Spanish Alabaster · Linear Chandelier · Specification-Grade
A long horizontal chandelier composed in a quiet modernist register — ten paired discs of hand-cut Spanish alabaster spaced along a slender brass spine, each pair set face-to-face like overlapping coins to diffuse the light source from both sides. The chain-suspended profile keeps the visual weight low while the alabaster reads as soft, warm geometry over a long table.
Lit, the alabaster glows from within and reveals the cloud-like veining of stone quarried in Aragón, Spain — translucency, color depth, and natural pattern vary disc to disc. Designed for the over-table light of a formal dining room, an open-plan kitchen island, restaurant private dining rooms, and luxury hotel suite living rooms with rectangular floor plans of roughly 14 to 24 ft.
Why It Stands Out
Hand-Cut Spanish Alabaster
Each of the twenty discs is cut and polished by hand from Aragón alabaster — natural cloud veining and warm translucency, no two pieces alike.
Linear Specification-Grade
Hospitality-grade horizontal chandelier scaled for long tables and islands — well-suited to estate dining rooms, restaurant private dining, and luxury hotel suites.
Twenty-Disc Diffusion
Ten paired-disc clusters along a brass spine produce an even wash of warm light along the length of the table without visible bulb glare.
Finish Options
Copper
Warm, rosy-brown metal with subtle reflectivity — pairs naturally with cream alabaster and warm-wood interiors. The most decorative of the three options.
Black
Matte black metal frame for a sharper graphic line — the alabaster reads as bright suspended geometry against the dark spine. Best for contemporary and transitional interiors.
White
Soft satin white frame that disappears into the alabaster, foregrounding the discs themselves — quietest of the three, well-suited to bright modern dining rooms and gallery-style interiors.
Hand-cut natural Spanish alabaster. Each disc is cut and polished by hand from Aragón alabaster — natural cloud veining, color depth, and translucency vary disc to disc. Within a single fixture, discs are matched in tone for visual cohesion. The piece you receive will not look identical to the photographs. This is the character of natural stone, not a flaw. Default integrated light source uses non-dimmable E12 or E14 bulbs (not included). TRIAC-dimmable and 0–10V-dimmable replacement drivers are available on request — please contact us before ordering. Custom builds may affect lead time.

Installation
- Specialist installation strongly recommended. Engage a licensed electrician familiar with linear chandelier suspension; on-site installation is arranged by you.
- Hardwired ceiling fixture. Mounts to a standard ceiling junction box via the rectangular canopy. Chain length is field-adjustable at the canopy.
- Suspension geometry. Hung from a twin-chain rectangular canopy — the canopy and chain anchor points should be square to the table or island below for visual alignment.
- Bulbs are not included. Source ten warm-white E12 or E14 bulbs (LED filament 2700–3000K is the closest match to natural alabaster glow). Maximum 25W per socket to protect the alabaster from prolonged direct heat.
- Dimming. If dimming is required, install dimmable bulbs on a TRIAC-compatible wall dimmer — or request the 0–10V driver variant before ordering.
- Freight delivery is required — please confirm your delivery address has appropriate access for a long, fragile chandelier carton.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long is the Selene chandelier — will it fit my dining table? +
The fixture is 120 cm / 47.2 inches long and 45.5 cm / 17.9 inches tall. It is scaled for tables and islands roughly 14 to 24 ft in length — the visual rule of thumb is that a linear chandelier should span 50–70% of the table length. For dining tables under 12 ft, consider a smaller pendant or a single round chandelier instead. For tables longer than 24 ft, please contact us about coordinating two fixtures end-to-end.
What does the alabaster actually look like — will my piece match the photo? +
No — and that's the point of natural stone. Each disc is hand-cut from a single block of Aragón alabaster, so cloud veining, color depth, and translucency vary disc to disc. Within a single fixture we match discs in overall tone for visual cohesion, but the piece you receive will not look identical to the product photographs. Sophisticated buyers value this character; if you need an exact-match across multiple fixtures (e.g. two over a long table), please contact us at the earliest stage so we can coordinate batches.
What bulbs does it take, and what color temperature looks best? +
The fixture uses ten E12 or E14 candelabra-base bulbs — choose whichever base is standard in your region (E12 for North America, E14 for Europe). Bulbs are not included. For the warm, glowing-stone effect shown in the photographs, use warm white LED filament bulbs at 2700–3000K; cooler temperatures will read as clinical through alabaster. Maximum 25W per socket — alabaster transmits heat from incandescent bulbs over time, and LED filament bulbs at 4–6W each are well within that limit while delivering the warmest glow.
Is the Selene chandelier dimmable? +
Yes, when fitted with dimmable E12 / E14 bulbs the fixture is compatible with most TRIAC-style residential wall dimmers. For commercial or hospitality installations requiring a 0–10V dimming protocol, we can supply a custom-driver variant on request — please contact us before ordering and specify your preferred dimming protocol. For an explanation of the difference between TRIAC and 0–10V dimming and which one suits your installation, see our technical guide on dimming protocols. Custom builds may extend lead time.
Is it suitable for hospitality and commercial projects? +
Yes — this is a hospitality-grade fixture. The linear horizontal scale, alabaster diffusion, and three coordinated finish options make it well-suited to luxury hotel suites, restaurant private dining rooms, hotel reception desks, members'-club lounges, and high-end residential projects. For project-quantity orders we coordinate matched veining tone within batches, finish consistency across multiple fixtures, and dimming protocol directly. Please contact us with your project specification at the earliest stage.

Sculpted by earth,
softened by light.
Rare natural alabaster, hand-carved by master artisans and illuminated from within. Every piece is unrepeatable — a singular convergence of geology and craft.
"Alabaster does not merely hold light — it breathes with it, casting a warmth that cannot be manufactured, only discovered."
Formed through millions of years of slow crystallisation, alabaster is among the world's most ancient decorative stones. When illuminated, it yields a quiet, golden luminosity — gentle, organic, irreducibly human. Our collection exists to honour that rarity, designing forms that allow the stone to speak without interruption.
No two stones
are ever alike.
Alabaster carries within it a geological autobiography — millions of years compressed into veining, crystalline structures, and tonal shifts that no craftsman could plan or replicate. Five expressive patterns emerge most consistently in our collection.

Pure
Clear SurfaceA near-uniform honey surface with barely perceptible variation — the rarest and most meditative expression of the stone.

Ink Marbling
Flowing VeinsSoft, fluid grey veining reminiscent of East Asian ink painting — atmospheric, unhurried, deeply contemplative.

Lightning Veins
Sharp BranchingBold, branching mineral lines that fracture the surface with dramatic precision — striking from any angle and in any light.

Ice Crack
Angular FracturesGeometric fissures suspended within the stone — sculptural formations that diffuse and scatter light with quiet drama.

Snowflake
Crystalline FlecksSuspended constellations of lighter crystalline matter — a delicate drift across the surface that catches light from within.
Natural Variance Is Not a Defect
Because alabaster is a living natural stone, every piece carries its own unique veining and tonal variation — a quality we celebrate rather than suppress. We are unable to specify, select, or replicate any particular pattern. Ink marbling, lightning veins, ice-crack formations, and snowflake inclusions are inherent characteristics of the material and do not constitute a quality issue. If you prefer a perfectly uniform finish, this collection may not align with your expectations — and we kindly invite you to consider this before placing your order.
One material,
every room in the home.
From the grandeur of a double-height chandelier to the intimate glow of a bedside lamp — alabaster scales with intention, adapting to every room's rhythm without sacrificing presence.
Five stages of
quiet craftsmanship.
Every alabaster lamp begins as raw stone and arrives in your hands only after passing through a sequence of precise, unhurried steps — performed by artisans who know how to listen to the material before they shape it.

Material Selection
Rough blocks are hand-assessed at the quarry for translucence, structural integrity, and depth of colour within.

Precision Cutting
Diamond instruments slice the stone into workable panels, guided by its natural grain rather than against it.

Sculpting
Artisans turn, carve, and hollow each form by hand — responding to the stone's character as it is revealed.

Hand Polishing
Progressively finer grits refine the surface until the stone's interior luminosity is fully realised.

Final Assembly
LED modules, solid brass fittings, and hand-finished hardware are fitted and inspected — each piece individually, never in batches.
To own an alabaster lamp is to welcome a piece of natural sculpture into your home — shaped by the earth over millennia, refined by artisans over weeks, and completed only in the moment it is illuminated.
Radilum Design Studio

Treat it as the
rare object it is.
Alabaster is genuine natural stone — each fixture carries substantial weight and deserves the same careful handling you would extend to any fine sculpture. A few simple practices will preserve both piece and electrical integrity for a lifetime.
- 01Never lift by the power cord. The cord is not load-bearing. Tension applied to it can damage internal LED wiring and lead to connection failure over time.
- 02Always support the stone body.Cradle the fixture with both hands when moving or installing. For larger pieces, two people are strongly recommended.
- 03Clean gently; dust often.A dry, soft cloth is all that is needed. Avoid water, solvents, and abrasives — they will dull the polished surface irreversibly.
See it in motion.
