Stacked Leather Hide · Antique Brass · Glass Globe
A wall sconce that celebrates the quiet beauty of stacked natural leather. The Threadline Globe's cylindrical body is built from individually cut hide disks threaded onto a slim vertical core — each disk's raw edge slightly different, forming a textured column that catches light along its grain. A glass globe at the tip diffuses a warm G9 glow, anchored to the wall by a minimalist antique brass backplate.
Each piece is unique. Because the disks are cut from natural hide, no two sconces share the same edge pattern — variation in tone, grain, and edge texture is the signature of working with full-grain leather, not a defect.
Features
Stacked Leather Hide
Hand-cut hide disks threaded onto a vertical core — raw edges visible, each one slightly unique.
Glass Globe Diffuser
A round glass shade softens the G9 bulb into ambient light — warmth, not glare.
Minimalist Brass Backplate
Solid antique brass, hand-finished — sits flat against the wall and recedes into the composition.
Leather Color — Choose at Checkout
Brown
Warm saddle leather — earthy, classic, ages beautifully.
Black
Deep matte hide — modern, architectural, holds shadow well.
White
Luminous milk glass — gallery-clean and pure, letting brass accents read warmer.
Brass backplate is constant across all leather colors. Every Threadline Globe ships with the same hand-finished antique brass hardware — only the leather color changes between variants.

Bulb not included. The Threadline Globe uses a G9 bi-pin base — we recommend a slim G9 LED in warm white (2700K), 3–4W. Because the glass globe diffuses the light, bulb shape is less critical than it would be on a clear-glass fixture.
Installation
- Hardwired wall installation — a licensed electrician is recommended.
- Fits a standard single-gang wall box. All mounting hardware is included.
- Dimmable when paired with a dimmable G9 LED bulb and a TRIAC-compatible wall dimmer (e.g. Lutron Skylark, Leviton Decora).
- Recommended placement: at eye level (≈ 150 cm / 60″ from floor) for corridors and entries; 75–90 cm above the bedside surface for bedroom use.
- Indoor use only — keep the leather away from damp locations and direct steam.

FAQ
Will the leather vary between units? +
Yes — each disk is cut from natural full-grain hide, so edge texture, color depth, and grain pattern differ slightly between pieces. This is the signature of working with natural leather, not a defect. If you're ordering a pair (e.g. flanking a bed), we recommend ordering at the same time so the two sconces are cut from the same hide batch.
How do I care for the leather? +
Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture, harsh cleaners, and leather conditioners — most conditioners darken the hide and can disturb the stacked-edge texture. Keep the sconce out of direct sunlight to prevent uneven fading, and avoid damp locations.
Will the brass backplate develop a patina? +
The antique brass backplate is hand-finished with a pre-aged surface. Under normal indoor conditions it stays stable — the finish will not patina or tarnish dramatically. Light tonal variation across the brass surface is part of the hand-finishing process and is intended.
Which bulb do you recommend? +
A G9 bi-pin LED in warm white (2700K), 3–4W. Because the glass globe diffuses the light, the bulb's exact shape is hidden — you can choose any standard G9 capsule LED. For dimming, make sure the bulb is rated dimmable and pair it with a TRIAC-compatible wall dimmer.
How big is this sconce and where does it work best? +
The Threadline Globe is 48 cm (18.9″) tall — a vertical accent that reads strongly without dominating. It works beautifully flanking a bed, a bathroom mirror, an entryway console, or along a long hallway. Hung in pairs at matched heights, the stacked-leather rhythm becomes a quiet architectural element.
Is the sconce dimmable? +
Yes — paired with a dimmable G9 LED bulb and a TRIAC-compatible wall dimmer (e.g. Lutron Skylark, Leviton Decora), the Threadline Globe dims smoothly. Note: not all G9 LEDs are dimmable, so verify the bulb specifications before purchasing.

Architectural footnotes for the contemporary interior — steel, brass, iron, and the honest marks of the hands that shaped them.

From Factory Floor
to Gallery Wall.
The workshops of the early twentieth century were the most honest classrooms industrial design ever had. We take our sense of order from the Bauhaus, our raw material from the foundries of Manchester, and apply contemporary proportion so the result belongs in rooms that reward close attention.
Every fixture we make refuses to hide its structure — visible rivets, exposed cable sheathing, hand-laid joinery. What once belonged on the factory floor now reads as architecture within the room.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
