De werkplaatsen van het vroege twintigste eeuw waren de meest eerlijke klaslokalen die het industriële ontwerp ooit heeft gekend. We putten onze organisatiezin uit het Bauhaus, ons onbewerkte materiaal uit de gieteriëen van Manchester, en passen hedendaagse proporties toe zodat het resultaat thuishoort in ruimten die aandacht belonen.
Elk apparaat dat wij maken weigert zijn structuur te verbergen — zichtbare klinknagels, blootgestelde kabelmantel, handgelegde verbindingen. Wat eens op de fabriekshal hoorde, leest nu als architectuur in de kamer.

Bij het ophangen van hanglamen en kroonluchters is het belangrijk rekening te houden met hoe je de lampen in relatie tot de andere meubels in je ruimte wilt laten hangen. Lees verder voor onze aanbevelingen voor het ophangen van de perfecte lamp.
Keuken
Streefd naar 30–36″ afstand tussen de onderkant van de lampenkap en het blad van je eiland of werkblad. Plaats meerdere hanglamen 26–30″ uit elkaar. Voor een goed gevoel van proportie en balans laat je 12″ ruimte tussen de buitenste lamp en de rand van je werkblad.
Eetkamer
Voor optimale verlichting en zichtbaarheid moet de onderkant van je hanglamp 30″ boven het oppervlak van je eettafel hangen. Voor het juiste formaat meet je de lengte en breedte van de kamer in feet en zet je dit om naar inches. Voor een kamer van 10′ bij 14′ moet de kroonluchter ongeveer 24″ breed zijn.
Slaapkamer
Hang je een hanglamp boven een nachtkastje, zorg dan voor minstens 30″ tussen de onderkant van de kap en het oppervlak van je nachtkastje. Voor een evenwichtig uiterlijk plaats je de hanglamp gecentreerd boven je nachtkastje.
