Een wandlamp samengesteld uit een ovale, kapselvormige achterkant die handmatig uit natuurlijke groene onyx is gesneden, met een geslepen opalen glazen bol die gedeeltelijk aan de bovenkant is ingebed. Is dit echt onyx? +
Nee — dit is groene onyx, genoemd naar zijn onyx-groene kleur, niet omdat het echte onyx is. Echte onyx (nefriet of onyxiet) is een ondoorzichtig mineraal dat vooral in sieraden wordt gebruikt, niet in verlichting. Groene onyx is een doorschijnende calcietgebaseerde steen waarvan de natuurlijke kleur toevallig op onyx lijkt — dit is het werkelijke materiaal dat u ontvangt, met de dramatische doorschijnende nerven zoals op de foto's.
Ziet mijn lamp er precies zo uit als op de foto? +
Nee — elke achterkant wordt handmatig uit natuurlijke groene onyx gesneden, dus het patroon van nerven, kleurintensiteit en korrelrichting verschilt tussen stukken. De uwe zal hetzelfde algemene karakter hebben als op de foto's, maar de specifieke markering zal uniek zijn. Voor nauwkeurige kleurkoppeling bij een paar of set kunt u een opmerking achterlaten bij het afrekenen en selecteren we gecoördineerde stukken.
Welke gloeilamp past erin? +
Eén G9 LED-lamp (niet inbegrepen). G9 is een kleine bipolaire aansluiting, gebruikelijk in compacte decoratieve armaturen en algemeen verkrijgbaar. We raden een dimmable G9 LED tot 5W in warm wit (3000K) aan voor de meest gunstige gloed door het opalen glas tegen de stenen achterkant.

Ja — ziet er prachtig uit in paren aan weerszijden van een koppeinde, spiegel of deuropening. Bestel gewoon twee eenheden. Omdat elk stuk natuursteen uniek is, zal een paar hetzelfde algemene karakter hebben maar niet identiek zijn. Voor nauwkeurigere koppeling kunt u een opmerking bij het afrekenen achterlaten.
Kan ik dit in een badkamer installeren? +
Ja — zeer geschikt voor badkamermuren, met name gastentoiletten of boven spiegels in wastafelkamers. Omdat onyx van nature poreus is, installeert u het uit de buurt van direct douchespray of concentratie van stoom. Standaard ventilatie en normale badkamervochtigheid zijn geen probleem.

Q1. Will my lamp look exactly like the photos?
No — and that is the point. Each Lucie is turned from a unique block of natural stone, so its veining, colour depth and pattern will be its own; your piece shares the stone family and tone shown, but the exact movement is one-of-a-kind. Natural veins, subtle colour shifts, fine internal lines and tiny pits (especially in travertine, which is naturally porous) are all part of genuine stone — not defects, and not grounds for return on their own. When lit, some veins simply read more clearly, which is the translucency working as intended.
Q2. Do I need an electrician to set it up?
No. The Lucie is a plug-in lamp: it arrives wired with a cord and plug, so there is no junction box and no hardwiring. Fit a bulb, plug it into any standard wall outlet and switch it on with the inline cord switch — ideal for renters, retrofits and anyone who wants beautiful light without an installation.
Q3. What bulb does it use, and is it dimmable?
The Lucie uses a standard screw-base bulb (E26 in North America / E27 elsewhere) and ships ready for a warm 3000K bulb — use an LED within the wattage rating printed on the label. It is operated by an inline switch on the cord and is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmable bulb and matching dimmer. Need a specific voltage, plug type or colour temperature? Q4. How heavy is it — will it tip over?
Because the body is solid stone, the Lucie is reassuringly heavy with a low centre of gravity, so it sits stably on any flat, level surface. As with any stone object, place it away from edges and high-traffic knock zones, and keep the cord tucked so it cannot be snagged.
Q5. What if it arrives damaged, and how do I care for it?
Stone is fragile, so every Lucie is packed in protective, shock-absorbing packaging; in the rare event it arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days with photos of the item and packaging and we will arrange a free replacement or refund. In everyday use, wipe gently with a soft, dry or barely-damp cloth and avoid acidic or abrasive cleaners (vinegar, citrus, scouring pads), which can etch natural stone. Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
