Bohemia wird aus einer einzigen organischen Glasform gefertigt, die zwei Volumen in eine kontinuierliche Form verschmilzt — eine äußere Schale in lebendiger Farbe und eine innere Höhlung, die rein weiß bleibt. Im ausgeschalteten Zustand sieht die Lichtquelle nur Weiß und projiziert eine saubere, neutrale Ausleuchtung in den Raum ohne Farbstich. Die Farbe liegt vollständig auf der Außenseite des Schirms und ist von außen als Kunstobjekt sichtbar, während die Lichtqualität selbst unbeeinträchtigt bleibt.
Das transluzente Glas ermöglicht es, dass der innere Glanz durch die farbige Schale hindurchscheint und einen sanften leuchtenden Heiligenschein erzeugt — der Schirm leuchtet von innen, während der Raum darunter sauber von unten ausgeleuchtet wird. Mit 40 cm Breite und nur 21 cm Höhe sind die Proportionen breit und flach, wodurch das Licht großflächig über einen Tisch oder eine Insel projiziert wird, während das farbige Glas von Augenhöhe aus zum visuellen Blickfang wird.

Die Lichtemission ist neutral weiß, unabhängig von der Schirmfarbe. Die innere Oberfläche ist bei allen Versionen weiß – es wird kein farbiges Licht auf den Tisch oder die Decke darunter geworfen. Die Farbe ist eine Eigenschaft des Schirms als Objekt, nicht des Lichts, das er abgibt.
Der Schirm sieht aus- und ausgeschaltet sehr unterschiedlich aus. Wenn unbeleuchtet, wirkt das Glas wie ein solider, undurchsichtiger farbiger Gegenstand. Wenn beleuchtet, leuchtet die transluzente Hülle von innen als leuchtender Halo auf und die organische Form wird vollständig sichtbar. Beeinflusst die Schirmfarbe das Licht im Raum? +
Nein – die Innenseite jedes Bohemia-Schirms ist weiß, unabhängig von der gewählten Farbe. Das Leuchtmittel beleuchtet nur die weiße Innenfläche, sodass das nach unten und in den Raum projizierte Licht immer sauber und neutral ist. Die Glasfarbe ist auf der Außenseite des Schirms sichtbar und erzeugt einen leuchtenden Haloeffekt, tönt aber die Lichtemission nicht nennenswert ein.
Wie viele sollte ich über einem Esstisch aufhängen? +
Bei ∅ 40 cm passt eine einzelne Bohemia zu einem runden oder quadratischen Tisch bis 100 cm und zu kompakten Essecken. Für einen standardmäßigen rechteckigen Esstisch (140–180 cm) sorgen zwei Pendelleuchten in einer Reihe – mit 50–60 cm Abstand – für gleichmäßige Ausleuchtung und eine visuell ausgewogene Komposition. Das Mischen von Farben (z. B. eine Rot und eine Grün) kann in eklektischen Einrichtungen gut funktionieren; passende Farben sind die kohärentere Wahl.
Welches Leuchtmittel sollte ich verwenden? +
Ein 6–10W LED-Leuchtmittel bei 2700–3000K Warmweiß pro Fassung (E26 für USA, E27 international). Warmweiß verstärkt die Umgebungsqualität des Lichts und ergänzt alle drei Glasfarben perfekt. Vermeiden Sie Leuchtmittel über 10W – das Glas ist transluzent und eine sehr helle Lichtquelle kann dazu führen, dass der Schirm aus bestimmten Winkeln zu intensiv wirkt. Leuchtmittel sind nicht enthalten.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
