. As with any stone object, place it away from edges and high-traffic knock zones, and keep the cord tucked so it cannot be snagged.
Q5. What if it arrives damaged, and how do I care for it?
Stone is fragile, so every Lucie is packed in protective, shock-absorbing packaging; in the rare event it arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days with photos of the item and packaging and we will arrange a free replacement or refund. In everyday use, wipe gently with a soft, dry or barely-damp cloth and avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners (vinegar, citrus, scouring pads), which can etch natural stone. Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
