Marble is quarried in blocks, cut into slabs and hollowed thin enough for light to pass through — when the lamp is on, the veins show like ink in water. Because no two blocks are alike, every piece is one of one; the veining in the photos is a guide, not a promise. Prefer travertine, alabaster or a coloured marble? We cut those too.

Marmor ist keine Oberflächenbehandlung. Er ist ein Material mit Gedächtnis.
Als metamorphes Gestein entsteht Marmor aus rekristallisierten Karbonatmineralen — Kalkstein, der tief in der Erdkruste über geologische Zeiträume hinweg Hitze und Druck ausgesetzt war. Seine charakteristische Äderung, die subtile Farbabstufung, das kühle Gewicht seiner Oberfläche — all das sind Aufzeichnungen der Kräfte, die ihn über Millionen von Jahren formten.
Drei Zeichen der Authentizität
Drei Qualitäten, die Sie nur in echtem, abgebautem Marmor finden — niemals in etwas Gegossenem, Bedrucktem oder in Imitation gefertigtem Material.
Charakteristische Äderung

Abbau
Feste Blöcke werden aus den Ausläufern gewonnen, wo geologische Kräfte ihre schönsten Adern hinterlassen haben. Es werden nur Steine mit sauberer Struktur und reinen Adern ausgewählt.
Plattensnitt
Diamantbestückte Klingen teilen den Block in präzise Platten — jeder Schnitt offenbart zum ersten Mal die einzigartige Äderung, die seit Jahrtausenden im Stein verborgen liegt.
Formgebung & Schnitzerei
Jede Form wird von geschickten Händen geschnitten — eine geduldige Verhandlung zwischen der Absicht des Designers und der Körnung des Steins selbst.
Hohlarbeiten & Politur
Das Innere wird zu feinen Wänden ausgebohrt, damit warmes Licht hindurchdringen kann. Die Außenseite wird gehont und von Hand poliert bis zur endgültigen, leuchtenden Oberfläche.
Montage
Verdrahtung, Fassungen und Beschläge werden von unserem Atelierteam integriert. Jede Leuchte wird werkstattgeprüft und inspiziert, bevor sie die Werkstatt verlässt.
