Die Thetford ist eine Messingwandleuchte mit einer klassischen verjüngten Schirmsilhouette — die Proportionen sind traditionell, ohne aufwändig zu sein, die Gesamtform wirkt ruhig verfeinert statt dekorativ. Der Schirm ist in zwei Materialien erhältlich — Keramik und Aluminium — jedes mit unterschiedlichen Licht- und Handhabungseigenschaften. Keramikschirme sind halbtransparent und leuchten durch das Schirmmaterial, wenn sie beleuchtet sind; Aluminiumschirme sind undurchsichtiges Metall und lenken das Licht nur nach unten, sind aber robuster für Versand und Handhabung. Leuchtmittel sind nicht enthalten. Jeder Arm verwendet eine E26 (USA) oder E27 (international) Standard-Fassung. Empfohlen: 4–8W LED A19/A60 bei 2700K Warmweiß, Mattglas oder Opalglas. Bei der Keramik-Ausführung erzeugen Mattglasleuchten den gleichmäßigsten Glanz durch die Schirmwand. Bei der Aluminium-Ausführung spielt die Leuchtmittelform eine untergeordnete Rolle, da Licht nur nach unten durch die offene Öffnung austritt.

Wählen Sie Aluminium für ein fokussierteres, gezieltes Ergebnis — das gesamte Licht tritt durch die offene Schirmunterseite aus und erzeugt einen definierten Lichtkegel. Der 1er-Kopf (L 23 cm) ist kompakt und eigenständig — geeignet für Nachttischpositionen, Flure und Räume, in denen ein einzelner Akzent ausreichend ist. Der 2er-Kopf (L 70 cm) erstreckt sich mit zwei Armen symmetrisch vom zentralen Baldachin und wirkt wie eine breitere, ausdrucksvollere Leuchte. Dies ist die bessere Wahl zum Flankieren eines Waschtischspiegels, zum Rahmen eines Kamins oder Bettes oder zum Verankern einer größeren Wandfläche, wo ein einzelner Kopf unterbelichtet wirken würde.

Messing ist warm und zeitgerecht — passt zu traditionellen, Übergangs- und warm-neutralen Innenräumen. Nickel ist kühler und zeitgenössischer und sitzt zwischen Chrom und Mattssilber — passt zu modernen und minimalistischen Räumen. Weiß ist die neutralste und zurückgenommene Option und erscheint als bewusstes sauberes Akzent gegen weiße oder helle Wände. In allen drei Oberflächen bleibt die verjüngte Schirmform das Hauptvisualelement.
Ist es dimmbar? +
Ja, wenn Sie dimmbare E26/E27-LED-Leuchtmittel und einen kompatiblen TRIAC-Wanddimmer verwenden (beide separat erhältlich). Geben Sie "dimmbar" beim Kauf von Leuchtmitteln an. Bei der Keramik-Schirmvariante erzeugt das Dimmen auf 30–50 % das atmosphärischste Ergebnis — der warme Glanz durch die Keramikwand wird bei niedrigerer Helligkeit ausgeprägter.

The Thetford Series offers two shade materials — not as a finish option but as a design decision. The choice between Translucent Porcelain and Industrial Aluminium changes the quality of light, the character of the room, and the decade the space seems to come from. Both are right. The question is which is right for your room.
The two materials are designed to coexist. A common specification: Porcelain pendants over the kitchen island (where atmosphere matters) and Aluminium in the pantry or utility area (where task focus is everything). The contrast reads as collected over time — the hallmark of a premium English interior.

Measuring for Pendant Lighting
When installing pendants and chandeliers, it’s important to consider how you want your fixtures to hang in relation to the other furnishings in your space. Read on for our recommendations on how to hang the perfect light.
Kitchen
Aim for 30–36″ from the bottom of your fixture’s shade to the top of your island or countertop. Space multiple pendants 26–30″ apart. For a sense of proportion and balance, allow 12″ from the outermost fixture to the edge of your counter.
Dining Room
For optimal lighting and visibility, the bottom of your pendant should sit 30″ from the surface of your dining table. To scale your fixture, take the length and width of the room in feet, then convert that to inches. For a 10′ by 14′ room, the chandelier should be about 24″ wide.
Bedroom
If you’re hanging a pendant above a nightstand, allow for at least 30″ between the bottom of the shade and your nightstand’s surface. To keep the look balanced, center your pendant over your nightstand.
