Hand-Carved Alabaster · Cast Brass Ring · Sculptural Floor Lamp
A sculptural alabaster floor lamp in a contemporary, minimalist vocabulary — three linear alabaster sections held at center by a chased brass ring, the lower piece curving along the floor like a foot, the two upper pieces stretching vertically as light columns. Integrated LED engines emit warm light from each open extremity, lighting the alabaster from within so the natural veining reads luminous against the room.
Hand-carved from solid alabaster blocks; cast brass collar polished and lacquered. The piece reads as architecture more than furniture — at home in a great-room reading corner, a primary-suite seating area, or a gallery interior in 5,000+ sq ft estates and luxury hotels where alabaster floor lighting belongs in the design vocabulary.
Why This Fixture
Solid Hand-Carved Alabaster
Three sections cut from solid alabaster blocks. Veining, translucency, and tone vary block to block — every piece is one of one.
Cast Brass Collar
A chased and polished brass ring holds the three alabaster pieces at the architectural center point of the form.
Integrated Warm-Light LED
LED engines concealed at each open extremity light the alabaster from within at 2700K warm white.
Finish
White Alabaster & Polished Brass
Hand-carved white alabaster with natural cream-and-amber veining; cast and polished brass collar. Single standard finish — alabaster veining differs significantly piece to piece.
Hand-carved alabaster — every piece is unique. Veining, translucency, color tone, and minor mineral inclusions vary significantly block to block. The piece you receive will not match the photographs at the veining level — this is the character of natural alabaster, not a flaw.
Specify your plug type at order. Available with US, UK, AU, or EU plug. The integrated LED is wired for AC 110–240V universal voltage — confirm your region and plug type at checkout. Wrong-plug shipments require freight return.

Installation
- Plug-in installation. No hardwiring required — plug directly into a standard wall outlet matching your selected plug type.
- Place on a stable, level surface. The curved lower section rests on the floor; ensure flooring is level and the immediate area is free of high-traffic foot paths.
- Handle alabaster with care. Alabaster is a soft mineral — avoid impact, dropping, or hard-cloth wiping. Two-person handling is recommended during un-crating and placement.
- Cord routing. The 59″ plug cord exits at the base — plan placement near a wall outlet or use a UL-listed extension cord matched to your region.
- Freight delivery. Alabaster is shipped in a custom crate with foam blocking — un-crate slowly with two people, never lifting by the brass ring alone.

Frequently Asked
Will my piece match the photographs? +
No. Alabaster is a natural mineral, hand-carved from solid blocks — veining patterns, translucency, exact tone, and minor mineral inclusions differ significantly between pieces. The lamp you receive will sit within the same visual language as the photographs but will be visibly distinct at the veining level. This is the character of natural alabaster and is part of what distinguishes a hand-carved fixture from a cast resin or composite reproduction.
What's the light output and color temperature? +
Integrated LED engines at each open alabaster extremity emit 2700K warm white light, sized to gently illuminate the alabaster from within rather than to act as primary task lighting. Plan the lamp as architectural ambient light in a reading corner or seating area, paired with a separate task source if direct reading light is needed. Custom 3000K or 4000K available on request.
Is it dimmable? +
Standard wiring is non-dimming. TRIAC-dimmable wiring is available as a custom build — please specify when contacting us. Compatible with standard Lutron Caséta, Diva, and forward-phase wall dimmers when used with a switched outlet. See our dimming protocols guide.
Which plug should I choose? +
Select US, UK, AU, or EU at checkout to match your installation region. The integrated LED is wired for AC 110–240V universal voltage so the same lamp works in any market once the correct plug is fitted. Confirm your plug type before ordering — wrong-plug shipments require freight return and re-ship at the customer's cost.
How do I clean and care for alabaster? +
Dust with a soft dry microfiber cloth only. Do not use water, glass cleaner, ammonia, vinegar, or any liquid cleaner — alabaster is porous and water will discolor or stain the surface. For fingerprints or smudges, use a dry chamois or soft cotton cloth. Keep the lamp away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and high-humidity areas (kitchens, bathrooms) to preserve the stone over time.
Suitable for hospitality and gallery projects? +
Yes — hospitality-grade. The hand-carved alabaster and cast brass construction suit luxury hotel suites and presidential suites, gallery and library interiors, members-club lounges, and contemporary residential projects in 5,000+ sq ft estates. Contact our trade desk for matched alabaster tone within batches, project-quantity coordination, and lead-time confirmation.

Sculpted by earth,
softened by light.
Rare natural alabaster, hand-carved by master artisans and illuminated from within. Every piece is unrepeatable — a singular convergence of geology and craft.
"Alabaster does not merely hold light — it breathes with it, casting a warmth that cannot be manufactured, only discovered."
Formed through millions of years of slow crystallisation, alabaster is among the world's most ancient decorative stones. When illuminated, it yields a quiet, golden luminosity — gentle, organic, irreducibly human. Our collection exists to honour that rarity, designing forms that allow the stone to speak without interruption.
No two stones
are ever alike.
Alabaster carries within it a geological autobiography — millions of years compressed into veining, crystalline structures, and tonal shifts that no craftsman could plan or replicate. Five expressive patterns emerge most consistently in our collection.

Pure
Clear SurfaceA near-uniform honey surface with barely perceptible variation — the rarest and most meditative expression of the stone.

Ink Marbling
Flowing VeinsSoft, fluid grey veining reminiscent of East Asian ink painting — atmospheric, unhurried, deeply contemplative.

Lightning Veins
Sharp BranchingBold, branching mineral lines that fracture the surface with dramatic precision — striking from any angle and in any light.

Ice Crack
Angular FracturesGeometric fissures suspended within the stone — sculptural formations that diffuse and scatter light with quiet drama.

Snowflake
Crystalline FlecksSuspended constellations of lighter crystalline matter — a delicate drift across the surface that catches light from within.
Natural Variance Is Not a Defect
Because alabaster is a living natural stone, every piece carries its own unique veining and tonal variation — a quality we celebrate rather than suppress. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. If you prefer a perfectly uniform finish, this collection may not align with your expectations — and we kindly invite you to consider this before placing your order.
One material,
every room in the home.
From the grandeur of a double-height chandelier to the intimate glow of a bedside lamp — alabaster scales with intention, adapting to every room's rhythm without sacrificing presence.
Five stages of
quiet craftsmanship.
Every alabaster lamp begins as raw stone and arrives in your hands only after passing through a sequence of precise, unhurried steps — performed by artisans who know how to listen to the material before they shape it.

Material Selection
Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.

Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.

Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.

Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.

Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.
To own an alabaster lamp is to welcome a piece of natural sculpture into your home — shaped by the earth over millennia, refined by artisans over weeks, and completed only in the moment it is illuminated.
Radilum Design Studio

Treat it as the
rare object it is.
Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
- 01Never lift by the power cord. The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
- 02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
- 03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.
See it in motion.
